Dear lord, finally (2020-2024, only 4 years :)) done with this idol communist spy drama. There's like one slightly believable character in thisshow (Chi Cheng), everyone else is a paper cutout - Ying Er honestly dodged a bullet by dropping out of this one.
Cut out your brain and you'll enjoy it (: -

Bite-sized show full of wholesomeness and familial warmth, set in a seaside town. Pure calm, pure comfort and pure love
Thank you @aoinousagi for the subs (: -

Yeah, no, cringe...
It's a kshort drama so I didn't expect much but at least I hoped for a cute adopted family dynamics, even if tropey. None of that here, just rich handsome CEO falling in love with a poor female lead, eh -

A documentary on restoring Chinese antiques and art; basically the same footage as the film version but I felt this show was more informative, while the movie version was more... slice of life-y.
A must-watch for documentary lovers and people who enjoy art (restoring bronzes, carving in wood, fixing paintings etc), I love it :) -
8. The School Nurse Files

I found love in an unexpected place - show rated 7.2 AND has Nam Joo Hyuk (not exactly known for his greating acting skills) as the main cast is a recipe for disaster, surely? No. While it could use some touch-ups to become a truly 9/10 drama (has the potential for it!) but it's very decent the way it is right now as well. Unbelievably unique and warm, with this characteristic slice of lifey feel to it, yet full of adventure and focusing on a very interesting plot. OST is something else as well - so not-kdrama like it elevates the viewing experience outside of dramaland - you're not watching an idol asian drama, you're watching a proper (albeit quirky) arthouse film divided into 6 parts. Likeable (... but slightly shallow. Only slightly though) characters with faults of their own, mentors and friends ;)
Rating: 8+ (rounded down to 8) but I love it nonetheless.
Where is my second season, Netflix?! Everyone else, where are my recs for similar shows?! -
9. Wo Jiao Xu Yun Long Zhi Dong Shan Zai Qi

Low-budget short webdrama full of wish fulfillment - it's akin to all these trashy webnovels with underdog MCs slapping young masters left and right. And since I'm an avid webnovel reader, I like it - ML might be bland but he's badass so it evens out xD Secondary characters are bland too, but the ML is badass so it evens out, you get the drill.
Acting is okay (especially considering it's a drama full of rookies), opening and ending themes are pleasant.
Enjoyment: 9/10, but the quality is not that great (it's a WEBdrama), so it brings the rating down a little - but I still like it -

Nothing really wrong with it, it's just shallow... and bland -

I waddled through a lot of shit just to watch this drama that I thought was about Chinese opera - well, I was wrong xD The opera part has like 45 seconds of screentime -
12. Decline

Slightly oversimplified and predictable (doesn't hold a candle to the likes of The Ancient Detective, of course) but toes the line between naive and wholesome. Short enough to not become boring, long enough to have a semblance of overarching plot
Very decent for a short drama (I've certainly seen worse), ties up all of the loose ends nicely (even if not exactly artfully) and I did not notice anything horribly wrong with editing or acting. Visuals are passable, the sound is VERY good considering this drama's budget.
If it was a regular TV drama then I'd rate it probably 6.5, 7 at best, but considering it's a webdrama... 7.3 it is. -
13. Setagaya Veranda no Koi
Japanese Drama - 2021, 4 episodes

I usually don't have any extreme opinions on these short dramas - after all they are short, so one has to be more lenient towards them, but this one? 0 redeeming qualities. Oh, the ending theme is nice -
14. Iburi Kurashi
Japanese Drama - 2022, 13 episodes

Very decent and surprisingly relatable - do not be deterred by my "lowish" rating, as I'm simply comparing it to other SoLs (food-related or not) and I've already seen a fair share of them.
Pleasant, chill, with a lot of tasty food and mains that communicate and try to be the best for each other, accepting their flaws and loving each other nevertheless. Focuses mostly on cooking (smoking) food so don't expect deep plot (: It's just food and chill vibes, Japan style
