Such a masterpiece. A golden treaure and a great story of
second chances and powerful characters. This is how Chinese dramas should be written I was revited from beginning to end. Dou Zhao was definitely one of the best FL's I've seen in CDramas. Strong, courageous, determinedto change not onlyher fate but that of others as well. She was brilliantly acted by Men Ziyi too. Song Mo is someone that is also someone who is driven by his desire for justice and love for his family. His sense of justice can bring him very close to comitting hideous acts but his patience and his love for his wife always manage to pull him back. Itwas great to see Li Yunri leading his first drama, he's excellent and will go far with his talent.The love story of Zhao and Mo was beautiful I love how they worked as a team not only in terms of fighting for justice but in their relationship too. When he needed to take a stepback and think clearly, she was always there offering her hand and he took it. Their relationship was so healthy for that matter. All their battles they fought them together even when they didn't know each other. That was how strong their bond was. Fate brought them together for a reason. I wish more writers would write their main couple like this.
As for the story it keeps you engaged from the first moment. The twists and turns keep you at the edge of your seat you want the heroes to suceeed and the villains to pay (and oh boy do they pay.) I highly recommend this drama.
Overall, 10/10 and I will be watching it over and over again.

Best Drama of The Year!!
Rarely do I get a drama where I do not fast forward or skip any scenes. This drama was so good and kept me engaged in every scene, every episode. I watched everything so intensely and did not find the need to skip through at all because the pace, the story, the characters, and the way the plot unfolds was perfect--*chef's kiss*. Similar to what other have said, I started this drama not expecting much and the lead actors are also new to me so I wasn't sure how their skills were, but the drama and the leads both reached and exceeded beyond my expectations!Usually most long costume dramas (30+episodes) have at least one or two plot holes where something just does not make sense, but I feel like with this drama they did a great job not leaving any plot holes--they also did a great job adding twists to the story that made sense. I loved how each arch was thoroughly laid out and transitioned so that it's interesting, but not confusing to the viewers.
The ML and FL surprised me with how well they acted their roles! They are fresh faces to me and I have to say I am now a big fan of both. Their on-screen chemistry was SO good. Their on-screen romance with each scene was so sweet and full of emotions; they really brought their characters to life. I love the character of FL; she is very smart, resourceful, quick-thinking, and is the type of character that can protect herself well on her own--my favorite type of FL! Makes you feel satisfied watching her lay out her plans.
All in all, this drama is so good that I found myself binge-watching all the episodes within 3-4 days. 100% would re-watch again and again. Definitely my top drama of this year!

i actually thought of dropping it at first but saw the ending it was satisfying to wtch especially my favourite genre i like everything about it the female leads especially no betrayal support for each til the end there freindship was not estroyed by a man i loved the way they stuck with each from the start especially the princess and the female lead no matter the argument they stuck together despite them not sharing bllod relationship even dou zhao sister despite her mother discord i felt bad that she did not save her mom the second time that is the only thing that disheartens and the the death of her sister the husband failed both of themVond je deze recentie nuttig?

I saw reels, Li Yun Rui in white hairs flying in air with a hoodie. Loved him as Yuan Shen in LLTG😍 After DONG HUA DIJUN;Li Yun Rui is the only C drama actor ; i liked in white hairs.He was so comfortable in that look👍👍👍
I was curious, thought will watch only one episode , but that bow in shot where they fell and overlap each other took my 😮
REBORN/REBIRTH is my favorite topic including revenge.This one was only rebirth, but still interested. So, as episodes moved on and story got unfold it was pleasure watching this drama.Everything was perfect; the story telling; execution for every characters was nice. Last one year i was loosing interest. in C Drama and lost all interest in K Drama.So, mostly fwd the scene and watch because story is predictable. Sometimes, you come across the drama where why those characters did things director is not able to explain.Here each and every characters were explain ,motives were explained . A very detailed drama .I was not able to fast forward or skip scene. as they were interconnected. I finished watching it today on this weekend ; and fully satisfied . Couple onscreen chemistry is good. Although, i have never seen FL before ; saw her first time , but she was into the character as if she is Dou Zhao herself. End was totally satisfying.

I am fed up by sad and opening ending in the Cdramas, I wait till last episode so that I know whether it's happy or sad or opening ending. I very very happy that writers of this show didn't follow other writer's path and give us happy ending.Now, the PLOT!!!!!!!!!!! Its so good, very episode kept me on hook. THE COUPLE IS ONE OF THE BESTEST COUPLE IN HISTORY OF C-DRAMA AS THEY WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING JUST LOVE TOWARDS EACH OTHER❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ They are so coordinate with other. It was start with admiring each other and end up together❤️❤️❤️❤️ It's been said that after marriage the love shown in dramas are so good but HERE, Oh my, 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 our ML flirts with FL every time he gets irrespective of places. The way he expressed his love for Shou Gu from his eyes...🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠
Apart from MCs, the friendship between FL, her cousin sister and their friend is best. Yes, some situation arisen where there is kind of argument but friend knows FL always want best for her.
I love when FLs are shown as smart, intelligent, self sufficient and capable which Shou Gu is. 😎😎
What some fresh for me is after rebirth she didn't relay on getting revenge for her death in past life rather she go independent and start her business to be self reliant, as well as focus on herself and her loved ones only. She is forgiving as she even mend her relationship with her step sister when she able to understand that people from past and present can be different.
Where as Song Mo, God he so GREEN FOREST!!!!!!!!!🥰🥰🥰 Although he had his doubt on Shou Gu initially yet he decide to trust her. There is line which he said looking at her, "HERE COME MY BACK UP". My God, I was gone like 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 He always trust her to be his backup in every situation. Never hide anything from her.
The acting of the actors are also so top trie. I am very happy for the actor who play Song Mo to get lead in historical drama. I very much enjoyed his acting since Love and Redemption.

九重紫: A hidden gem
was by far the best Chinese drama that I watched in 2024.This drama captured my attention from the first scene, and I thoroughly enjoyed the well-paced storytelling, free from unnecessary filler that often drags out. It was satisfying to see how Dou Zhao (the female lead) seized her second chance at life, with the unwavering support of Song Mo (the male lead). The drama beautifully portrayed their romantic journey ad the way they worked together to overcome various challenges.
Having previously watched Meng Zi Yi (as Dou Zhao) and Li Yun Rui (as Song Mo) in other notable works, I found this drama to be a standout in redefining my perception of their talents. Their performance in were exceptional, showcasing their depth and range as actors. Both brought their characters to life with such authenticity that I'm eager to see their future projects.
The original soundtrack (OST) also added a memorable layer to the drama. My favorite track, 不羡 by 伯远, perfectly complemented the emotional scenes between the ML and FL, enhancing the overall viewing experience.
Overall, this drama was fantastic, and I wouldn't hesitate to rewatch it if time permits.

BEST CDRAMA EVER!!
The ending lands, as most cdramas cannot! The cinematography is beautiful and so well done. The ml and fl equally carried if not excel my expectations. I like this so much more than love like the galaxy! As it gives that angsty vibe but this is so wholesome in how their romance grew deeper instead of being so tragic like more dramas become. I love how the fl is strong and powerful till the end!! Not just in the beginning. The chemistry of the leads really made a difference and felt it throughout the show. “Blossom” is the BEST DRAMA OF 2024 ?
How do I even begin to tell you how good “Blossom” is? From the writing, cinematography, acting, storytelling, visuals, dialogue and chemistry between the leads. Absolute perfection.From the very first episode, you knew this show was going to be special. By the time we get to the finale, all the issues were resolved and the story came full circle even for side characters.
All the characters had very clear development as well as stayed true to their essence. That’s really hard to do when there’s so much happening and you can’t give each character screen time for the audience to build familiarity with. The ambiguous characters flowed between good and bad, the villains were villains for a reason and the good guys were all for the greater good.
The main characters, Song Mo and Dou Zhao, were dragged into a royal mess and just chess pieces to the royal family. I’m so glad they had each other to navigate and come out of the ordeal unscathed and get their happy ending.
Li Yunrui as Song Mo was the standout performer in this series! He embodied the character and the morality of the character exquisitely. I know his popularity blew up once the show premiered so I’m excited to see him more in lead roles. SM is a top male lead character in this genre moving forward. He is truly a green flag — caring and loving DZ, but never dominating or exerting power over her. He’s so gently when it comes to her whereas he’s fierce as a general.
Meng Ziyi was absolutely fantastic as Dou Zhao and the writing was one of the best written female roles I’ve seen on CDrama. The character itself never strayed from her values and beliefs. DZ was progressive, but also understood traditions. She was strong, but showed vulnerability. She loved deeply and never doubted it. This woman was determined to never let SM stray from his goodness. ✨
SM and DZ were perfect together and I don’t know if another couple can top them for me in CDrama. They demonstrated a relationship that was healthy and equal. They didn’t hide things from each other nor did they assumed what the other person needed — they actually communicated, shared opinions and strategized together. They made promises to each other and kept to them. They didn’t let their own egos overshadow their relationship nor did they let other characters make them doubt each other. All of this is so rare in CDramaland!
I hope Meng Ziyi and Li Yunrui team up again because their chemistry felt so natural and real. You can’t help but root for them.
Some of my favorite scenes were the wedding in ep19 and the reveal of SM’s mother’s death in ep31. Those scenes were so visually beauty and great storytelling. The wedding was particularly wonderful because it felt so grounded by showing the audience details and traditions that you feel as though you’re witnessing a real wedding.
For the last few episodes, I think people are going to want a big battle at the end. However, this show has never been about big action scenes, but rather the characters and their cleverness and strategies. I think how the fighting happened and concluded made the most sense to the story. The show is solid and consistent in its writing.
“Blossom” is a must watch drama and SM and DZ are characters that will be forever iconic in CDramaland.

Storytelling method is lacking, but awesome chemistry
Many times, especially in the earlier episodes, I felt disconnected from the plot because certain scenes seem too predictable/cliché. This also happens when there is an excessive use of modern ideology in the story which is understandable because it is catering to a modern, young audience, but doesn't suit the setting. Perhaps its due to the filming technique, I also felt there were too many anti-climatic scenes. There also isn't any memorable OST, I don't even recall much music from watching. But, these technicalities aside, you can't help but awe at the chemistry the main leads have and the outstanding, overall performance from the entire cast.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Plot cerita yang luar biasa; tidak terburu-buru, juga tidak terlalu lama. Pemilihan aktor dan aktris yang tepat. Aku suka bagian dimana hanya FL dan support character yang mengetahui masa depan. Kemudian timing bagaimana FL dan ML bisa mengembangkan perasaan masing-masing. Romansa kecil-kecilan diantara pemeran utama. Cinematic yang apik juga menjadi faktor semakin betah menontonnya. Vale cada minuto
10 + 10 em tudo...Pensa comigo, é um drama com atores pouco conhecidos, em inicio de carreira, uma produtora corajosa, inicio de carreira também, um diretor de minidrama, e saiu esse drama raiz sensacional?!... não tem como não dar uma ótima avaliação... com cenas de lutas de deixar muito drama SS Plus + premiun (lol) com vergonha.
Isso aqui deu muita lição em produtores e roteiristas de dramas como o da Perola, por exemplo.
Um show perfeito quem ai também lembrou muito de Story of Kunning Palace, talvez o enredo de viagem no tempo com opostos que se atraem, ou talvez apenas o palácio que era o mesmo, mas eu me lembrei muito desse outro drama, deu até vontade de reassistir.
O artificio de viagem no tempo praticamente corrobora com finais felizes, poder reescrever, o receio era o veneno, né... porque o veneno estava solto esse ano na China e em suas histórias, mas como uma historia e fantasia deve ser... deu-se um jeitinho de final feliz...
Quem ai também ficou achando em vários momentos que o ML era filho rei?!... eu fiquei, mas, a história acabou seguindo o caminho de uma boa amizade entre o tio do ML e o rei, ficou legal também...
Para terminar, aplausos a esse roteiro, ele é inteligentíssimo em colocar a protagonista numa posição de articuladora e inteligente sem se perder em coisas modernas de mais para o período em que a história se passa.
É claro que é uma fantasia, mas certas fantasias colocam mulheres independentes e empoderadas de mais em um período que isso não existe… até mesmo para uma fantasia tem que ter coerência com o período em que se passa.
Adoro a cena dele ensinado ela a usar uma amar, baita lição para qualquer mulher dos tempos atuais... para mim toda mulher deveria saber usar uma arma de fogo. É a melhor forma de equilibrar forças em relação a homens maus e violentos. Melhor forma de sobreviver e se salvar em situações de perigo, risco e vulnerabilidade… bom isso é só um comentário a parte, mostrando que toda fantasia tem um que de real, e que sempre podemos tirar boas lições dos nossos doramas amados.
Simplesmente de o play e curta todas as intrigas palacianas possíveis e impossíveis de se colocar num drama, com um química ótima sem economia de beijo.
