The family mourns the death of Grandmother Hua. Hua Zhi blames the first aunt for the death of her grandmother and retaliates by publicly shaming her. Shen Qi and Shen Hua pay their respects, and Shen Hua comes to help support Shao Yao. The Emperor finally releases Yan Xi from his confinement, and he heads straight for Hua Zhi. The court of public opinion

seems to be the only entity that can punish grandma's daughter for her evil doings. Yanxi is clear about his father's crimes but gives into the Emperor's wishes not to hold grudges. Zhi also does not want to hold grudges for what he did to her family and her. She is much too forgiving.
