BL/Yaoi/Danmei C-Dramas: Censored Adaptation of Same Sex

I have to admit that I have a particular fondness for Yaoi (Same-Sex) dramas. It can be frustrating when romantic scenes are cut out due to censorship, but I still get excited when directors cleverly incorporate such scenes into their work. It's always a pleasure to discover a few gems that stand out and leave a lasting impression on the audience.

I believe most people know what they're getting into when the synopsis mentions "bromance", but some Chinese dramas are milder than others. This list focuses on Chinese dramas with few K-Dramas exceptions.

In September 2021, the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA), which controls broadcast media and also has power to regulate online audio and video, held a conference in Beijing to condemn BL adaptations https://thechinaproject.com/2023/10/05/how-censorship-changed-the-landscape-of-chinas-queer-audio-dramas/.

Therefore, it is very likely that BL/Danmei novels won't be adapted or aired and this saddens and infuriates me a lot. Many dramas on my list will probably never air. However, as a fan of BL novels, I wanted to keep track of them all in one place. I only enjoy Chinese BL stories that are set in historical, fantasy, wuxia, or xianxia settings. So my list may be missing many modern dramas.
