1. It's Okay to Not Be Okay
Korean Drama - 2020, 16 episodes
03/18/2024 - 03/26/2024 (nine days)
The cinematography, visuals, and editing were on another level. I absolutely adored the two main leads and their chemistry. Their acting was just on another level. However, the latter half of the plot dwindles in quality and it left me feeling unsatisfied.

2. All of Us Are Dead
Korean Drama - 2022, 12 episodes
03/29/2024 - 03/31/2024 (three days)
Oh how I adore the main leads! All four of them played off of each other really well and their respective romances didn't seem shoed-in and actually was an important part of their character development. I have to applaud the extras for their insanely impressive acting. I was genuinely scared for the characters since the zombies seemed too real.

3. Park's Contract Marriage Story
Korean Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
04/01/2024 - 04/05/2024 (five days)
I never giggled and squealed in any other romcom before as much as I did here! Here's the main problem with most Korean romcoms: they're way too long. After the main couple gets together, watching them together gets a bit too boring. However, 12 episodes is perfect. We got scenes of them together, but not too much to the point where it become monotonous. Plus, LSY & BIH had legitimate chemistry. It's no wonder why the press kept thinking they were together in real life!

4. Bokura no Shokutaku
Japanese Drama - 2023, 10 episodes
04/10/2024 - 04/21/2024 (twelve days)
This drama focuses on the mundane and the little things in life. It's evidenced by the food Yukata makes throughout the show: simple yet fulfilling dishes, which perfectly describes Bokura no Shokutaku. There's no exciting overarching plot. It's simply about two young adults who find comfort and solace with each other. They learn more about each other's familial situations while seeming like a pseudo-family! The incessant flashbacks took me out of the story at times, but I truly recommend this drama anyway.

5. A Tale of Thousand Stars
Thai Drama - 2021, 10 episodes
06/05/2024 - 06/06/2024 (two days)
A Tale of Thousand Stars is a delicate and soothing love story. From the soundtrack to the cinematography, everything was carefully crafted to be one of GMMTV's greatest hits. The chemistry between the two leads was convincing, and I honestly couldn't believe that this was Mix's acting debut. I'll admit; I got a bit bored in the middle, but it managed to bring me back near the end!

6. Last Twilight
Thai Drama - 2023, 12 episodes
06/10/2024 - 06/17/2024 (eight days)
Last Twilight is an emotionally-charged show with beautifully created characters. Everything was there: nuanced and loveable characters, heartfelt romance, wonderful acting from all of the cast, and a story that stays with you. One of GMMTV's best works for sure.

7. Moonlight Chicken
Thai Drama - 2023, 8 episodes
06/19/2024 - 06/19/2024 (one day)
I binged this in one day, not because I particularly liked it, but because I wanted to get it over with.
I love EarthMix. I like seeing them play as a couple. They work best acting more nuanced and non over-the-top characters like in this drama. However, I found their storyline to be a bit... bland? I couldn't relate to their struggles as I'm not at an age where I work full-time, pay bills, and support my family financially, so I felt a strong emotional dissonance to the main character. I was more invested in HeartLiMing's love story, but even then, they couldn't save me from this lack of emotion I felt towards this drama. I feel as though Moonlight Chicken would work better as a longer show, to develop the characters even more.
Everything was there (the cinematography, acting, message, etc.) but my connection wasn't. It's an objectively good drama, just not for me.
