Acting was also superb so does music I enjoyed this very much and I will recommend this to every one who like historical bl and who enjoyed untamed and word of honour you won't regret it.

No tenía expectativas, simplemente quería apoyar el primer proyecto de adaptación Danmei sin censura, sin embargo me llevé una muy grata sorpresa. Las actuaciones son muy buenas y los protagonistas pueden transmitir todos los sentimientos de los personajes a la perfección. En las escenas más dramáticas me hizo llorar lo cual no es frecuente y la química entre los actores realmente te hacía sentir que están enamorados.Después leí la novela escrita en la que está basado y es muy fiel, los cambios que hicieron (como la edad del personaje de Huaien) me parecieron muy pertinentes. Puedo decir que el drama es mejor incluso que la novela.
Me enteré que son actores novatos, realmente no lo noté mientras veía; que espero que tengan muchos más proyectos.

j'ai adoré ce bl mais pour moi l'histoire a été longue a ce développer, beaucoup trop de personnages secondaires et beaucoup de non dit mais on comprend pas tous mais je lui es mi une bonne note et je le recommande juste que j'ai pris longtemps pour le finir car j'étais focaliser sur l'histoire d'amour et pas le reste sinon le jeux d'acteur est magnifique et pour une fois ils ce sont lâcher heureusement c'était une collab avec la Thaïlande j'ai vraiment aimé donc je le recommande j'espère qu'il vas vous plaireVond je deze recentie nuttig?
Love This Series!
A lot has already been said about Meet You At the Blossom, but I can add that it is a BL that grabs your interest from the beginning and keeps you engaged with cliffhangers, and ah ha moments. The backstories help to understand the currentintrigue and complexities, and the chemistry of the Male Leads sweet moments and not so sweet moments are undeniable.
This series broke me of my usual habit of waiting for all the episodes to drop first before viewing. Once I started watching,
I could not stop! Waiting for tomorrow's finale with high anticipation!

I've missed drama like this one !!!
En tant que grande fan du BL Novel chinois et grande fan de The Untamed et Word Of Honor, je peux dire que c'est un plaisir de voir un nouveau bon BL- Costume Wuxia !Le meilleur point c'est que la romance n'est pas du tout censurée et très explicite depuis le début. On ne perd pas de temps à attendre la confession des protagonistes, on est plongés dans l'intrigue globale (secrets, conspiration entre Lords, meurtre etc...) et les rebondissements de leur relation tumultueuse.
Le jeu des acteurs n'est pas parfait, ils n'ont pas l'air sérieux mais j'adore la comédie qu'il y mettent, ils sont tous très drôles à regarder (surtout les deux serviteurs de Jin Xiaobao).
Je ne me suis toujours pas sentie émue d'une manière ou d'une autre, donc je m'attends maintenant à ce que ce drame touche mes sentiments plus profonds, mais j'ai bon espoir car il vient juste de commencer !

As a big fan of Chinese BL Novel and a huge fan of The Untamed and Word Of Honor, i can say that it's pleasure to see a new good BL- Costume Wuxia !
The best point is the romance not being censored at all and very explicit since the beginning. We don't lose time waiting for the protagonists to confess, we're just into the global plot ( secrets, conspiracy between Lords, murder etc... ) and the twists ad turn of their tumultuous relationship.
The acting is not perfect, they kinda sound unserious but i love their comedy, they're all very funny to watch ( especially the two Jin Xiaobao's servants ).
I still didn't felt actually moved somehow , so i now expect that drama to touch my deeper feelings but i'm hopeful because it just began !

Finally, a true danmei BL from China!
I'm really enjoying this series, wish it was longer than 12 episodes. I absolutely love the dynamic and chemistry between Li Le (Huai'en) and Wang Yun Kai (Xiaobao). The plot is very intricate, reminiscent of Word of Honor, but with elements of humor that relieve the pathos. I'm glad they replaced the brutality of the novel with more tenderness between the two lovers.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

My teenage son and I took this up together (yes we’re a open minded family)We both found the story line confusing in some areas and loosing track of what was happening and why.
It got to a point where he got up and went “f- this I’m not watching this one SA the dimples and then dimples to try SA the tall one; they really shouldn’t be together” and that was it for him (he’s 15)
I stopped a bit further and decided I couldn’t watch it anymore due to it being simply everywhere.

Al sesto episodio ho deciso di interrompere la visione. Purtroppo la romanticizzazione di comportamenti tossici che già aveva fatto qualche apparizione negli altri episodi, viene fuori definitivamente nell'episodio 6: stupro, amore possessivo e controllante, il tutto romanticizzato e non condannato.All'inizio del sesto episodio Huai En prima ha uno scoppio d'ira e ferisce con la spada diverse persone senza motivo, poi stupra Xiao Bao, e poco dopo c'è un cambio di scena in cui Huai En sorride teneramente a Xiao Bao e lo bacia sulla fronte, mentre Xiao Bao è addormentato e sorride anche lui nel sonno. Successivamente è Xiao Bao a scusarsi con Huai En e non il contrario. Xiao Bao dice ad Huai En che può picchiarlo quanto vuole se lo fa stare meglio, perchè lui (Xiao Bao) ha sbagliato e merita di essere picchiato. Non ho parole per esprimere quanto questa successione di eventi sia malsana e totalmente assurda.
L'ambientazione storica mi piace, mi piace anche la colonna sonora e la sigla iniziale, ma provo disagio nel vedere scene in cui violenza immotivata e stupro sono inseriti nella trama come se si trattasse di manifestazioni d'amore, mentre invece in realtà sono l'antitesi dell'amore.

You can't miss this masterpiece
Although I've just seen the two first episodes of the series, I'm astonished by how good this one seems to be. There wasn't anything I didn't like. The acting is perfect, the scenarios, the story (I've not felt confused towards the plot because I'm already used to the way that Chinese novels work), the ost, everything just suits wonderfully. I'm a big fan of Chinese drama and having the opportunity to watch a CBL for the first time can't be put into just a few words. I do recommend you to watch. Deliciously campy uncensored Chinese BL drama
Updated review after watching all 12 episodes - I changed my evaluation to a full 10/10 because I rarely enjoyed something as much as I enjoyed Meet You at the Blossom. It’s a miracle that this drama even exists. I would have watched anything to support a proper Chinese bl drama and am beyond happy that Meet You at the Blossom was truly enjoyable.It’s EVERYTHING. It‘s hilarious, it‘s tragic. It‘s romantic, it‘s toxic. There’s fun and there’s angst, pain and suffering. There’s palace intrigue and there’s family drama. There are loving parents with dubious moral values and there are monstrous parents. There are related siblings that hate each other and there’s adoptive family that love each other. And everything is told in 12 EXCELLENTLY paced episodes. Meet You At the Blossom is too much and never enough. It’s glorious and wonderful and NEVER EVER boring.
The lead actors are SUPER well matched. Everything about this pairing is perfect - the height difference, their faces, their complementing energies. Lead actor Wang Yunkai is a newbie and gives an incredibly charming and enthusiastic performance. And I want to single out the performance of lead actor Li Le. Judging from his interviews and from BTS videos, he‘s one of the sweetest and kindest people on the planet. He said he was worried to accept the role of Huai‘en because it was his first time portraying a character that has a very different personality from his own but he wholeheartedly committed and gave the most eccentric performance.
And yes, I saw negative comments and reviews and am therefore giving an SA trigger warning for the next paragraph because I am referencing the novel Blooming Flowers, Silent Sorrow (source material for Meet You at the Blossom). Some reviewers are bashing Meet You at the Blossom because there are rape scenes in the novel Blooming Flowers, Silent Sorrow. Is it criticism just for the sake of criticizing or is it critical thinking? In any case, critical thinking should look into the context.
An example from the novel - if a 15 year old half orphan who was educated through torture instead of love and who would usually punish people by cutting their throats chooses to rape someone as punishment (instead of throat-cutting), he may be acting in a morally grey area judged by the standards of his time.
However, the creators of Meet You at the Blossom put some thoughts into how to make its source material work in a visual medium. They made deliberate and significant changes while transferring the novel into the drama Meet You at the Blossom. The most challenging thing we get to see are forced kisses (and I think the stories we consume SHOULD challenge us and make us feel uncomfortable because it helps us leave our comfort zone and broaden our horizons). In general, the erotic encounters of the lead couple are sensual and subtle. There are always little elements included that create a vibe of consent, even in scenes with dubious consent.
I truly loved Meet You at the Blossom and hope that many people will give it a chance.

Phenomenal storytelling despite few episodes!
This series was so amazing! The way everything played out was perfect and it didn’t feel rushed nor slowed! I think this is such a good series and if you liked the untamed or word of honor, I think you’ll really like this as well! Even tho this only has 12 eps and the untamed & woh have over 30 episodes, Meet you at the blossom really managed to showcase all relationships and stories perfectly!! The acting might’ve not been 100% all the times but most of the actors are new to this so I think they all did great jobs!! Also for you who watched the untamed & woh and got disappointed by the lack of actual romantic scenes bc of the Chinese censorship but this show is produced by Chinese and Thai people so we got some nice kisses and stuff ??Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
