Up Next...November
POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT: I am starting to add comments in my lists in lieu of reviews/notes so beware of the potential spoilers. I will try to keep them to a minimum because I get it.
November Theme: Police & Historicals
-
1. Police Academy
Korean Drama - 2021, 16 episodes
This was fun to watch with some great main and supporting characters (including our sexy Professor Detective Kwon ❤). Great first choice for November police month.
-
2. 100 Days My Prince
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
First historical for November (a rewatch for me). Just as good the second time through. A solid first addition for the month.
-
3. Queen In Hyun's Man
Korean Drama - 2012, 16 episodes
Second historical(ish) for November. A rewatch for me. I fell in love with this drama for the couple. They never give up on one another, despite everything. And the way he looks at her is ❤❤❤ I still love him the second time through.

4. You're All Surrounded
Korean Drama - 2014, 20 episodes
All for Cha Seung Won. Team Detective Seo for life ❤️
This takes first as my favorite for Police month. I've decided what I love about police shows are the partnerships and team dynamics. This did not disappoint. And while there are a couple of things that could have been done differently (like our FL losing some of her spunk as an adult), it didn't stop me from loving this one.

5. Queen: Love And War
Korean Drama - 2019, 16 episodes
Added this for our dimpled boy. Needed to see how he'd fare as ML.
After a slow start, I finally got into the show enough to finish it. All the old conniving men (and women) with their nefarious plans that inevitably failed was a little bit tedious. And while I did like my good boy King, there was something about the bad boy Prince that did it for me. The time jump at the end also felt poorly plotted, but it is what it is.

6. Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung
Korean Drama - 2019, 40 episodes
-
7. A Beautiful Mind
Korean Drama - 2016, 14 episodes
Impromptu November police watch. Though tagged "police" (FL is an officer) this is definitely more a medical/mental health drama. Completely worth the watch. So good. Jang Hyuk owned this role.
-
8. You Are My City and Fortress
Chinese Drama - 2021, 40 episodes
Had this one on hold for a little while. Decided to finish it up in honor of November Police Month. It was a good drama, my only real complaint is that it is about 10 episodes too long so it gets a little draggy.

9. Mad for Each Other
Korean Drama - 2021, 13 episodes
Impromptu November police watch. Short and cute. Both leads have been damaged by events in their past and both need each other to heal.
