Netflix original series "Sweet Home" reportedly begins production for its second season!

Several reports circulated on October 6th that "Sweet Home 2" is set to begin its production in December. Only Lee Si Young and Park Gyu Young will re-join the series and other characters will have a new cast. It was also stated in the reports that the new main lead characters have already been picked.

After the success of the first season, many are wishing for a second season. There are several reports circulating that the production is confirmed and it will be announced soon.

"Sweet Home" is the first-ever Korean series on Netflix to rank in the top 10 in more than 70 countries. The series depicts the bizarre story of a high school student named Cha Hyun Soo who lost his family and moved to an apartment. 

The first season was led by Song Kang, Lee Jin Wook, Lee Si Young, Lee Do Hyun, Kim Nam Hee, Go Min Si, and Park Gyu Young. The series was helmed by director Lee Eung Bok ("Goblin" and "Descendants of the Sun").

The second season of "Sweet Home" will reportedly premiere in 2022.

Netflix shared their side on the circulating reports through media outlet Top Star News and clarified that nothing is confirmed yet.

"Sweet Home" was the latest drama project of Lee Si Young. If she confirms her casting for the second season, this will be added to her upcoming drama projects. She is set to star in the dramas "The Mentalist" and "Greed."

Park Gyu Young currently leads the drama "Dali and the Cocky Prince." After starring in "Sweet Home," the actress became part of the drama "The Devil Judge" and also landed her first leading role which is "Dali and the Cocky Prince." She is also set to lead the upcoming drama "Celebrity" with Lee Chung Ah.

Meanwhile, Song Kang, Lee Do Hyun, and Go Min Si starred in several dramas after "Sweet Home." Song Kang became the main lead of "Navillera" and "Nevertheless,". He also worked with Go Min Si again in "Love Alarm 2." Go Min Si on the other hand starred in "Youth of May" with Lee Do Hyun. She is also set to join the upcoming drama "Jirisan." Aside from "Youth Of May," Lee Do Hyun will be starring in the 2021 drama "Melancholia." He is also in discussion to lead "Bloodhound." Lastly, Lee Jin Wook hasn't starred in any drama after "Sweet Home." But the actor will be back to the small screen soon with "The Immortal."
