Props or people?
Others have explained the problems with this follow-up so I'm just sharing some ideas from a conversation with a friend about whether the director Golf sees characters as props or people. It was a useful question and came about because of two other series from Golf.I didn't mind that the Our Skyy was primarily about Wat and the film competition. I would have been happy for two episodes of Ayan and Akk just living their best together life. Or maybe a bit of them figuring out their relationship and themselves post-high school. Something like Khan and Thua got. Why were the 2nd couple given something like plausible consistency with their main series characters and better writing than not-Akk and not-Ayan? Maybe they were just generic enough it was the easiest route?
Given the complete and utter lack of understanding of the main characters though plus the focus on the film maker plus the length of the director's cameo, I do wonder if this wasn't more about Golf than the characters. Maybe it's unfair but it's the only explanation I have for the result. Or maybe it's too generous and the explanation is more a lack of competence. First and Khaotung saved the main series through the emotional depth of their acting after all.
Meanwhile in this it's like First didn't bother with characterisation and just played it as a version of himself. I guess if all you're here for is actors snogging that will do you. But why not fanservice which respects the characters as well? It wouldn't be difficult to keep both types of fans happy.
In short, Khaotung and First made Ayan and Akk people and that's why The Eclipse works despite many moments of questionable writing and plot. Golf made Akk and Ayan into props and that's why the Our Skyy 2 is a self-serving disaster.
Ayan would NEVER do that to Akk. Any director or screenwriter who thinks he would failed to understand the character or how it would destroy Akk.

Just dont watch
This was one of the most anticipated sequels for me as I liked Aye and Ak's relationship a lot, they were cute. And this is way too disappointing. The plot is kinda trash, They made 0 effort to make an interesting story that makes sense. They were fighting over a stupid matter (which I didn't really mind), but if they were making this into a competition which lasted for days then that's too much. And how Wat's remake film ended is perfunctory, despite that's actually the main purpose of the whole trip. The only thing that is nice was the cute interactions between Aye and Akk. but overall, this is a waste of time on a dumb story plot,Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Aye?
Cute but wtf happened to my boy Aye? Akk telling him how he feels unhappy and he tells him to stfu cuz he can't resist when he's angry (?) My boy Aye would never do that when his lover is trying to simply COMMUNICATE. It's simple, Aye would listen to Akk and comfort him. But if we ignore that Aye's birthday Surprise to Akk was really cute and had me crying.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

The ending that The Eclipse story needed.
It's so beautiful. I agree that their fight was childish, but they are so young after all. I mentioned in my The Eclipse review that something was missing but maybe the Our Skyy will make that ending. And yes, I was right. It's adorable seeing them growing up in their relationship. It was a little, just a little, bitter, but life is like this. Makes sense. When I finished The Eclipse, I really missed seeing more about their relationship, and this special delivered me what I want: Seeing them as a couple, for real, without the Suppalo's problems, just them. They have a healthy but obviously teen relationship, and that is beautiful.
And the OST is very cute. I will miss them a lot.

The boys are back! Kind of...
This special feels like someone wrote 50% of a good follow-up to The Eclipse, someone else wrote 50% of a pretty bad The Eclipse fanfiction, and then they stitched it all together, electrocuted it, and produced whatever frankenstein-esque script spawned this show.Seriously, I feel like I got whiplash from how tonally dissonant so many of the scenes here are. Some of them are genuinely good, enjoyable to watch, and the actors clearly had a lot of fun filming them.
The rest of them are uncomfortable, extremely out of character, and just plain weird. They really did my boy Aye so dirty with this, it's almost offensive.
That being said, if you're willing to stick around despite the bad, there is still a very sweet epilogue to the series to be found here. The final scene especially made me tear up with how lovely it is, so for that alone I'd suggest watching at least once.

Fanservice, fanservice, and more fanservice...
These two episodes are pure cuteness, some predictable drama seemingly there just to make it seem as if there is a plot or story but basically this is just a whole bunch of cheese, kisses and fluff. Now I am a person who can appreciate fluff, so it still gets an 8 as I do get to see some beloved characters again... watch whatever happened next including some of my beloved bickering, gazes and what not so I am in no way complaining.
However I can not say that these two episodes where watched for a story... So if you enjoyed The Eclipse and feel like reuniting with some of the characters without having to use your mind or feel stuff go for it this will probably be a fun watch. If you are looking for substance re.watch the original story or watch something else.
P.S the kisses felt like the guys where trying to eat each others faces so no dead fish in sight... Also the OST is cute!

Soulful
The plot is simple and a continuation of almost where they have left drama. The cast and crew did a phenomenal job. The dynamics between Ayan-Akk and Kan-Thau have changed a bit with time and show how much they can understand each other. The chemistry is off the charts. First-Khao and Neo-Lousis outdid themsleves. The inclusion of a retro indie vibe made the series even more enjoyable and funny. I felt terrible for Wat, but his hard work with friends and Sani's support paid off. Namo was comedic and funny. The Your world my world OST by First and Khao and the mini performance by Neo-Louis were an excellent addition.

not a lot but enough
This was cute. It was fun, easy to watch, and had good chemistry. The story, not a whole lot happened, but like any special episode, it is supposed to be fun and cute with a little bit of unresolved angst and nothing is actually supposed to happen. It was cute, though.
acting; I love it; it's very cute and fun. The couples were cute and had actual relatable issues—sort of relatable; it's a Thai drama. It was cute.
I don't mess with singing in dramas, but the guitar scene, while very predictable, was really cute.
Rewatch: I have rewatched every Skyy I have watched, so yes, I am going to rewatch this one. It gets a 9 from me; this was cute and had a vibe I was messing with. I am going to try and actually finish vice versa, lol, but this was cute, and I recommend it. Okay bye!

Much realistic issue between couple
BRUHHHHHHHHHHH!!! FIRSTKHAO’s EPISODES ARE THE CLOSURE THAT I NEED!!! Miss gurl- LET ME TELL YOU MISS GURL- i really feel like they both are made for each other. They truly care for each other and I feel like the feelings are genuine. Another good 2 hours closure by FirstKhao. Love them so fucking much and I like the conflict of the episodes and shows how different they are yet at the end of the day, they love each other and that’s what more important. The fact that they still fighting with each other yet they still succumb to their care and love for each other is what keeps me going to be honest. FirstKhao's acting is beautiful and they did shows part where some of the high schoolers are not sure whether they should go with their dream or study much serious major which I really like. Another gem from FirstKhao. LOVE IT.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
