Aisin Gioro Yinti is the 14th Prince of Emperor Kangxi and Grand Imperial Concubine De. He has another blood brother, Aisin Gioro Yinzhen (4th Prince) who later became the Emperor Yongzheng. However, in the famous princes' fight for the throne, Yinti was part of a different faction to his blood brother.
Yinti aligned himself to Aisin Gioro Yinsi (8th Prince) and was a favoured son of both Emperor Kangxi and Grand Imperial Concubine De. He supported 8th Prince's romance with Maertai Ruoxi but when Ruoxi rejected 8th Prince's proposal, he became friends with her, eventually falling in love with her.
When his brother ascended the throne as Emperor Yongzheng, he offered to help Ruoxi leave the Forbidden City if she wanted to. Ruoxi eventually took him up on his offer and his method of rescue was to marry her as his secondary consort in name. He was the only person who was with Ruoxi during her final moments.
