I'm your father
It's the usually daily format so temper your expectations accordingly before proceeding any further. Both Seo Hyun Jin and her character contributed a lot to the drama to keep it decent enough. Her interactions were the most memorable. On the other hand, the writer robbed off Seo Woo from making her a decent character, writing wise. Meanwhile, Jo Hyun Jae was as static as always throughout his entire career, the man would rather die than changing his expression. There's no justification for the long runtime other than they were contractually obligated to follow the template dedicated to this time slot. At least give the high moments more time to sink in. Especially the ending, there was no need to make it this short, they had the time to take a more relaxed approach.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Consistent sageuk
First of all, the number of episodes might be a turn down for some people, even if we talk of an 1 hour episode. The way the drama begins is very intriguing and draws you in, you want to see what is going to happen next! Of course, we get our usual rivalries as expected and it's sad how misunderstandings make people suffer. More about the story: I have to say I really enjoyed most of it, 90% in fact but I believe the last few episodes were dragged, maybe too dragged for my taste. Everything was revealed way too late and the ending was way too rushed. I needed much more! Also, I wanted one particular character to have a different ending, it just wasn't right.
Acting: really good. Lee Jae Ryong was my favourite by far, he portrayed his role so good, that's why he had a nomination! Honorable mentions: Seo Hyun Jin, Jeon Tae Soo (loved the character development for those two) and of course, Seo Woo, she annoyed me in a good way. All the other characters did a great job as well, but my very favourite character has to be Koo Cheon. Also, what was with the eyes' closeups?
OST: well, it was just one song played almost in every episode, I liked it, but you might get tired at one point. I honestly wanted more variation in the OST.
Rewatch value, not that big for me mainly because of the reasons above. It dragged a bit to get to the final point.
Overall, a really good sageuk, it has something of that older sageuks that nowadays dramas don't have and that's why I enjoyed it a lot in the end.

Masterpiece
It's not everyday where you find a drama this well made the main characters are truly likeable and close to the heart, FL is a strong woman that also values family above all. This drama is about obsession, family plus the love in here isn't abrubt or out of nowhere it builds up slowly I just really really loved it!! I wish sk would make more of these type of dramas rather than youth historical dramas with bad cheap clothing made out of polyester. Anyway this drama is very intriguing and not predictable where people will eventually get what they deserve in good and bad. Highly recommend I have rewatched it countless times and still not bored of it it's on my list of best historicals ever made along with Empress ki, the legend, princess manVond je deze recentie nuttig?
my review of this drama as an old kdramer
at first, i dont know how should i describe the attraction of this drama. i've watched this when i was just 11. and i really liked that. for people who love kdrama and also like dramas like Dong Yi and similar dramas, this will be one of their favorite kdramas that they've ever watched.the story was really awsome and from the first episode until the 108th, the drama was really successful to keep viewers watching.
but that would be really nice if the king found Solnan sooner, i think in the 106th episode the king found that the real princess is solnan. that was so disappointing. and at the end of this drama, relashionship between solnan and nang miong wasnt obvious, i wish the drama showed their wedding.
but overall i really enjoyed thsi drama and every time i want to rewatch a kdrama , this would be one of my best preferences.
and i honestly recommed it to you, any one who likes kdrama and watching kdramas make her/him delighted. Thanks for reading this review.

The beginning was ok… but the rest is Fire, Poison, Love, Passion, Determination, Tension
The first episodes dragged a whole lot that I though I won’t be able to stick to it. But I was all-in for Seo Hyun Jin and I persisted. And this wait was awarded.
At some part of the story I was so invested that the tears suddenly flowed... then, I knew that I was deep in
There were so many hurdles at first; I though the male leads were unattractive, which could have been another turn off for me, but everything else was so good that it didn’t matter at all.
It was a Love-Hate between me and the characters, and between the characters themselves.
Undeniable chemistry in both couples.
It goes by fast.
You want it to happen, and you don’t at the same time.
You want more, and you want things to stay as it is.
It is a story that makes you breath hard.
Blurred lines between good and bad.
Interesting history.
It took me long to warm up, however, it ended up becoming very hot.
Suddenly, I was watching non-stop.
