Hospital Playlist stars Yoo Yeon Seok and Jung Kyung Ho will reportedly make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming K-drama Resident Playbook.
According to an exclusive report from media outlet Star News on February 6, Yoo Yeon Seok and Jung Kyung Ho will appear in one of the episodes of the Hospital Playlist spin-off Resident Playbook.
Resident Playbook will reveal the real-life stories, friendships, and struggles of professors and residents at a university hospital. The K-drama will focus on the obstetricians and gynecologists working at the Jongno Yulje Hospital.
The spin-off K-drama will be led by Go Youn Jung, Shin Shi Ah, Kang Yoo Seok, Jung Joon Won, Han Ye Ji, and Lee Bong Ryun.
Director Lee Min Soo (The Secret House and Good For You) and writer Kim Song Hee will work together for the series. The original team of Hospital Playlist director Shin Won Ho and writer Lee Woo Jung will also join the production of the K-drama as creators.
Yoo Yeon Seok and Jung Kyung Ho will possibly reprise their roles as doctors An Jeon Won and Kim Jun Wan.
Resident Playbook will premiere in April and it will exclusively air on tvN.
Aside from Resident Playbook, Yoo Yeon Seok is also booked for two K-dramas this year. The actor will lead the new series Tastefully Yours and God and Law Firm. Last year, Yoo Yeon Seok led the globally hit K-drama When the Phone Rings with actress Chae Soo Bin.
Meanwhile, 2025 is the official comeback year of Jung Kyung Ho to K-dramas. The actor will lead the upcoming series Oh My Ghost Clients with Seol In Ah, Cha Hak Yeon, Tang Jun Sang, and Moon So Ri. The last K-drama led by Jung Kyung Ho was Crash Course in Romance in 2023.
