BL Series
My rating system is as crazy as I am, this is just pure chaos.
A BL/Gay/LGBTQ+ series dump, I'll just add everything here and then get lost in it.
These might (and some definitely will) include some mild spoilers mainly in the trigger warnings, I tried to keep them as vague as possible.
Go watch Gaya Sa Pelikula (Like in the movies). Top tier right there, let it break you. Don't want to be broken, then go watch Light On Me, all you need in life to be happy

1. 2 Moons
Thai Drama - 2017, 12 episodes
It was cute, can't remember crying at least. This was definitely on the cute side, not really toxic but also the relationships didn't really have a chance to go anywhere. There def was jealousy but to me at least it was in the good side. Some parts got really boring (especially the competition) and sometimes the acting seemed a bit stiff. All and all I did enjoy this. Many things felt like they left unfinished, like this really needed a second season. And yeah I'm aware that there's 2moons2 that's part remake but also adds bunch of stuff but I just can't get over the casting chance. And I'm aware of Gen Y but it does re-write a lot of things.
Plot in a nutshell: Wayo attends to the university where his longtime secret love Pha is a second year student. Pha is his the campus Moon of his year. Wayo becomes the moon of his department and the two of them start to meet on daily basis. They had met before but Clark Kent effect is strong with this one as Pha doesn't recognize Wayo because he doesn't wear his glasses. Ming is a friend of Wayo, he has a love for kit kats
Main Couple: Wayo (Bas) / Phana (Godt)
Side: Ming/Kit (Kim and Copter)Kim/Copter is my bias so I'll forgive them for everything their characters might do, if they're being inconsistent or whatever I'll let it slide. MarkKit is the way.

2. Addicted Heroin
Chinese Drama - 2016, 15 episodes
It's been a while since I watched this so my memory is a bit hazy on the what was problematic department (oh, so so much was wrong in that department). Now I'm sure if I watched this again my rating would probably go a bit down (since that have happened to pretty much every show). I know that the last episode got banned and so did any hope of s2 so it may seem like it ends a bit abruptly.
Plot in a nutshell: what you doing step-bro? Okay just kidding, but umm basically yeah. Bai Luo Yin lives with his dad and sorta hates his mom, Gu Hai's mom passed away and he holds a grudge towards his dad. The boys meet and I really need to re-watch this bc I don't remember this that well.
Possible trigger: Violence, kidnapping, forced kissing, sooooooo toxic
Can't recommend the novel tho, damn that takes the toxicity on a whole another level.
-
3. En of Love: Love Mechanics
Thai Drama - 2020, 4 episodes
Short series (4 episodes) and it's getting a "sequel" that tells their story full length.
Plot in a nutshell: Mark is in love with Bar but it's totally on-sided. One night Mark gets really drunk and "mistakes" (more like want's the other person to be) a boy to be Bar. Situation gets a bit messy since Vee is dating.
Possible triggers: Cheating ? As in I'm pretty sure there was some but not entirely bc again it's been a while
-
4. HIStory: Obsessed
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
Now the story is called Obsessed so I'm not that upset how it played out. Like in a way you kinda get a hint what you're gonna get. However it is horribly awfully toxic and more upsetting is that nobody cares nor does nobody learn any lessons. Like they all just cool cool with everything, not even thinking it might be bit bad.
It's short (4 ep) which in this case made the pacing kinda off.Plot in a nutshell: Shao Yi Chen is given a second chance in life after he is sent back 9 years. Now he's set on not repeating the same mistakes so he tries to avoid Jiang Jing Teng as to not catch feelings again. Jiang Jing Teng finds a piece of Shao Yi Chen's diary and becomes interested (more like obsessed).
Possible triggers: so much non-con, toxic behavior
-
5. HIStory: Stay Away From Me
Taiwanese Special - 2017, 4 episodes
Again, short (4 episodes). Main problem is how it ends, it really feels like there should've been more but there just isn't. It's an open(ish) ending, just a fair warning. It was pretty cute tho
Plot in a nutshell: Cheng Qing and Feng He are kinda forced to move in together after thair parents get married. Feng He's best fried tries to get the two guys to be together because she just thinks they are cute

9. Love by Chance
Thai Drama - 2018, 14 episodes
So it's the same universe as TharnType so lot of same characters pop up, but not same actors.
Ae is kinda awesome not gonna lie, most of the time anyway. Side story has some TinCan plot that gets totally re-written in season 2, so not really worth paying that much attention. Also we have the problematic Techno/Kengkla, which is supposed to be cute but is more like stalker/rapey situation (as you would expect from mame). There's the typical best friend who's mostly there for comical purposes but they do manage to give him a few decent scenes too.
So what you can expect from this: Kinda the typical thai bl, there's cute scenes, jealousy all that school drama you normally get with these. There's nothing really special about this except Perth.
That being said I am weak for the way Tin looks at Can.Plot in a nutshell:
Pete is shy and rich who's used to people using him for his money. Ae is soft boi who wants to protect Pete. They meet as Ae hits Pete with his bike. I bet they were really damn cute.
Tin has been let down by people close to him making it hard for him to trust people, acting tough and cold is the only way he knows how to live, until he meets Can.
Kengkla has been obsessing his friends brother for ages, he does everything to get to be close to him, to get to know him except actually talking with him.
Tar is fighting with past trauma that has left him to be afraid of falling in love, but is there something more than brotherly feelings between him and Tum?Main Couple: Ae/Pete
Side: Tin/Can (enemies to lovers), Techno/Kengkla (obsess, stalk, lie end up together), Tar/Tum (fighting past trauma, not admitting feelings)Possible triggers: Violence, assault (ep 3), having sex with a person who is way too drunk and pretending they were the one who "took advantage" (minor side couple), homophobia (honestly getting tired of having to tag this, like why is it in every series), toxic behavior, forced kissing
-
10. My Gear And Your Gown
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Bi representation which is nice , other than that not really anything special and I was only in it for Pure/Folk. Fiat really nailed this one and I hope to see him in bigger roles.
Plot in a nutshell: I don't have any idea since I forgot it. Oh wait.. Pai i think transfers to this school and becomes the head of their academic club, Itt is the head of their sports club. Things happen and they are forced to share a club room. Obviously there's a lot of hate between the boys. The teacher makes Pai tutor Itt since his grades are really bad. Itt is also struggling since his mom is hospitalized with maybe cancer? Itt's parents are both doctors in the hospital and have rarely time for their son.
Possible triggers: Un-treatable cancer
-
11. Pornographer
Japanese Drama - 2018, 6 episodes
Based on a manga with same name. More yaoi than bl and in some parts it does feel like a soft porn.
That being said I did like this, there's certain melancholy, it's definitely for more older audience. You won't get much fluff in this one. It's painful from time to time but not that much that it would hurt. There's pretty good chemistry between the actors. I'm kinda struggling how to rate is as there are elements which I didn't really like or appreciate but there were also things I really did like. There were parts when it was really sweet and I do like the acting on this one. So even if the plot isn't really that much and has some issues it still deserves higher rating from me in my opinion.
Plot in a nutshell: Kuzumi, a poor university student, crashes Kijima with his bike breaking his arm. Not being able to afford to pay compensation Kijima asks Kuzumi to be his writer since he can't use his arm. Kuzumi agrees but gets a bit shocked learning that Kijima writes porn.
Possible triggers: Non con elemets, certain amounts of toxic behavior
-
12. Red Balloon
Taiwanese Drama - 2017, 8 episodes
-
13. TharnType
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
Good actors, horrible story. It really romanticize toxic relationships. So if that's your cup of tea then this is for you, if you think this is relationship goal I beg you to seek therapy.
Now I had given this a pretty high rating when I first watched this, but after going back to this I had to lower it. It is hard for me to give this such a low rating, because of the actors. They really deserve a better series. Mewgulf has a lot of chemistry and they do pretty good job in this series. So does most side characters too. The plot is easy to follow and honestly it could be a cute plot too (if we took out the homophobia, non-con and toxic behavior). Only thing that kinda makes a fast transition is their relationship. Now given all that, this would have been amazing to me if it were way less toxic. It's the typical, it's okay to hit your partner bc you're both men thing. Also the non-con elements in some scenes. And Lhong, oh boy one thing I hate in bl's is when the bad guy doesn't get any punishment and he should be in jail.
Plot in a nutshell: Type and Tharn share a room in the collage dorm. Type hates gays (one thing I also hate in this series is that you should really point out the difference between pedophile and a gay person) and finds out Tharn is gay. Type wants Tharn to move out, Tharn doesn't wanna give into Type. Childish games starts.
Possible triggers: mentions of rape, semi non consensual scenes to actual non-con scenes, violence, homophobia, every time I start to list these triggers I wanna go and lower my rating, the fact that mame calls herself a thai ELF, panic attacks, degrading words (towards gay people) , no means yes kinda thing is strong with this one
-
14. TharnType Special
Thai Special - 2020, 1 episode
-
15. TharnType 2
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Ooooohhhh boy. What can I say. Now it did start off pretty cutesy, but it quickly went south. There's only one couple who isn't toxic and it's the one we get to see for like 2 minutes (talking about Doc Champ). Every other is just awful. The most annoying part is the fact that it doesn't seem like 7 years has passed, they act exactly like they did in school, they have to constantly remind us that 7 years has in fact passed because even they know it doesn't feel like it. There's literally no character development for anyone else except Type and even that gets taken away in ep 10 (way to ruin a whole character). They continue to think that homophobic behavior is funny (after 7 years, yes 7 years, type's dad is still a homophobic asshole), they think torture is romantic and they think it's cute when people are in really toxic relationships.
Most problematic: TharnType. Yes, their relationship takes a whole new level in this one. Tho they do share a few cute moments, it's mostly just trash. Tharn threatening to put his hand on a hot pan because Type is mad at him, Tharn saying that Type is trying to seduce him by wearing a tank top (because yeah, even at home you can't just wear clothes that are comfortable. And before you go there Type did say no many times in this scene). Yes the lack of communication goes both ways, neither has learned to talk in these 7 years (again 7 years people) nor have they apparently build any trust either. But worst it definitely Tharn who is just a piece of shit of a boyfriend. This will not break you, it will not make you cry, but it will make you mad and it will ruin Type for you. Doc Champ still cute tho.Plot in a nutshell: Toxicity everywhere, kissing, 7 years more like 7 minutes, eggo.
Good things: MewGulf has undeniable chemistry, Gulf's acting has improved a lot, eggo head, coco the turtle, Doc Champ
Possible triggers: Toxicity, emotional abuse, manipulation, assault, kidnapping, homophobia

16. Theory of Love
Thai Drama - 2019, 12 episodes
This was definitely worth to watch even though it was occasionally boring and kind of dragging. Some parts felt like they could've just been cut out and sometimes I just wished they would get on with it already. Like it became frustrating. Still I did enjoy it, mostly because offgun <3 and the whole friend group they had going on, two was really awesome friend to third and I loved it.
Might make you cry, since the main couple is pretty damn amazing and heartbreaking. Khai is a total asshole of a friend tho.Plot in a nutshell: Third has been in love with his friend Khai for 3 years. Khai is straight, player and has a rule not to date anyone from the same faculty. Third's friends find out about this love and they try to help Third get closer to Khai. Which ends up only hurting Third more.
Main couple: OffGun - Third/Khai
-
17. WISH YOU : Your Melody In My Heart
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Same plot as the movie but with less scenes and bit more confusing because of those missing scenes. Still was cute
Plot in a nutshell. Kang In Soo loves music and wants to make it his career. Sang Yi works in a record company. Sang Yi fell in love with In Soo's music. We all see where this is going right?
-
18. Together with Me
Thai Drama - 2017, 13 episodes
MaxTul, so definitely worth the watch. Occasionally a bit boring, but MaxTul makes up with everything that's lagging. Except how this series (and s2) do Farm dirty. Also Knock is kinda asshole who doesn't deserve Korn but it's maxtul so I can't be too mad about it. There was the usual toxic ex trope too.
Plot in a nutshell: Korn and Knock are childhood friends, pretty sure Korn had feelings for Knock. One drunken night they end up having sex, making their friendship kinda awkward.
Possible triggers: implied pressure to have group sex
-
19. Together with Me: The Next Chapter
Thai Drama - 2018, 13 episodes
I mean MaxTul. Yeah I can't give 10 stars just bc it's them, but without them this would've probably gotten like 4 stars from me. This is pretty much a sequel that shouldn't have happened.
Plot in a nutshell: Korn and Knock have been dating 3 years, neither has come out to their parents but Korn struggles with coming out more. This causes some issues within their relationship. They are working in the same workplace, where their boss has a certain issues.
I hated so many things in this season. Firstly where the hell did Korn's dad come from? Once a cheater always a cheater, sorry just hate it, it's not an answer and it's not supposed to be that easy if you really love someone no matter how hurt you are. That's just my opinion tho and you are free to feel differently. But the thing I hate the most, the thing that I can't get over. I can look past the cheating, the toxicity, everything but this. Farm. Farm, Farm, Farm. WHAT THE HELL FARM. Like honestly no. The only thing that actually hurt me in this was Rit. Poor guy didn't deserve that and honestly if they had met in s1 it would've been perfect love. I just can't forgive the fact that Farm ends up with that asshole Bright.
Possible triggers: Homophobia (by the parent), mild violence, the fact that this season exist
-
20. Manner of Death
Thai Drama - 2020, 14 episodes
Yes some more MaxTul and in a good crime show. I loved this because it doesn't focus mainly on the gay aspect, it just has characters who are gay. The plot is pretty solid and it does a good job with making everyone seem sus.
Plot in a nutshell: Bun is a medical examiner, Tan is teacher by day suspicious by night. They meet and despite Bun's suspicion of Tans involvement in the current crimes, Bun just can't resist all that gottagecore happiness.
Possible triggers: violence, sex parties, sex while drugged, rape, drug use, od, death, blood, hanging.

21. 30Sai made Doteida to Mahotsukai ni Narerurashi
Japanese Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Slight angst but overall kind of fluffy. Didn't really care about the side couple, since I found Tsuge's character really annoying. It was cute tho.
Plot in a nutshell: Adachi, a kind, shy, precious human being, turns 30 and because he is still virgin he gets magical powers, he can read peoples minds by touching them. After getting used to it he realize it's actually pretty helpful as it helps him understand people more. When he touches Kurosawa he realize that they have feelings for him.
-
22. Long Time No See
Korean Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
-
23. Craving You
Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Def won't make you cry, it's real sweet and all that, but it lacks on plot and doesn't give you the backstory that they make you want. It had so much potential but with only 10 (10 minutes) episodes it just didn't have enough time to deliver all that it promised.
Plot in a nutshell: A pastry chef Kent who seemed to have like fans? at first but they totally disappeared, meets a singer, Kane, who definitely has fans. As they are supposed to do some advertise thing. Kane starts to work in the shop, Kent teaching him how to bake. There's a past traumas that they both harbor, in comes Kane's ex who is getting married and wants a cake from Kent.

24. I Am Your King
Thai Drama - 2017, 5 episodes
-
25. Ingredients
Thai Special - 2020, 21 episodes
Cute, sweet, way too short. Really nice slice of life kinda series, without any extra drama. Kinda feels like a cooking show in some parts, but in the best way possible. Slowburn. Covid is strongly present with all the hand sanitizing, masks and whatnot.
Plot in a nutshell: Tops loves to make food, Marwin loves to make music. They are roommates and it mostly just focuses on their lives inside the home. Marwin makes a youtube channel for Tops where he gets to show off his cooking/baking skills.
-
26. Because of You
Taiwanese Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Incredible sweet and fluffy. Laughed my ass off in some parts. Only downside is, once again, it's too short, so the character development is a bit too fast and, in some parts, lacking. If you don't have a lot of time and want to watch something that makes you feel good, this is it.
Plot in a nutshell: Three bothers of a wealthy family all harbor certain amount of dislike towards their father since they all have different mothers who their father hasn't really cared that much, not to mention he probably hasn't shown much love to the sons either. The brothers aren't really close to each other either, since they are bad at expressing their actions. Enter Lin Xun, poor man who's mother made him call the father of these brothers after she died, delivering a message. Now the Father wants to find Lin Xun and promises the company to the son who finds him. Jun Cheng already had met Lin Xun so he goes to kidnap him. This plot in a nutshell is getting longer than the actual series.
TLDR: Three rich brothers are all gay and learns to love each other as well -
27. Why R U?
Thai Drama - 2020, 13 episodes
Lower rating mainly bc I personally don't really like Saint (his acting to be more precise), but also bc it just had a bit too much going on for me. It does the thing that quite a few bl's tend to do, which is packing way too many characters into one series. Characters we don't really have any time to get interested in which then makes some parts really dull. Zee however was perfect and mainly for him I watched this till the end. But I do admit FightTor was the main good thing in this series, well done on their part. So that is a good reason to watch this. And I do understand that Covid is a big reason for the many lacking things in this, but it's still a shame
Plot in a nutshell: Honestly I have no idea. The whole Zon/Saifah thing with the thought that he now lives in a bl story written by his sister (also why do the sisters always write smut about their brothers). FightTor story line is basically enemies to lovers.
Main couple: Tor (Tutor) and Fight (Fighter)
Side dishes: Zon/SaifahPossible triggers: Homophobia (by the parent)
-
28. Mr.Heart
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
As most korean bl series, this was also really short but so sweet. But they managed to get some depth into the story and into the characters. However, being short they seemed to drop some side plots or ideas that at first seemed to have something to go on.
Happy ending.Plot in a nutshell. Jin Won runs, he wants to be a marathon runner but his pace is off, Sang Ha runs too, but only short distances. School coach makes Sang Ha to be Jin Won's pacemaker. They train for the marathon.
Possible triggers: Violence
-
29. Color Rush
Korean Drama - 2020, 8 episodes
Now, it iiiiiis a bit toxic, however it's up to debate whether it is necessary as a part of this concept or not and whether it glorifies toxic relationships.
I did enjoy this quite a lot. It's simple, with a nice new concept, it's sweet and it's sad. The supportive characters are way too interesting to be fitted into such short series. They deserved more. Being such short one, it also tried bit too hard to squeeze so much plot in it, leaving it little messy in the end. Lots of lose ends and just lots of unused plot potential here. With this interesting plot this really needed a full length series.
Plot in a nutshell. There's people, monos, who see the world only in shades of grey (well that's there now), they're seen as dangerous people since they're often killed, kidnapped or harmed these people they call probes. The only way for mono to see colors is to see their probe's face. Yeon Woo meets his probe Yoo Han and it goes from there. Also there's this mystery of Yeon's missing mother.
Ending left a lot of things open. So hoping for a s2.
Possible triggers: Suicide attempt
Movie version is also available and I recommend watching that since it flows better.
-
30. Ton Hon Chon Tee
Thai Drama - 2020, 10 episodes
Na was the only good thing in this series. Only character that actually had growth. Mostly boring series with good amount of cringe factor, I did laugh but not because it was funny. Has the typical crazy ex gf trope and the almost got raped but it's all good nothing needs to be done about it trope.
The more I watched the harder it became, the characters just awful and the plot just bad.
TonChon did have some cute moments but not enough to make up the trainwreck their relationship, or this series, was.Plot in a nutshell. Not realizing that you could get a healthy loving relationship and instead pursuing someone toxic just because you loved them when you were a kid.
Possible triggers: attempt of rape
-
31. Gen Y
Thai Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
Not enough MarkKit. But I hear they are gonna be the main couple in the next season so here's to hoping. The first half or so does focus mainly on MarkKit but then the focus shifts to other couples, which is fair but all I need and want is MarkKit. And I could have done with a ffew good side couples as well but not this destiny love triangle shit.
Now this started really strong, like I was all in and thought this was gonna be so good but then introduced way too many characters and possible couples. Like it got pretty confusing and difficult to keep up with all that. And then the whole magic and destiny shit came along.Mark is an amazing friend. Just needed to be said. I know he's my bias but you can't deny the fact that he is seriously the most supportive and caring friend you could have,
Plot in a nutshell: Now what it's suppose to be: Mark finds Kit interesting and wants to make him his boyfriend. However Kit is a bit hard to approach and Mark ends up on his bad side, that being said it doesn't slow Mark down and slowly (not so slowly) Kit warms up to him. Mark wants to make a big proposal for Kit (to be his bf and saying he likes him and all that sweet stuff) but stupid ass Pha is stupid and it goes wrong.
Now what it is: Wayu being heartbroken, Pha coming in and out as he pleases just to mess with people. Thanu being two timing dude because destiny and shit. There's like 20 other dudes that I have no idea what's going on with them but half of them tryna be with Wayu too.Good things: Mark/Kit (Kim/Copter) they are just so adorable and wonderful, yeah that's it
Bad things: Everything elsePossible triggers: very mild non con make out scene. I say mild because it wasn't as bad as these usually have (yup that's how we're basing things now)
-
32. My Day
Filipino Drama - 2020, 12 episodes
It definitely got better towards the end, like after the cake competition. Before that I did skip a lot. I liked the chemistry on the main couple, it was really good. That and the supportive parents were really only good thing in this.
Plot in a nutshell. Sky goes working as a intern in this big ass company and meets Ace, his boss. It's a baking company? They became friends, kinda tho I think they just started to like like each other already at that point.
Good things: Sky/Ace, their chemistry, Sky's parents
Bad things: Ace seem to cry all the time, the typical psycho ex who obviously gets forgiven at the end even tho she should go to jail. Bit confusing from time to time. The freaking dog nanny, she might be funny to some but I personally didn't like her. No side couples even tho it had 12 episodes. There were a lot of things that definitely were just fillers and could have been used to either show more Sky/Ace or some side couple.Possible triggers: Homophobia (by the parent)
-
33. We Best Love: Forever the First
Taiwanese Drama - 2021, 6 episodes
Okay Jesus lord how can anyone be that attractive, yes I'm biased because of Yu. Now that we got that out of the way, let's dive in to the shallow end. This was so cute, like damn they were adorable, my heart nearly exploded. I loved, loved, loved how they okay SPOILER ALERT right here how they were so casual about being together, like just walking hand in hand and stuff like that without having any unnecessary coming out to their friends drama or anything like that.
This was just the perfectly cute with good enough plot and good paste, also good acting, a little bit of angst due to a broken heart but they do not dwell on it for too long. They keep it real and I love it. The flow has sorta natural feel to it which is nice. (Yes I love pretty much everything about this, might just go give it more than 9 stars). They do leave some things open but there's season 2 so it's not surprising.
Plot in a nutshell: Gao Shi De wants to beat Zhou Shu Yi on everything, not because he wants to win, but because that's the way Shu Yi notices him. They meet again in college where Gao Shi De manages to blackmail Zhou Shu Yi to became his page-boy, Zhou Shu Yi definitely doesn't hate it as much as he pretends to. He's just and angry ball of fluff.
Only bad thing about this is that it's too short. I need more. Like so many seasons more. It's just so cute.
-
34. We Best Love: Spin-off
Taiwanese Special - 2021, 1 episode
I don't know how to feel about this. It makes me kinda scared for s2.
Anyhow it's just a ten minute "episode" that isn't actually anything but a teaser. It shows what kinda happened between s1 and s2 but not fully, there's still a 3 year gap, and we don't get to see whether they met in between or not. So i'll probably come back to this after s2. But for now how it made things seem is the typical misunderstanding. You see something shocking and just decide to walk away and cut all contact. Yeah. That makes me scared. Because s1 was my life, it was so good and well done. So I plead, do not do this, not to this series. Do not fall to those typical tropes, please. If it does I'll give this painfully low rating. Even my love for YU isn't gonna save this.
Plot in a nutshell: Misunderstanding
Possible triggers: none

35. To My Star
Korean Drama - 2021, 9 episodes
Okay ep 7 and 8 hurt me a little but it gets better. I really wished there was at least one more episode because I really need more of that fluffluff, like gosh give me that happiness. But there's a rumor of a movie so maybe there's couple more scenes of that.
Anyways, this was good. It did left a few things open/unexplained and took a few more twist at the end than necessary in my opinion, but it was pretty cute overall. Would have loved to see more Kim Jin Kwon but short series are short series.Plot in a nutshell: Kang Seo Joon is an actor who has finds himself in a bit of trouble after alleged bar fighting. His manager makes him move in with Han Ji Woo, a damn good chef. Kang Seo Joon finds himself falling for the chef pretty fast.
Warnings: Ep 7 has a lot of flashing lights from about 12:55 - 13:20 and after that it goes on a little bit longer with slower flashing. (There's a party so those kind of flashing lights you would see in a rave or in a club)
-
36. Water Boyy
Thai Drama - 2017, 14 episodes
This will hurt you, but only because it's so horrible, bad, awful and just plain wrong. This is just a show of bunch of bullies getting what they want. And making it seem romantic. No one should watch this. It's just everything bad but into one series. The only good thing was the blind guy. Other than that each character is just plain horrible. And they all get a happy ending. They try to make it be more cute in the last episodes but it's shut a shit show that there isn't anything that could redeem it. Honestly the fact that I'm supposed to care about some swimming competition after all this shit is just hilarious.
Plot in a nutshell: Swimming club filled with bullies, go on bullying people until they fall in love. And they're trying to save the club or something. The main guy character is struggling with everything, gets a roommate and struggles some more. Totally being a horrible human being but that's cool. The main girl character likes a girl who likes a boy. So she threats the guy by throwing him in a pool (he's has some issues with swimming and is scared to death to be in water). The side couple is just as wholesome. It's all so lovely. There's some het couples too but I just didn't even care at that point anymore
Possible triggers: Assault, sexual assault, attempted rape (ep 4), bullying, threatening to kill people which could also be counted as an assault. HUGE age gap couple. Homophobic behavior (side side characters, the bullies that are bullying the swim club bullies)

Korean Drama - 2021, 8 episodes
Some could say it has troublesome dynamic, I'll just leave it at that.
Plot in a nutshell: Song Shi On is a uni student majoring in dancing, Jin Hong Seok is a debt collector. Shi On has a debt to pay for the company that Jin Hong Seok works in. Eggs.
To me it was cute, it has some hurt from the past and it has some damn hurt near the end. But they are just cute most of the time.
And as always, the movie version is better
