Graduating from the Tokyo Art University but living in poverty without a suitable job, he hears about a painting job at Ongseong Hospital. He ends up working as an illustrator creating a Japanese version of the dismantling orders. However, in exchange, he experiences the tragedy of witnessing the horrifying slaughter scenes of Marutas. He also witnesses creatures and draws detailed pictures, which are then delivered to Maeda Yukiko as research materials.
