Series with gay characters
This list just features series with gay characters I have watched this far. Nothing special but perhaps you might find an interesting title.
If you have recommendations, feel free to comment :).

1. Prison Playbook
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Be aware that the gay character is minor and since it is about inmates, it is not just roses. In my review I have some spoilers regarding him. I recommend this series if you want to experience a roller coaster.

2. 30Sai made Doteida to Mahotsukai ni Narerurashi
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
The introvert discovering his coworker is in love with him and subsequently trying to navigate the ensuing chaos is just hilarious and heartwarming. I related to him quite often. I really enjoyed watching it!

3. A Tale of Thousand Stars
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Beautiful setting with a nice story. It is a slow burn though, so I would say the personal growth part of the story is as important as the romance which is actually a good thing. I recommend it, because it is not like a lot of GMMTV's shows which got very similar over the years.

4. HIStory3: Trapped
Taiwanese Special - 2019, 20 episodes
I liked the main couple a lot, because their chemistry was quite good. The story seemed sometimes a bit weird and had some plot problems, especially the police work. But the acting of pretty much everyone was well done, so I recommend it.

5. Life is Beautiful
Korean Drama - 2010, 63 episodes
It is an early real depiction of a gay character in a relationship and coming out in a Korean drama. That is why the affection shown is very limited. I am mad though that script got cut and even filmed scenes were deleted to limit the interaction within the couple despite the writer being famous. I mostly watched this couple and the mother because her perfomance was stellar. I got drawn to it hard and suggest this drama for anyone who wants a taste of a Korean family drama.

6. Love with Flaws
Korean Drama - 2019, 32 episodes
I skipped most of the parts without the gay brother or the college student. The one completely out and the other one tentatively stepping out of the closet. And how they help each other over the series is just very beautiful.

7. Views of Love: Grey Rainbow
Thai Drama - 2016, 4 episodes
The acting was sometimes wooden, the story sometimes rushed but all in all it was quite a good watch. The ending ist sad and bittersweet at the same time, so beware. If you are flabbergasted, you could read the comments under this video: https://youtu.be/oj1eqD4VVHc. It gives you a take on the ending. The story holds up quite well and the couple is sweet, so I do not want to discourage you.
