dramas i watched in 2024

watched: (12/30/23 — 1/21/24)

loved all the characters there wasn't any major character i didn't like. well paced. loved all the couples. was very sad at the end but i love it very much. some times it reminded me of word of honor, especially the leads are very shl wenzhou coded. 

watched: (1/25 — 1/27)

a cute childhood friends to lovers story. i love the cinematography the most! honestly not much stood out to me in this but i enjoyed it. 

watched: (1/28 — 2/8)

very true adaption to the original in a good way. there were some aspects i didn't like as much, and others that were better. they fleshed out the story a little better and left unfinished holes more answered in this adaptation. it was kind of interesting some of my favorite characters and favorite couples changed in this adaption too. 

watched: (2/8 — 2/13)

a silly little drama that i love a lot. wish the drama was longer but mainly bc I love the characters and the dynamics. also the couple's progression could have been better but they were very cute so I didn't mind too much. 

watched: (2/14 —2/16)

loved the concept and the sound design so much. the fact it was a video game take on a second chance at life was very unique and interesting. well paced and the couple was cute!

watched: (2/23 — 3/10)

a good character drama, loved the main leads a lot. although there is quite a few unbearable characters. there were too many side couples it took away from the main couple. they also pushed way too hard with the love triangle that was unrequited. The middle was the best part pacing wise but both the beginning and the ending were draggy and rushed. 

watched: (3/13 — 3/16)

love the cinematography! there's a lot of interesting characters and world building. but also it felt a little too short and rushed at the end. I wished there was more character development. I didn't really feel the FL falling in love with the ML.

in love with the plot, the characters, the romance! everything was so good!! the cinematography was amazing too. it's probably one of my top favorite dramas now.

I really liked the cinematography and the pacing. everyone raves about this drama and i thought it was okay. i did love the use of blue and complementary colors.

i love the cinematography and the symbolism. it was interesting seeing a different priest adaption from word of honor. 

watched: (5/7 — 5/28)

a perfect time travel drama. it has amazing romance and amazing characters. it is always a delight to watch. this drama was very funny (besides some characters were a little too cringey). i do kind of wish the main conflict wasn't murder hanging over their heads. 

watched: (5/26 — 6/27)

it was entertaining in the beginning and dragged too much. so many characters lost their common sense and critical thinking. all the antagonists/villians were 2 dimensional and boring. they also focused too much on the side couples than the main couple or the secondary couple. a positive is the drama is very pretty with the xianxia cgi.

watched: (7/8 — 7/20)

a very cute drama. very cute romance and everyone is very likeable. the FL does overreact sometimes though. it had some tropes that were very irritating but it didn't take it away from the enjoyment overall. 

watched: (7/11 — 8/15)

it has a lot of the usual wuxia drama tropes; which is one of it's strengths. i liked the leads mainly, their chemistry was better than the plot. the first half was better than the second half.

watched: (8/30 — 9/8)

i love park bo young so much in this drama. it's filled with so many complex and interesting characters and i love all the dynamics. the mental illness stories of the eps felt a little too rushed or too on the nose sometimes. the nurses' friendship was my favorite part. 

watched: (9/26 — 10/1) 

it's an interesting time travel/multi universe drama. i unfortunately mainly cared about the leads, besides den. it got less interesting after ep 5 for me when it went to the reality. but for an intense sultry drama it could be very cute. 

watching: (10/26 — 11/20)

one of my best dramas of 2024! i love the cinematography, the acting, the characters. it balanced the silly and sad very well.
