2PM's Ok Taec Yeon addresses speculation about his engagement

2PM's Ok Taec Yeon shared his side regarding the circulating reports that he is now engaged to his long-term non-showbiz girlfriend.

On February 5, Ok Taec Yeon's agency 51K officially clarified the ongoing reports about the idol actor's marriage proposal. 

The photos believed to show Ok Taec Yeon proposing to his non-showbiz girlfriend in Paris have recently been circulating online.  These photographs, taken in Paris last year, were originally posted on social media by the photographer and later spread, reportedly by a Chinese fan.

Ok Taec Yeon's agency has clarified the situation surrounding the leaked photos.  Their statement confirms that the images, taken last year, show the couple celebrating his girlfriend's birthday, not a marriage proposal.  They expressed regret over the spread.  While acknowledging that Ok Taec Yeon is still dating his girlfriend and may marry in the future, the agency stated there are no current marriage plans.

Ok Taec Yeon publicly confirmed his relationship with a non-celebrity in 2020, and they have been seen together occasionally. After the photos that looked like a marriage proposal were shared online, many people congratulated them.

Meanwhile, 2025 will be a busy year for Ok Taec Yeon. He is set to lead the much-anticipated K-drama Taking the Male Lead's First Night with Girls Generation's Seo Hyun. He will also star in the new series Soul Mate and Taereung Zombie Village. 

Aside from his acting activities, Ok Taec Yeon will also hold his domestic fan meeting from the 15th to the 16th and a Japanese fan meeting on the 8th of next month.

Ok Taec Yeon is known for being part of the K-dramas Heartbeat, Blind, Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, Vincenzo, Save Me, Bring It On, Ghost, Dream High, Cinderella's Sister, and more.

Last year, he also returned to the movie scene and participated in the Japanese film Grand Maison Paris.
