10 Worst Films I've Seen So Far

The title says it all.

These are in order of preference *, so being the last here it's actually a good thing.

Horrible Honorable Mentions:
Death Bell 2 - Blood Camp (a freaking poorly-made remake of the first)
My Tutor Friend 2 (Good thing it didn't became a franchise like they probably tried to do)
Someone Special (Still is the worst Asian movie I've seen so far, that says a lot)
Howling
Confession of Murder (Nice concept, badly played out)
Spy Girl
Black Butler (Because a boy would cause too much sexual innuendo apparently)
Whispering Corridors 2: Memento Mori (???)

I'm open to discuss these with anyone who might want to, just send me a message or something because I had to control myself to not tell any spoilers here.

  • S Diary

    1. S Diary

    Korean Movie - 2004

    1.0

In my opinion, this film didn't need to exist.

For me it was a little uncomfortable to watch here and there and, the film becomes repetitive and stupid.

    2. A Perfect Match

    Korean Movie - 2002

    1.0

I believe, for some people, it can become a good disposable chick-flick thing to watch, but, for me, it's just plain boring. There were some parts where the writer must have been tired or, I don't know, upset (?) or just straight out lazy because that's how the story comes out sometimes.

The characters seem to be shallow, more than it usually they can be in a random chick-flick and the way it was filmed just... no! Nah! Please, no! I'm not watching it again.

  • Our Town

    3. Our Town

    Korean Movie - 2007

    1.0

It took me two to three days to finish, but not three days in a row like it was with Monsterz. I kind of forced myself ot finish this.

It has a promising story, most bad films do, so what's new?, but is boring and argh! I can't say anything else except for "argh!", just because it is annoying at some point. I wanted to like it, but everytime something promisingly good happen, then just let me down with a very disappointed smile and a ticking eyebrown. This movie kind of pissed me off at some point.

  • Monsterz

    4. Monsterz

    Japanese Movie - 2014

    1.0

I was very much disappointed with this film even though I wasn't expecting anything from it, I was looking for a supernatural thriller, yes, there's something about this in this movie, however the movie is so superficial and passive, it's not painful to watch as some other you may find in this list, but there's really nothing to it even though the story is promising.

I didn't care a single thing about the characters, they stories where poorly delivered and there was no real grasp on it to make the viewer to sympathize with the character and recognize them as "real", as people.

I attempted a review on Letterboxd about the movie, so there's more about it there.

  • Cyborg She

    5. Cyborg She

    Japanese Movie - 2008

    1.0

These cyborgs, robots films and their relationship with humans... Are they doomed or something? Most of them are just... *sigh* ... forget it.

This movie, well, it has good CGI, if you're into that, I mean, most of the damn film is CGI, so, yeah. They attempt mistery, but it's just confusing and then weird at some point, also pretty much predictable here and there.

Good thing is, well, the CGI - I'm not being sarcastic! - and some of the acting, it is well-fit for the film and no, I don't mean to say they're all a complete disaster, just some of them.

  • The Red Shoes

    6. The Red Shoes

    Korean Movie - 2005

    1.0

False jump scares, stupid plot twist that could just be a homage to M. Knight Shyamalan and you know the worst part of it? It has a nice beginning, this has a promising and exciting beginning and settles for a good story. I won't lie, though, it does slip here and there, but overall, I just said to myself that I was watching, at the very least, a B movie and, oh my!, how wrong was I!

By the end this... well, this thing just pissed me off with whatever it tried to do.  By the end, this movie has nothing to offer and I was left confused and upset.

  • 19-Nineteen

    7. 19-Nineteen

    Korean Movie - 2009

    1.0

Yes, I know. This was solely a promo movie for TOP acting as well as Seungri, leading to the kpop group BIGBANG promotion as well and - before anyone can say anything about it -, yes, I like BIGBANG, people, I really do, however...

Let's be objective on this one. What was the need for this to go on the big screen? I they'd just go Disney style and made it a TV movie, Disney does that a lot with movies like this.

The acting was horrible, I was embarrassed for them at some point, however, the movie is somehow, entertaining, a guilty pleasure, foolish entertainment for BIGBANG fans mostly, like myself and that's that! That's where this film belongs to BIGBANG fandom entertaining zone and maybe, just maybe, for someone who's looking for a film with a lazily writen script, very bad acting and out-dated style of music - specially rap.

  • Alone

    8. Alone

    Korean Movie - 2016

    1.5

No, no, the psychological fact doesn't bother at all, nothing about the message does, but the movie is confusing, tiring and boring.

Every single time I thought it'd get better somehow it manage to get worst I managed to fisnish this one in a day, but I had to stop three or four times and walk around the house and do something before continuing because I just got annoyed and bored and very much upset.

I won't spoil the meaning of the film or anything and one of the reason why I didn't gave it the lowest rating to this film is because of the meaning of the movie and because the director was a college student at the time still and that's it, otherwise, this movie is disappoiting and annoying and irritating for getting worse and worse.

It really pissed me off how many times, this movie could have picked itself up and done better, how many times it dragged itself unnecessarily.

  • No Tears for the Dead

    9. No Tears for the Dead

    Korean Movie - 2014

    1.5

Did you know... 'No Tears For The Dead ' is from the same writer/director of 'The Man From Nowhere'?

Be it a lucky hit or whatever you may call, somehow Jeom Bum has proven himself worth of praise with 'The Man From Nowhere', that movie is one of the best in Korean's cinema, no excuse needed, which is a huge contrast with this one.

'No Tears For The Dead' is the polar opposite of its precededor. I do see what he (Le Jeom Bum) tried to achieve here, the different approach to Hollywood cinema, the mix&match of his western style with the Korean cinema - his style as well, of course -, although it was almost complete failure.

The problems with this film starts very clearly with its writing, the script itself is definitely not something anyone should look forward to, the lines in english are unimaginative and boring, poorly delivered too just like most of the acting in this film. Even if it is entertaining to see things blowing up here and there sometimes, I hardly believe someone would believe, even for a second, on what the characters are going about, not to mention that bad english in this movie. I know, I know, bad english in Korean entertainment is something I should be used to because it happens a lot, but in this film, I insist, this didn't supposed to happen. Not that the lines are something you should look forward to, but still, you can find something like that on an old action-guy-flick movie if you want, nothing new.

However--- there are good things about this movie and it's Kim Min Hee's acting, I'm glad she was in this movie, it's something that deserves praise even though it's not amazing and all, but it's very good and much better than anything else this movie can offer.

  • Manhole

    10. Manhole

    Korean Movie - 2014

    2.0

    Boy! Talk about promising, huh?!

Good casting, nice plot and concept... Except that the actual script is painfully bad, the characters poorly developed and the main thing, the murderer is not what it supposed to be.

I don't know how to talk about this without spoilers, so I'll leave it at that.

One thing, though, Kim Sae Ron, she's not at her best here, not only her, but the other actors as well, Jung Yoo Mi could've been better, Kyung Ho too, but once you see the behind the cameras, it's easy to see how the director conducted was the crime to this poor acting. I could see a light in the end of the tunnel (pun unintended), but never went past that, their acting was held back a lot to follow the director's will.
