1. 2gether
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
The first Thai BL drama I ever watched! Super sappy and cute. Loved it. Although the last few eps could have been better, "Still 2gether" does compensate for it.

2. Still 2gether
Thai Special - 2020, 5 episodes
Seriously, much better done than the first part. We get to see a lot more interactions among characteres. It's light-hearted, sweet and the acting feels natural. Watched it a month or two after the first part, this was the turning point and I really got into Thai BLs. The amount of representation just drew me in!

3. Love by Chance
Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes
More on the corny side but also has some very questionable storylines. Although thankfully, the main couples of Ae and Pete and later, Tin and Can are healthy enough. There's a lot of fetishizing of MLM relationships from other side characters and some non-consensual advances made later in the series that just made me feel uncomfortable. But the two main couples make it all worth the watch. Probably wouldn't watch it again, but would recommend if you want something that links alongside TharnType, or something in a similar fashion.

4. Theory of Love
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
Most well-written Thai BL drama so far! No fetishizing, not too many awkward scenes that don't feel right, no extra corny dialogue! It feels natural, more realistic. Although the first half feels like it drags on for too long, the character development of the 4 mains really makes you eager to watch more. The soundtrack, filming, and acting are all really great! Would definitely recommend it.

5. Sotus
Thai Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
Literally, I could rewatch this several times and never get bored. Not a single character disappointed me apart from one minor storyline. No fetishizing, just excellent moments that make my heart flutter and keep me engaged with the storyline. Some moments do feel a bit dragged on but such are flaws in drama. However, I would highly recommend it to those that are yet to watch it! It's the OG on multiple levels, and it deserves that status.

6. 30Sai made Doteida to Mahotsukai ni Narerurashi
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Another brilliantly made BL. No fetishization, and such a sweet storyline. The characters feel real, and the cinematography is so warm and beautiful. Kurodachi are the healthiest BL couple I have seen. Even with the "urban legend" comedy premise, this show manages to balance reality and magic really well and shows that there is magic in reality as well, and that magic is the people around you!

7. The Untamed
Chinese Drama - 2019, 50 episodes
this show means so much to me, i am emotionally attached to this show. i could write a whole essay about this show and psychoanalyze each character. but proceed with caution, it's quite emotional.

8. A Tale of Thousand Stars
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
Brilliance. I am absolutely in awe of how well this drama was done. It had an actual plot to go along with the romance and taught a lot of lessons along the way. The actors were absolutely top-notch and so were the script and direction. The very first drama I kept up with for 10 solid weeks. Not a moment of regret.

9. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
My very first kdrama <3 Very cute and comforting. A few stereotypes and cliches are there that could have been avoided but otherwise a wonderfully done storyline that focuses on mental health, family, reconciliation, forgiveness, determination, and yes, love. Might watch it again because of how much comfort it gave me. Felt kind of sad to say goodbye to all the well-written, realistic and sweet characters so soon. So hard not to love them all! Overall, a great watch!

10. Fight For My Way
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
Funny, heartwarming and realistic. the story flows quite well - a few cliches here and there but most of it was pretty great. For the side characters I feel the stories could have been explained a bit better but otherwise pretty great drama, kept me hooked and happy :)

11. Move to Heaven
Korean Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
whoever you are - watch this - you won't regret it. i guarantee. i love this show and i hold it close to my heart. so well written and beautifully filmed. amazing actors. touching stories. i really cannot form full sentences to describe how amazing this show is. can't wait for S2.
-
12. I Wish The Earth Would Be Destroyed Tomorrow
Korean Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
it was fun to watch. the characters are pretty much what i stuck around for - could it have been done better? yes. I appreciate the diversity and actually good storylines but a few of the plotholes could've been avoided. But it was fun to watch nonetheless. Good for some feel good fun stuff without too much emotional involvement.

13. Tian Ya Ke
Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes
started off brilliantly, was incredibly invested and then near the end everything felt super rushed and abrupt. They started speeding up the storyline at a very uneven pace, with certain story contexts from past books or other sources. Had a lot more potential but it was a great watch. I really do love WKX, ZZS, Cheng Ling, Gu Xiang and Cao Wei Ning , Qian Qiao, her Madam, all of them dearly - amazing acting and good soundtrack.
-
14. Imawa no Kuni no Arisu Season 1
Japanese Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
superb story, great acting, amazing vfx. I really loved watching this show, kept me hooked the whole time. heard from a friend that this was better than the original anime and I know that's high praise so I watched. don't regret it at all. super interested to see what's next! also everyone's like, super hot - so that's a bonus
-
15. Hospital Playlist
Korean Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
emotionally investing with great storylines and characters. I really appreciated the acting from everyone - right from the main cast to the cameos and extras. very well written! but not for those who can't watch slow, long-duration or investing dramas - but luck for me I like extensively written dramas that go at a good pace.
99s FIGHTING! <3

16. Squid Games
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
Production and Acting? amazing and terrific all round. and the fact that the story focuses on realistic characters is even more superb. The concept of brutalizing (?) children's games is so twisted - in a creative way! I appreciate the novelty in that but otherwise there's most things we've seen before. Maybe it was because of the hype or the short span in which I watched it - but it really felt like nothing new. Also not the English creeps - the dialogue felt sort of odd and hitched since the VIP episode onwards. I can understand the hard work put in but something felt off in those last few eps.
-
17. Shinya Shokudo
Japanese Drama - 2009, 10 episodes
so lovely and heartwarming. would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a slice of life drama. food really is the road to the heart - and this show feels like warmth. lovely stories that even though are stand alone - weave into one another and have lovely messages to give. i swear i started tearing up in almost each episode.
-
18. Thuis best
Korean Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
i accidentally ended up loving the characters more than the story itself - you really end up rooting for them, understanding the residents of green home without even noticing it. despite the monsters being the main focus of the story - the story is more human than expected. everything boils down to the fragility, the strength and vastness of being human - so beautiful. also i am currently nursing a crush on song kang, park gyu-young, lee siyoung, lee dohyun AND go minsi
-
19. She Was Pretty
Korean Drama - 2015, 16 episodes
very cute drama! the last episode didn't have to speed through their future so fast but no drama is perfect - and for a drama that emphasizes on being your imperfect self - i don't think i should focus on the downsides too much ! It was a very very very cute drama and I thoroughly enjoyed it - perfectly stress relieving for a stressed out university student! :) <3
-
20. Kieta Hatsukoi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
incredibly cute! the characters were lovely and it was perfectly heartwarming. good for a rewatch. the lighting was a special point to note, stunning throughout!
-
21. Tomorrow
Korean Drama - 2022, 16 episodes
lim ryung-gu my beloved <3 this drama is one of a kind. i hope we get another season, though this open ending was perfect in itself! hooked on every episode, story was wonderfully written and acted, though it got a bit heavy at times. It was everything I expected it to be and more!
-
22. A Business Proposal
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
exactly the cutesy light-hearted drama i needed after "tomorrow". though there were SO many cliches, including the bigger plot itself, they were all done wonderfully with surprisingly minimal second-hand embarrassment. though too idealistic, it had it's source in reality and i enjoyed every bit of it. engaging and funny with an amazing OST! s/o to yeongso and sunghoon gotta be my favorite genre of straight couples.
-
23. Dear My Friends
Korean Drama - 2016, 16 episodes
it really makes you think. that's the first thing i can say. It makes you think about how much more there is to life than just the small picture we see everyday. the intricacy of human relationships, life lessons and coming to terms with the speed of life, (lack of) grace of aging and of course, unfulfilled promises and wishes. you can really see some aspects of your own life reflected in theirs. really wonderful. the OST is lovely and definitely deserves acknowledgement.
