Movies/Specials watched in 2021

Did what they could in four minutes, and did it very beautifully.  also very gay which i appreciate

If your favorite thing is "band of rogues adopts a kid and accidently unionizes space junk collectors against an evil space corporation" then boy howdy is it a good day for you. Despite the dystopian corporate backdrop and heavy class themes, it's a fun space adventure, and I truly loved how diverse the space sweepers were. Some little things stop it from being perfect (a little too long, generic villain monologues, etc) but more than worth your time

half romcom, half action movie. A funny 2 hour romp but ultimately not very memorable

A whacky comic book-esque action flick. There were attempts at plot and character arcs but the movie mostly has too much fun lampshading to go anywhere with it. I enjoyed how female-centric it was, although it loses some points from me for transphobic comments/caricatures and doing the fatter ladies dirty in hair/makeup

A feel good Sunday afternoon sort of movie. Not exactly focused on the friendship between the three leads but it's a great solid friendship and I love that their differences are largely what gets them so far. I also enjoyed the solidarity between the office ladies in general.  Very realistic in the setbacks they face attempting to fight corruption from the inside but it does drag things out quite a lot. While the English dialogue was actually pretty well written overall, I also practically fell out of my seat with the amount of cursing used in one later scene lol

Cute, short, and gay. Not a bad way to waste 14 minutes

Cute little wlw historical fantasy short. Even if I wasn't always quite sure what was happening, I wasn't disappointed.
