Gay movies/dramas
A list of all the gay/lgbtq+ movies/dramas I've watched so far.
Any censored romances will be specified as such, as will any series where I've written too much, and therefore had to post a review instead.
In regards to recommendation specifics:
Yes: Either means that I really enjoyed it or that I believe most other people would like it.
Yes and no: Either means that I didn't particularly enjoy it or that there were some messages/choices I didn't like.
No: Either means that it was a sad/tragic ending, not really a BL, or that it was plain bad.
I also feel the need to add that, obviously, my opinions can differ from others, and my reviews are solely based on MY feelings. Maybe you would thoroughly enjoy a series/movie that I, for lack of a better word, disliked. My reviews can also be quite harsh sometimes. I am just a person who feels very deeply about, well, most things. I don't (usually) mean to offend anyone, and I respect that we all have our own feelings about stuff. The last thing I want is for someone to write something negative/hateful on this list or on anything that has to do with me. I do NOT want it in my life, so if you do disagree with my way of thinking/doing things, please just pretend I don't exist. Thanks!
(Can you tell I'm terrified of judgment and criticism?)

Hmmm. Honestly, it's a very mediocre series. The plot was simple, sometimes silly. I just really like them together. They have chemistry and seem completely comfortable with each other. I also thought the roles suited them much more than their previous ones and allowed them to show off their acting skills better. What this needed was more scenes of them actually together, being cute. I can't really think of a reason not to recommend it. Maybe only that Ho Joon was overly snobby at the beginning, and then, of course, the mandatory break-up.
There were kisses.
Happy ending.

602. Roundabout
Hong Kong Movie - 2015
(Eng subs) (Free)

I can't even be bothered. Homophobia is truly one of the most pointless things. I wasn't sure whether he was actually dating Natalie or not. If he was, that was obviously wrong of him. Mandy was the character we needed. The parents weren't horrible either. Yat Ming's mom was a little shitty but came to her senses. The ending was vague, but I can only assume they stayed together.
There were kisses.
Open ending.

Censored romance.
Despite the ban, I feel like you could really tell they cared a lot about each other. They were quite creative regarding how to get them to be intimate whilst not making it too gay. Some might have felt as if it wasn't clear enough, but I had no doubts. I would say, if you liked the "bromance" in The Untamed, you would like this too. I could have done without Xin Tang and Gong Sun's parts. She was just way too pushy, and I don't get why Gong sun eventually fell for her. I wish they would have kept her as a man, but I get why they had to change it. Bai Chi was adorable. I hope to see more of him and Zhao Zhen together in the next season. Also, for some reason, I found it hard to dislike Zhao Jue. He was cute in a way.
No kiss.
Happy/open ending.

Well, there were no subs. I couldn't really say what was going on half the time because of that. It seemed both sweet and bitter. The acting was fine. The chemistry was present. The kiss was good. I don't really know how it ended, though.

Meh. I liked the characters. The acting was fine. I didn't feel any chemistry, though. It's also just weird for a teacher to reciprocate a student's feelings. I couldn't quite get past that fact. Takuya and Shinji were an unnecessary couple. There was hardly enough time for one couple. It didn't help that they wasted time on Sahara and Nekoto. We all knew Nekoto would be rejected. It was just a waste of time. Overall, it wasn't bad, but pretty forgettable, in my opinion.

606. SaifahZon Story
Thai Special - 2020, 3 episodes
(1-3) (Eng subs) (Free)
https://www.viki.com/tv/38173c
I mostly watched Why R U? because of SaifahZon, so I was excited about this. Unfortunately, this wasn't that good. The story was a mess. I was also confused about the timeline. Some parts were of them before they got together, and then some parts are of them after Why R U? ended, I guess? I don't see how it fits into the original story. They should have just given them an entire series, but with a different story. Their kisses still felt a bit awkward. They dragged out the kiss scenes so much that I almost fell asleep. I thought that the main plot was the whole Saifah forgetting Zon thing, but that was over so quickly, sooo...
There were kisses.
Happy ending.

Omg. Why? There were so many flashbacks from the first movie. They kept showing scenes that I had tried to forget. This made the first movie a waste of time, honestly. It was just an hour of weird and explicit sex scenes. All I can say is that Aoyama was one fucked up man, and the things he put Haruto through did not come from a place of love.

This just left me absolutely scarred. It almost made me cry just from sheer disgust and petrification. The constant betrayal and dismissiveness of other's feelings left me flabbergasted. This movie trilogy made me feel sick to my stomach but also somewhat intrigued. Humans are so incredibly complicated. Almost all the characters were beyond fucked up and deserved nothing but the worst. Especially Seiya was beyond redemption. I only felt slightly bad for Haruto and Takumi. I felt they were just involved with people that didn't have their best interest at heart. I can only describe this as gut-wrenching and mind-pondering. The story was interesting in its own way. I just had to skip most of those "sex" scenes. I found Ruka and Haruto's first kiss the least repulsive out of all the kisses. So, the ending. They made us think that all was fine, just for Ruka to drop a massive bomb which took the ending in a completely different direction. I'm still unsure what actually happened and whether or not Haruto really forgave him.

This was probably one of the most over-the-top movies ever. It was all over the place. It's basically a manga directly converted into a movie. By that, I mean that there were many exaggerated expressions and actions. I was also just confused most of the time. Despite all that, I think it was so ridiculous that it became enjoyable, in a way.

Considering this was both of the lead actor's debuts, the acting was pretty good. They had chemistry and a nicely done kiss. The mom was homophobic, and the sister just fetishized their relationship instead of defending/supporting them. Despite all that, I still think they got their happy ending. I just couldn't get emotionally invested when it was so short.

I guess it was an ad? Either way, I found it to be highly unlikely that his crush liked him back when they barely knew each other. Maybe some people are just lucky like that. There was nothing wrong with this. It was just basic. I would have liked to see Earth play as a character that wasn't so similar to the one he played in 2 moons 2, though. I'm not as excited about their upcoming series if he's going to be a shy boy throughout the entire thing. At least they seem to have some chemistry.

This was a very different kind of BL. It made me cringe, but I think I somehow enjoyed that? I liked that the characters were all mostly perfectly okay with their sexuality. There wasn't any beating around the bush. It was only really Jao who was unsure. That said, it was more so due to his insecurities. The stalking aspect was odd and made me very uncomfortable. I know Toh never wanted to harm Nuea, but stalking is wrong. Toh's explanation made it a little less bad, and the fact that Nuea was okay with it also helped. Nonetheless, it was very controversial, I'd say. The plot was all over the place, but honestly, I looked forward to what they'd come up with pretty much every week. This show was very unpredictable. There was drunk kissing, and both Toh and Nuea touched each other inappropriately when the other was unconscious. I didn't like how that was completely glossed over. Another thing was the husband-wife shit. Just stop. I was happy that they allowed Toh and Nuea to be a switch couple, though. Anyway, Billy and Seng have sizzling chemistry. I would almost go as far as to say they have the best chemistry I've ever seen in a BL. They are the biggest reason to watch this. Heng and Surprise were fine. I think I just found their relationship too cheesy. I badly wanted more of Touch and Daisy. They interested me. Also, a trans character that isn't a predator, honestly, I thought it would never happen.

I mean, it was cute. I liked that they were casually falling in love. There was no denial, only confusion. I even think Sato was openly gay. Bo hen also had no problem coming out to his friends. It was refreshing. The acting was a bit awkward at times. Their kisses weren't, though. The plot was okay. It was just so short. I also will admit that I found Sato ever so slightly creepy. I'm not sure why. The overall quality of the series wasn't great. Maybe it was supposed to be like that.

They had such amazing chemistry. For once, they actually went in with the kisses. The acting was great. I liked the characters and their development. The story was simple but enjoyable. Of all the tropes, enemies-to-lovers is really the only one that I like. I was excited every week to watch it. I would like another season, please. There were only two things I didn't find particularly necessary. Firstly, the non-consensual kiss. I mean, at least he apologized for it. I'm not mad. I just think it was unfortunate. The drunk kiss was also a bit dubious, but I'd like to think they were both somewhat equally drunk. Secondly, the whole one character is about to leave, so another character has to stop them last minute. It's a little too cliche for me. It's not that big of a deal, but still.

It was alright. There wasn't really time for conflict. The BL couple had barely any, which was a good thing. They were cute enough. Although Pick wasn't a bad person, some of the things he said were less than ideal. I get that he was struggling with his feelings for Rome, but still. I loved Rome's honesty and confidence. Off and Gun have always been great together. Their kiss in this wasn't mind-blowing, but it did fit the mood. Funnily enough, the gay side couple kissed, but the straight main couple didn't. Overall, the straight couple wasn't bothersome. The acting was good.

Pick being jealous wasn't cute. Until we found out Din was a weirdo, I was honestly rooting for him more. I liked Rome in this one too. He never tried to make Pick jealous, nor did he lead Din on. I won't blame Pick too much for his indecisiveness. He was figuring out his sexuality after all. That said, he still acted idiotically at times. The kiss was lackluster in this season one as well.

Well, the only good part about this was Yanase. Naito did the character justice. Honestly, I kept watching just to watch the man's smile. Everything else was meh. The plot was boring. I honestly don't know how they made it eight episodes long. The chemistry wasn't there. I was not convinced that they both liked each other at all. I don't know if it was Seto's acting or Kaneda as a character, but I couldn't get myself to like him. He just annoyed me. The kisses were tame. Actually, it was borderline painful to watch. I can no longer condone such half-assed kisses. We all know they can do better. Also, both the kisses happened before they were really together. There was no kiss in the last episode. I despise it when they do that. The whole going away shit makes me go feral. It's so cliche. It meant that there was no chance for their relationship to develop, pretty much. They were still awkward in the last episode. It was super unsatisfying. Overall, I was just underwhelmed.

This second part was significantly more slow-paced, but not in a charming way like the first part. The kissing was a little awkward. It almost looked fake, but I don't think it was. The acting in this one was noticeably less natural. I noticed it in the emotional scenes. Overall, the first movie was more captivating. I will commend it for not including a bunch of BL tropes and cliches. There was a female character, but she wasn't there to tear them apart. There was no homophobia. There wasn't any forcefulness. There also wasn't any downright denial. It was nice. They did lack in the communication department, though.

This was actually really adorable. I was a little confused at times, but I found the plot interesting. There wasn't really any problematic behavior that I picked up on. Seiryo not basing who he dated off what they looked like is truly a rarity. Basically, we have found a pansexual among us. Shino might have also been somewhat the same. He said that others always dated him for his looks and not what was on the inside. So maybe he himself also didn't care about outer appearance. Also, he had no problem telling others they were dating. It was nice to see their relationship develop. In this movie, it wasn't really clear how serious Shino was. Seemingly, it started as a joke to him, but later on, he was jealous. It seemed that way, at least. I would say this movie is a perfect example of slow-burn romance done right. The acting was good. The chemistry was also good. The kiss was rather stiff. I assume it was supposed to be like that, though.

Poor Howard. But honestly, he shouldn't have settled for a married man. There are so many better options out there. It bothered me that people made Howard the guilty one and not Ben. Ben was the one who was in a relationship after all. Also, it takes two to cheat. At least Howard and Bubu could find comfort in each other's company. I have no particularly strong feelings towards this. It was fine, I guess. I would have much preferred it if it were less serious. I can't lie, I'm a sucker for fluff, and this wasn't that. It was frustrating and kind of sad. Basically, it wasn't for me. That doesn't mean it was bad. The acting was good. They had some sweet moments, but overall, I wouldn't say they had much chemistry. The kisses also weren't fantastic. I think the best part about this was Kazuma. He was such a good boyfriend and friend. Ren wasn't bad. He was just deeply traumatized, and that made him do things that honestly pissed me off. I just don't know how much you could blame him. That said, it was his own choice to lie.

In total, the gay couple takes up about one whole episode. I would say that makes them significant enough. They were relatively cute. Yujiro had some interesting views. I didn't necessarily agree with the declaration he dragged Daisuke with him to do about their relationship. I get the message he was trying to send, but he should have asked Daisuke first. Listen, it was cliche. It was all over the place. There were endless BL tropes. There were annoying female characters. There was a homophobic character. There was pointless fighting and breaking up. There was over-the-top silly humor. There were fairly bad musical numbers. There was a fetishizing mother. There was pretend dating. Honestly, the list goes on and on. The acting was okay, sometimes leaning on not so good. The kisses were mostly good. Like, the couples were actually quite cute at times. Unfortunately, the writing was just not up to par. All that said, sometimes it's nice to watch pure cringe mixed with BL. Basically, it's for a specific type of audience.

So, not really a BL. It was cute and all, but they didn't end up together. I'm pretty sure Taiichi didn't like Kohei back. To me, it seemed as if they were just friends at the end. Taiichi didn't hate or blame Kohei for kissing him, but he didn't reciprocate his feelings. There were a lot of great messages in this, though. Anyway, they were great friends, and that was about it. Basically, I was quite disappointed by the outcome of their relationship. It was a good movie otherwise. The acting was great.

First of all. Minnie was not funny. She touched Win's crotch and abs when he was drunk and unconscious. Imagine if the roles were reversed. Gosh. This whole series was basically an ad for a skin hospital. The acting was so-so. The BL couple had okay chemistry, but I do somewhat agree with others. Win and James had more chemistry. That's probably why they'll have their own series now. There just weren't enough scenes of James and Teenoi together. Then all of a sudden, they had been dating for four months? The only reason why this first season is on this list is that it shows the start of their relationship.
No kiss.

In this season, I actually really liked James and Teenoi together. Because they were already a couple, we obviously saw them be more intimate. It felt fairly natural to me. I don't know. I don't really have much to say about this. It was silly, but none of it was offensive, like in the first season. The acting was once again okay. I assume it was supposed to be over-the-top. If you care about the gay couple, you can always skip Win's quest to find a new girlfriend. That was so stupid, by the way. Beauty broke up with him because of what exactly?

This series made no sense. The subtitles were awful, and many parts weren't even translated. Had there been good subtitles, it probably still would have been a mess, honestly. I skipped through most of it, had I not, I would have lost my marbles. I only cared about Ongsah and North. All the other couples were either underdeveloped or just all about sex, sex, sex. Wan and Mai were the worst. Their relationship started with alcohol and ended with drugs. Wan looked like he was forced most of the time. North's mother was disgusting. She was homophobic, transphobic, and possibly, a molester? The lesbian couple made no sense. The couple where one of them was an addict made no sense. The murdered sister, whose killer was never found out, made no sense. I did enjoy seeing many of the characters stand up for their basic human rights, though.

It really depends on what you like, but personally, I found it to be way too long and boring. There were some emotional scenes I liked, but I felt like it took over the entire series. I had expected something different and interesting, but it was rather straightforward and predictable. The story was sort of all over the place. Also, I did not care for the Dream and Luck side story whatsoever. The ending was quickly wrapped up and felt empty to me. It was happy, but I didn't really feel good about it. The acting was mostly good. Nut either visibly improved his acting, or his character in Oxygen really just was that lifeless. I found him charismatic and genuine in this. I thought Plan was a little stiffer. I didn't really feel a spark between them. At least the kisses were proper.

Had this not come out the year that it did, it would not have been such a fan favorite, in my opinion. It was one of the first of its kind. You know, the whole engineering thing. Unfortunately, it also started the wife thing and the I-don't-like-men-I-just-like-blank thing. Although this isn't my personal favorite, it is a BL that you should watch at least once. Singto and Krist had okay chemistry. I honestly didn't see that sizzling chemistry everyone else saw. Their kisses were so-so, but not bad. Although Arthit was very annoying at first, Kongpob was annoying too at times, so they balanced each other out, I'd say. They were both flawed but nonetheless good people. They had trouble communicating. Arthit was understandably confused, but he should have just told Kongpob that he needed time. What happened to Prem and Wad? They teased the possibility of them liking each other, and then Wad was just gone for the second half of the series. There were no evil or toxic female characters in this, nor were there any stereotypical characters. There was a pointless straight couple, though. I enjoyed the fact that there was an actual plot. It wasn't just romance. The romance actually took very long to develop.

When this came out, I didn't enjoy it. Having rewatched it, I actually prefer it over the first season. It was much more realistic and mature. It was well-written, and I liked the main characters more. I won't blame Arthit for how he acted. He was obviously terrified of others knowing about them. I just wished he would have communicated with Kongpob. Kongpob did some things I didn't agree with, but they were minor things. Arthit deeply hurt Kongpob by ignoring him. It was horrible that Arthit was basically forced to come out because of a certain woman. Being outed is awful. The fact that her actions were so easily forgiven boils my blood. Anyway, the special scenes were lifesavers. Kongpob was a pro at flirting. Although there wasn't much intimacy directly shown to us, they clearly loved each other very much. Krist and Singto also had more chemistry in this. The kisses were better as well. I loved Earth. Hands down, she is the best female character in a BL ever. Yong and Nai were an unneeded couple, in my opinion. I mean, it led nowhere for the most part. Tew and Day also weren't official, but it was much more obvious that they liked each other. They were a nice addition. Sure, they were both very stubborn people, but that was what led them to catch feelings. John was trash. Thank goodness justice was served. They dropped the heteronormative use of the word wife. This was, in general, not problematic or stereotypical.

Why is cheating so often featured in gay stories? It's rather been-there-done-that at this point. Both Shin and Takashi were awful. Shin cheated on Kazu and didn't care at all about Kazu's feelings, but then when Kazu was blackmailed into sex to help Shin, he got all pissy about it. Takashi married a woman for selfish reasons. Sure, he later divorced her, but what a waste of time it must have been for her. He also basically raped Kazu. Honestly, Kazu was better off without both of them. Kazu never wanted to cheat on Shin. He literally cried when it was happening. So, although they all were alone at the end, it was the right ending, in my opinion.

To put it simply, I found it very boring and underwhelming. The acting was fine, but they had literally no chemistry. I didn't really like any of the characters. Prince had his moments, but most of the time, I found everyone annoying and immature. The plot was so similar to A Tale of Thousand Stars. The only difference was I didn't care for this one at all. More Daonuea and Khabkluen content was also forced upon me. The worst part is that there's going to be a special episode. They should just let this series die. GMM BL's have been so disappointing lately. This was forgettable and cliche. The characters weren't likable. Daonuea and Khabkhluen both pissed me off. The audacity for Daonuea to say that he didn't want to hurt anyone and then go on to do just that. Honestly, I did not understand why FOUR people crushed on him. There was nothing special about him. He was boring and easily became upset over literally everything. Khabkhluen wasn't the silent type nor mysterious. He was just purposefully bad at communicating and treating the person he liked well. Also, Kluen told Nuea that he kissed him when he was sleeping. This was way before they even considered each other friends. How did Nuea react to being basically assaulted? He laughed and wasn't even slightly upset. Even if it's your crush, someone you like, or whoever, they've still assaulted you. Kluen was fully aware of what he was doing. Gross. This needs to stop. I found Typhoon creepy. At first, I felt bad. But after being very clearly told by someone that they are not interested, just back off. He too kissed Nuea without his consent. I really didn't care whether he was heartbroken or not. The acting was so-so. I also didn't feel like there was any chemistry at all. The kisses were plain bad. Maithee and Sean had the most chemistry, and they weren't even a couple. I really hope Fah and Prince's story is better than this.

Someone called this the most heterosexual BL ever. I can only agree. I can't believe we're back to fake kissing. What were they thinking? There was no chemistry. The writing was severely lacking. It was rushed, which was to be expected with that runtime. The characters were shit. Yoo Jae was just the most toxic little prick, and Han Joon was bland as fuck. I was not rooting for them at all. Censored romance.
I feel conflicted. I definitely preferred it over the original adaption of Addicted, you know, because this one didn't include sexual assault. I just couldn't help but feel it was all over the place. I enjoyed large portions of it, but there were also quite a few scenes that felt completely pointless to me. The acting was fine. I really liked them together. It was not difficult to see they were more than friends. This is called a censored adaption, but there were multiple cheek/face kisses. So I don't really feel like it was all that censored. I've watched actual BL's that featured less intimacy. Anyway, we can't forget about the ending. As far as I know, they are going to follow the novel, meaning we will eventually get a better ending. This was the uncut version!? It felt so unfinished. I can't imagine what the cut version was like. The worst part is that these episodes were over an hour long, and it still didn't feel like anything got resolved. That said, it also felt too long. It was honestly a weird experience. So yeah, it just got annoying and boring. Pat was so unlikable. He was such a sulky crybaby. Jeng deserved so much better. He was adorable and a great boyfriend. I may have been blinded by love. Idk. All I know is that I do not accept any slander towards Jeng (and Man, for that matter) in this house. I mean, Man's acting was superb, in my opinion. When it comes to Ben/Pat, I can't really say whether it was his fault or it was just the character, but he had the same face the entire time. It bothered me to no end. They did have chemistry for some of the series, but as I said, Pat ruined it for me. The plot was, as usual, pretty basic but also quite incomprehensible at times. I just want to see Man in a different BL with another actor. Something more light-hearted, preferably.

I can't say it was my favorite. The acting was sometimes good and other times not. Other than that, I'm quite tired of the accidental-kiss-leads-to-a-relationship trope. Also, it was kind of weird how Nico just went along with it. Surely he'd be a little confused and or uncomfortable, right? My favorites were Miray and Vergel. Neither were lead characters. I don't know what that insinuates. I didn't connect with the leads at all. There wasn't much chemistry between Prince and Nico, to be honest. Maybe that was what really made this series lackluster. I just found it boring. Lastly, Julius' character development felt unnatural and unlikely to me.

I can't say it was flawless, but I enjoyed it. I thought the acting was great. The script was maybe cheesy at times, but they also said a lot of very true things. The plot wasn't original. I mean, at least every other Filipino BL is about the pandemic. That said, they did it better than many of the others, in my opinion. The character development was believable and realistic. JM had to let others in, and Reb had to realize that love isn't a fairytale. I liked when they finally communicated and tried to understand each other's views of love. Their chemistry/love wasn't, as Reb said, passionate nor intense, but it was, as JM said, comfortable and calm. I wish they had a kiss where they weren't drunk nor super emotional. They weren't together in the end, but maybe that was the right thing? I did want them to get together, just not yet. They both had to work through their individual problems first. So, basically, I do want a second season. I love a full circle. The panic attack thing was clever and sweet in a way. Also, I die for characters in these BL's that actually understand the concept of consent. A thing I could have done without was the replaying of certain moments. It made the realistic aspect of the series, well, artificial feeling. In conclusion, I think this is the best Filipino BL this year so far.

Their kisses also weren't great. They were just lips touching. Anyway, I wasn't that fond of Amasawa in general. He bored me. Isumi was cute. Yohei was the best character, though. He wasn't a love rival, just a good friend. We should also discuss the obvious power imbalance between Isumi and Amasawa. I mean, I can only say that I found it a bit weird. Wow. I'm so tired of BL's that revolve around food and offices. Where is the originality? Anyway, all I want to say is, that I preferred Sakae with his ex. Mizuki wasn't the nicest, but at least he was charming. I was more invested in him and his new boyfriend whom we literally only saw for ten seconds than I was in the entirety of the rest of the series. I really wanted to like Soga, but he just bored me. I'm not sure what Sakae saw in him. I didn't think Sakae was all that interesting either, though. They also just had no chemistry. Romance series are pointless when you don't like the couple together. The last episode was very predictable. They really love to make them break up and then get back together right at the end in Japanese BL's. I'm over it. The acting was fine, nothing noteworthy.

I can't watch any more of this. It was boring. The plot was confusing to me. I didn't like the characters. Sun was cheesy. Salin acted like he was made of glass. Together, they made me somewhat uncomfortable. I mean, Salin literally gave Sun the nickname Dad, and Sun thought that was great. I cringe. The second couple wasn't as annoying, but I still didn't like their characters either. Sam was a liar. Yotha was sort of mean. I didn't feel the chemistry between them. I also thought that there was something off about Tenon's acting. I don't remember him being so stiff in Golden Blood. I'm pretty sure Pim and Prim were supposed to get together, but I did not think they were good together at all. Then, the final couple, Chan and Juldis. Gabriel and Giorgio's first sexual encounter was extremely questionable. I still haven't quite figured out whether Gabriel was drunk or not. He threw up and passed out right before the event happened, yet he was able to remember it the next day? He forced himself on Giorgio, even if he was the drunk one. Giorgio did end up liking it, but before that, he was saying stop. Giorgio was also at fault. He shouldn't have kissed back, when to his knowledge Gabriel was drunk. The best thing about this was their chemistry. Although the acing wasn't great, at least we could count on Gabriel and Giorgio to have good kisses. They were never hesitant or shy about it. Giorgio was my favorite. His love for Gabriel never changed. It was weird that literally every female character, except for one, was trans. I find it offensive that trans women are constantly being put in these BL series as predators and comedic relief. I want genuine trans representation and not a stereotypical kind that is just harmful. Another thing was Gabriel calling Giorgio his wife multiple times. Just stop. Lastly, Gabriel and Giorgio kept taking off their masks in front of each other. They also kissed when Gabriel potentially had the virus. I found it very irresponsible.
There were kisses and sex scenes.
Happy ending.

I feel conflicted. I really enjoyed it. I looked forward to seeing what silly things they would get up to each week. They had chemistry. The kissing/intimate scenes were good. The acting was good. The characters weren't unlikable. All that said, I felt like there wasn't much progress in their relationship. There were only half confessions. The last episode left me feeling rather underwhelmed. I wanted them to be actual boyfriends. I also can't gloss over the power dynamic. Yoh was living in Segasaki's house under his conditions. Segasaki was possessive and jealous. Sure, all that is true, but it's also true that Yoh was into it. I'm not saying it was a healthy dynamic, but they seemed happy enough about it to me. Yoh could have left at any point. He didn't, though. It was made very apparent to any viewer early on that Yoh was almost desperate to sleep with Segasaki. It also wasn't like Segasaki was a nasty person. At first, they wanted us to be unsure about him, and to me, it became very obvious later on that he just had a hard time expressing his feelings for Yoh. Well, actually, they both struggled to communicate. Plus, Yoh was incredibly dense. Overall, I want another season that does their potential justice.

There were some cute moments. Their hugs were top-tier, and honestly, I prefer hugs over kisses. They were by far the best parts of the series. The characters were okay. I thought Taishin was too dense, though. He was almost like a child. It didn't help that Takara was pretty hard to read. It got frustrating. The kisses were okay. They were just touch-and-go kisses, but at least they didn't linger for a minute like in so many other Japanese BL's. The acting was good. I thought Iwase was especially good. They touched on some very serious subjects like suicide, stalking, feelings of abandonment, etc. I just thought it felt out of place and also unfinished. Maybe they were a little too ambitious. The series was too short for there to be so many different things happening. Anyway, overall, it was a mostly cute series.

I feel so conflicted about this. I liked both characters. Amagi was quick to misunderstand, but that was just because he was quite insecure and cared for Takara's wellbeing. Amagi was cute despite his flaws. Takara was a very interesting character. I liked him, but I also felt like I didn't know him at all. He was so hard to read. I do realize that was the point. It wasn't difficult to see how much he loved Amagi, though. What I didn't like was the mostly wooden intimacy. The kisses made me feel nothing. Just overall, there was a lack of comfort between them, which happens to be the case in way too many BL's. It makes the couple's feelings for each other feel a bit superficial. There wasn't anything offensive about this series, I guess. It was simply the uncomfortable intimacy that made me rate it lower. Also, the story was nothing special.

Nothing about this was great. Neither Takabayashi nor Nozaki faced any consequences for committing literal crimes. It was weird and disrespectful that Gii agreed to a bet where the price was Takumi. Takumi's phobia was quite inconsistent. They had no chemistry. I think it was wise that they changed the actors for the other movies. That love scene was just too weird. Also, Takumi's trauma was so dark and twisted. Was I supposed to feel bad for his rapist brother? I think not.

The chemistry was better in this one. The acting was also better. The plot was pretty uninteresting. I get that it was supposed to be emotional, but it was just so out of nowhere. It was hardly about Gii and Takumi. It was a tragic love story between two new characters. I mean, at first, it was centered around Takumi being jealous and suspecting that Gii was into someone else, but that was quickly forgotten. There was one scene later on that brought the focus back to them, though. I will say the rainbow thing was cute as fuck, but that was it.

In this one, they seemed to be more comfortable together, especially in that last scene. The plot was still pretty unoriginal and uninteresting, though. They were apart for almost the entire movie. I'm not sure if Arata actually liked Takumi or if he just wanted to motivate Gii. Arata came off as a better choice than Gii either way. Gii was quite selfish. He never seemed to tell Takumi about anything. He would rather let Takumi suffer due to thinking Gii didn't love him anymore. Akaike had to be the one to tell Takumi about everything. Also, Akaike was weirdly too invested in Takumi. He kept commenting on Takumi changing and stuff. I found him annoying, pretty much. I'm not sure Takumi's phobia coming back just like that made sense. I felt like it simply came and went whenever the writers deemed it convenient.

I found it very odd that Arata was the way he was and treated Shingyouji the way he did. He acted like he didn't like him but then went on to exchange candy via their mouths. Was he just supposed to be a so-called tsundere? If that were the case, shouldn't he be charming and not come off as an asshole? Why did they feel the need to make one of them the other's possession/pet? Gii even stated that they would never be equal. Like what? Also, it was weird how Shingyouji told Arata that he liked him the same day that he met him. His behavior, in general, was quite pitiful. It's just dumb because they actually had great chemistry. What was the deal with Sagara? Arata just admired him, I guess? I don't know why Yoshizawa and Izumi were in this. They added nothing, and the constant change of actors throughout the movies made it hard to keep up.

This was a horrible way to end it. Both Gii and somewhat Takumi was acted out of character in this. Gii actually said that Takumi's brother, you know, the one that raped Takumi, would have been his biggest (love) rival had he still been alive. WTF. What an absolutely disgusting thing to say. I would have dumped him right then and there. He also seemingly got annoyed with Takumi because he wasn't ready to be touched by Gii. Maybe I misunderstood, though. This movie was, in general, hard to follow. I couldn't tell whether certain scenes were flashbacks or the present. I'm not sure why Takumi would want to bring Gii with him to visit his brother nor why Gii would want to go. Then came the sexual assault. It made no sense for Gii to do that, especially when he knew about Takumi's trauma. He started making out with Takumi when he was fully aware Takumi was asleep. When Takumi fought back, Gii said that he had realized that this, meaning being forceful, was the way to do it. This movie totally killed any liking I had taken to Gii. He literally spent most of his time making Takumi cry in all of these movies. Once again, they made it seem as if the viewers should feel bad for Takumi's brother. Fuck him. So what if he was going to apologize. It was too little too late. He had done enough. Arata and Shingyouji still weren't together. Why? Also, Arata was the best character in this one. If it weren't for him, would Takumi and Gii have made up? He really did a lot for them. That said, he might have been too invested and should have been more focused on his own relationship.

Of all the things you could remake, honestly. It was never a good movie to begin with. Also, why remake it just to make it look like it was made at the same time as the original? They had no chemistry. Gii's character seemed completely different. They didn't even get into why Takumi was the way he was. The lack of consent was also just wild. I didn't get any of it. What a mess. They truly did not have a healthy relationship. Type might have been molested by a man when he was a child, but that didn't justify hating all gay people. Regarding Type's trauma, that was not well done. It seemed as if he was over it so fast after sleeping with Tharn. He was very aggressive and short-tempered and sort of abusive towards Tharn at times. Tharn was also shitty. He kissed Type when he was sleeping and that one shower scene wasn't completely consensual either. Their constant fighting was silly. Also, Type was very nasty towards the girl he was dating. He hurt both Tharn and her by doing what he did. Tharn was manipulative and always tried to make Type feel guilty when Tharn was actually the one in the wrong. We never even got to know why Tharn was so insistent on getting together with Type. He just was. Lhong should have gone to prison for all of the horrible things that he did. I did not feel bad for him whatsoever. San was creepy and pushy. He was obviously just there to make Type jealous enough to admit his feelings for Tharn. Techno was a terrible friend. He left a drunk Type with Tharn. He even joked that Tharn shouldn't take advantage of him. Tar annoyed me. It was hard for me to feel bad for him when he only cared about himself. I get that he was in a difficult situation, but still. Overall, there were just so many bad messages in this. The only reason why some people enjoyed it was because of MewGulf's undeniable chemistry.

This is the only episode that matters. No non-consensual things were happening. There was no psycho friend. There was no annoying ex-boyfriend. My only problem was Type's homophobic dad and how they were trying to make his homophobia comedic. So far, this is the worst BL of 2022. There was just no substance. It wasn't funny. It was cringey, predictable, and boring. The "plot twist" at the end made me even more furious. It made everything twice as pointless. Thank goodness it was only six episodes long. If Copter and Kimmon want to continue starring together in BL's, they need to find a better script than this. Their chemistry was completely lost amongst all the awful writing. It seemed like they wanted the viewer to side with Jing, but, in my opinion, he was the worst one. This was the complete opposite of the movie. It was so dark and depressing. Jimmy. What a psycho. He was truly twisted. The characters were also quite different from the movie. I get that ten years had passed, but still, it was inconsistent. They were both in the wrong. I just disliked Zhang Zhe more because he kept playing the victim. There is so much I could say about this, but I won't. I feel like it would ruin the experience if I just told you what happened. It was also just so sad that I don't wish to watch it ever again. I liked it at first, but quite a few things ruined the overall experience. I'll start by saying that Yin has improved his acting significantly. He was good in this. War was outstanding as usual. I can't rave about him enough. I appreciated the notes and their meaning, but I found it slightly upsetting that I had to resort to reading comments left by others to understand them. The subtitles were often gone, and they didn't translate any notes. That took away from all of the little details that would otherwise have been quite interesting. Hopefully, they will fix the subtitles. Anyway, Fern was horrible. You can not expect someone to pick up on your signals. You can also not be mad when someone rejects you. Dew owed her nothing. He didn't reciprocate her feelings, and that was totally valid. Then she, in a way, outed him to his mother right after she told Dew she understood his choice. That was downright despicable. She never even told Dew about it. Dew's mother reacted irrationally. Her first idea was to send Dew away? How about let your children be themselves? The ending I both liked and disliked. It left us with the hope of them eventually getting together, but they also, you know, weren't together, and that was unsatisfying. They had no real moments. We didn't even know Dew's feelings until the very last minutes of the final episode. So much was left unfinished it physically hurts.

The acting was good, in my opinion. Mild's acting skills were able to shine in this, compared to TharnType. The chemistry was good. The kisses, not so much. I think Mild was uncomfortable. The cast was just great, I'd say. The plot was where things started to falter. Somewhere down the line, they made us forget that Pond was Tee's teacher. Is that even allowed? Wouldn't there be a serious power imbalance? Pad sucked. I get that she was important to the story, but the homophobia was ridiculous. She was just abusive. Understandably, Pond was afraid of his sister, but he shouldn't have kept Tee in the dark about it. Tee was obviously suffering a lot because of Pond's lack of consideration of his feelings. The imaginary couple was a waste of time. Then there was Ball, the psycho ex that these BL's often feel the need to feature. He was awful, and they really suggested that he might get together with Chai. Chai deserved better. Kao and Jaet were an unexplored couple. They definitely portrayed Kao as being into Jaet. I liked Tiger. Ultimately, he was a good guy. The straight couple made no sense. Sadly, we had a stereotypical trans character who was way too touchy. Just why? The humor was too much at times. Overall, it wasn't a great series, but it was light-hearted and not long enough to bore me.

So, I guess Phum was a figment of Tam's imagination. Maybe a way to justify murder? By that, I mean Tam might have felt like he wasn't to blame for his wrongdoings. He was encouraged by Phum. Phum also provided Tam with love and care. Something Tam was severely lacking. If he truly were mentally ill and did all of this on his own, that makes it that much sadder. Anyway, about the horror aspect. I am a wimp, but this wasn't that scary to me. It wasn't gory or anything like that. There were corpses and animal cruelty, though. It's not a bad movie by any means. It was interesting for sure. Also, they are both amazing actors. Truly. I would like to see them act together again, under less depressing circumstances. They had great chemistry.

The best part about this was undoubtedly Dominic. His actions right at the very end weren't my favorite, though. He came off way too desperate. He was a very effeminate character, but he wasn't weak nor super eccentric. Timmy was a stereotypical feminine gay, though. He did slightly annoy me. Luke was good in the first half of the movie. I thought he seemed like a bright kid. Then came the questioning of one's sexuality part. Luke didn't handle it well, but he also wasn't that shit. I mean, he did let his homophobic friend's words influence his feelings for Dominic. It was fairly quickly resolved, though. Unfortunately, he really disappointed me when Karen came back. He completely disregarded Dominic and Karen's feelings. He was the one that kissed Dominic, and then just because his ex wants him back, he pretends like it never happened? She actually seemed nice. She didn't deserve to be cheated on. She asked him to prom, and then afterward, he kissed Dominic again. Luke needed to make up his mind. I liked the representation of religion. They taught the students that God equals love and that we should respect everyone regardless of their sexuality. That, to me, is religion done right. The acting was good. Adrian did really well. The chemistry was present. I both liked and disliked the ending. It was abrupt, but I liked that Luke finally chose for himself.

So it was all fake? That meant that we didn't actually know anything about their relationship in real life. It was so chaotic. I love horror, but this was a joke. For such a short series, it really was dragging. I don't think this couple is ever going to work. Turbo just isn't a good actor. I don't think Kaownah is an amazing actor, but he definitely seems like it in comparison. I'm really not trying to be mean, but those scenes where Turbo had to scream were so bad. It felt like nothing happened in most of the episodes. The original conflict went on for too long and became dreadful. I think something happened that made it so that the plot had to be changed. I don't know what was changed, but the series suddenly shifted direction. The last few episodes were the best, and even then, they still weren't great. I hate to say that I preferred Nite II because when he and Tae first met, he took advantage of his drunken state. Whether together or apart, Buh and Que were boring and unlikable. Almost the entire cast lacked acting skills, maybe except for Namwhan and Nite II. The kisses, especially the ones between Tae and Nite I, were some of the most forced I've ever seen. This whole project just wasn't well executed.

Happy ending.

It's not an inherently bad movie. I personally don't care for the super artistic movies, though. Poems have never interested me. The ending, was to me, underwhelming. Whether Dennis's feelings were at any point reciprocated was unknown. Marlon only stated being into Karen, his teacher, and also a woman. Karen was my favorite. She never even thought about getting with Marlon. Dare I say she was an independent woman? At least the acting was good. But yeah, there wasn't really any BL in this.
No kiss.

My first thought was that it was very inspired by Heartstopper. That's just an observation. I didn't mind it. I actually liked it until they shoved the fact that Nikko had ALS and probably would die soon in my face. It was so out of nowhere. It had been super cute and light-hearted up until that point. He didn't die, but still. Damn. It also got pretty cheesy toward the end. Anyway, the acting of the main characters was good. I liked Eli and Nikko. Justin was kind of annoying, to be honest. Just give up when you realize someone isn't into you and never will be. All in all, this could have been relatively good had they not decided to ruin it :)

A shame is what this was. This kind of plot simply can't get properly portrayed in such a short series. It was confusing. The ending was expected, but I still found it unsatisfying. There was some chemistry, but the kisses were sort of dry, which ruined it for me. The acting was really good, though. I would recommend it if you can ignore the plot and enjoy the cute couple regardless of anything else, I guess.

It could have been better. I liked the plot in the beginning. I got sort of sick of how repetitive it was. Also, the last two episodes were pure madness. I have no idea how they managed to make episode eleven so confusing. They were all fighting, and then two seconds later, they were friends again. Someone must have made a mistake. Khaotung and First definitely had chemistry. They are both great actors. I was really into how flirty Ayan was. I found him charming. Towards the end, they made him very cheesy, though. That said, overall, Ayan was a very likable character. Akk wasn't bad, just not as good, I guess. Thua and Khan were fine together. I just didn't love their characters, to be honest. There weren't that many offensive things about this, which is always a gamble with GMM. One thing Thua did, though, made me audibly gasp. This series surely wasn't written by a queer person. He publicly outed Akk and Ayan to the whole school. You just don't do that. He himself was queer, FFS. It was the last thing I expected him to do. The worst part was that it was in no way portrayed as being a bad thing to do. Just no GMM.
