My 2023 Drama Challenge

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. Why did you betray heeeeeer. We have just a couple episode in the (bad) present before going in the past and explaining how everything happened. 

This makes the story captivating but also really frustrating because I love the friendship that I see in the past, and I always wonder WHY did it end so badly. 

28.02 COMPLETED. Idk why I didn't watch it before. Everybody said good thing about it but I still couldn't watch it. Uniil I did, and oh boy, what a watch ! Amazing fight scenes and atmosphere! 

28.02 COMPLETED. Nice pilot. It was really enjoyable and interesting. It didn't felt as scripted as usual for Chinese show. The participants bad and good traits are all shown as real as it can be, even though they're celebrities.

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. Same as the pilot episode. 

28.02 COMPLETED. Again something I had trouble beginning. What a mistake ! High quality casting for a mature story (mature, not sexual). Love it !
Kimura Tatsunari is a revelation, he's amazing. 

28.02 COMPLETED.  Finally watched it! It was really good. The first one had too many plots at the same time, the second one had no plot... Still, the characters are still endearing, and the fight scenes are amazing. 

I thought Fujio would appear less in this one, to make space for others, because he was SO MUCH in The Worst and 6 FROM, but he still gets a lot of screen time. Maybe a little too much...

28.02 COMPLETED. Everybody is talking about it. Tbh it deserves it. It's a good show. 9 is maybe a little high, but 8.5 felt too little. 

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. Got on the train late for this one. Cute show. Some people seems to make a religion out of it, maybe not that much for me. It's cute and high quality.

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. Weird first episode. But then it was better. All the cast is really good, and they're really selling the characters. I love that the "handicap" of the protagonist is not the main point of the story, and the drama doesn't resolves around it. Idk if I make sense. 

25/03 COMPLETED

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. I had high expectations for this one. But it's so average. Nothing is especially intersting. The characters, the plots, the problems... Everything is so average. 

Still watching for Fumiya and YamaYuki but... *sigh*

19/08 COMPLETED. Meh till the end. A waste of Fumiya.

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. Watching it for Hokuto, but it's not bad. It's a lot better than what I expected. 

20/08 Cute

28.02 COMPLETED. I'm kind of disappointed. Not by the story or acting, but by the pacing and editing. Still not a bad movie. I'm still happy I didn't use my money on the very expensive ticket for this one. 

28.02 COMPLETED. Good movie. Touching and well-acted. The last part is a little too melodramatic but still very touching. Cried so much my roommate was worried.

28.02 REWATCH. Thank you Netflix. I still love this show to death. 

28.02 COMPLETED. First 2023 k-drama complete ! Super fun comedy. The humor really got me. 

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. I like it better than season 1 at the moment. Maybe because there was no horribly frustrating translation. Or maybe because it's really about how they need to make it work between them, this time, and not about misunderstanding and missed timing. 

01.03 COMPLETE The last episode was absolutely amazing. Can't wait for the movie.

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. Trying the first season again, bc it got a second one. Still not amazing, but I do love the actors of the main couple. Same for the second one. Something about the third couple still bugs me though. 

28.02 CURRENTKY WATCHING. Mmmmmmmmmh. There's something weird about this show. Not in a goofy way, but in a "I like it, but something is bothering me" way. But it got my attention. 

28/02 REWATCH. Finally, I could properly watch the drama. Maybe I was too young or not in the right mind the first time. But thanks to Netflix, I could finally enjoy it 200%. 

So funny. The characters are super colorful and it's a very Japanese comedy, but that works so well for me.

28.02 COMPLETED. First 2023 j-drama complete! It felt half like a drama, held like a documentary. Absolutely gorgeous visuals, and really pretty storytelling.

28.02 COMPLETED. A very Japanese-like movie and I love those. Not a lot of plot, but pure human interaction after human interaction.

All the actors and their characters are wonderful, and it is a feel-good movie without any melodrama. It is mature, and the subjects are dark, but the movie itself is very gentle

28.02 CURRENTLY WATCHING. 07/04 COMPLETED Pleasantly surprised.
Honda Kyoya is gorgeous. 

04/03 CURRENTLY WATCHING. Cute show.
Suzuki Nobuyuki is a little too type cast xD Let the boy out of Yankee characters. He does it well though.

Though it's not Youn's Kitchen or Kang Kitchen, the spirit is here and it's perfect! 

28/02 CURRETLY WATCHING Really cute and funny. The main characters are a treat and their actors are amazing.

09/03 COMPLETED The murder plot should have been cut and the drama 12 episodes. Or 16 episodes and a little more time on the secondary characters to tie up proprely their stories. 

Still, it was a really fun drama.

COMPLETED 11/03  Good second season, quality drama. Tbh, I think it's more of a powerfully satisfying drama than a very good one. The good moments are super entertaining, but there are many moments that I fast-forward. But the good moments are so good that I forget the bad.

12/03 REWATCH Thank you Netflix, I still love this drama so much, even after all those years

25/03 COMPLETED. Not bad but not amazing.  The DID character was interesting and his dynamic with the ex-cop was good, but the scenario wasn't that interesting.

25/03 CURRENTLY WATCHING. The first 2seasons were amazing, hope it won't disappoint.

COMPLETED And it didn't! It was super fun!

30/03/2023 COMPLETED The first episodes were a little cringe, but when the whole "sadako" part was done it was better ! 

A really nice show.

31/03 CURRENTLY WATCHING. I should not be watching survival shows while it's airing. It always breaks my heart. Go Zhang Hao! Go Ricky! Go Kim JiWoong! Go Jay!

Queendom was the same, but at least G-Idle did amazing performances and was the best. Here I don't think Stray Kids were the best performers. They were third, and Ateez & TheBoyz fight for 1st place.
