Dramas I've Dropped (2021) & Why:
This lists contains all the dramas that I've dropped this year thus far and the reasons why I dropped them. There's no particular ranking order to them, just a reflection of how they're listed in my dropped watchlist.
They're may be spoilers in my comments. Although, I'll try to be vague. ^_^

1. Dear King of Medicine
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
It was cute. Too cute. I dropped at episode 13/24. I just couldn't withstand the endless fluff.
-
2. Fox in the Screen
Chinese Drama - 2016, 22 episodes
SO while I dropped this after the first episode, my mom finished it. I have this thing about old movies and shows. If there have been advances in filmmaking, etc. and the old movie is then vastly different from the modern that I've become accustomed to...I can't watch it. I'll sit there judging the production of it the whole while, senseless to the what's going on in the drama. It may just be a me thing, because my mom says I'm ridiculous. Lol. This aired in 2016, so it wasn't that old, but the CGI left things to be desired.

3. Guardian
Chinese Drama - 2018, 40 episodes
I actually liked this. Although the villain looks utterly ridiculous and the hair...I can't even. But the two leads and the team, they were great. I dropped on episode 17/40, because I found out they died in the end. My heart can't take that.
But, I did enjoy it until I found that out...so once I steel myself against the upcoming heartache, I may finish it.
If tragedy and censored BL (because there's that too ^_^) don't bother you, then I definitely recommend.

4. I Will Never Let You Go
Chinese Drama - 2019, 51 episodes
I don't remember why I dropped this; but I just took at the reviews and comments and yeah...no loss there. Dropped 1/51.
-
5. I've Fallen For You
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
Dropped on episode 4/24. I remember being irritated because of the stupidity and the annoying female lead. However, while I dropped it , my mom watched it. She's a fan of fluff and the stupid comical dramas.
-
6. L.O.R.D. Critical World
Chinese Drama - 2019, 48 episodes
Made it to episode two and no further. It had potential, but it was too low budget and the CGI was too distracting.
-
7. Legend of Awakening
Chinese Drama - 2020, 48 episodes
I don't remember why or what episode I got to. Sorry.
-
8. Love like White Jade
Chinese Drama - 2021, 32 episodes
It was fluff. Not bad, but not worthwhile either. Episode 17/32.
I was watching it on Youtube and the subtitles were asinine. Plus, there were audio issues. Oooh...and the voice dubbing the male lead, let's just saying it in no way fit the character or actor. Lol.
-
9. Love of Thousand Years
Chinese Drama - 2020, 30 episodes
Dropped on episode 3/30. The male lead was repulsive, and it was too low quality for me to put up with it in the hopes he got better.
-
10. Meow, the Secret Boy
Korean Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
2/24. Utter boredom.
-
11. Novoland: The Castle in the Sky 2
Chinese Drama - 2020, 34 episodes
My mom spoiled the ending for me and while I had liked it thus far, 11/34, the ending wasn't going to be worth my time investment.
-
12. Oh My General
Chinese Drama - 2017, 60 episodes
24/60. Too long! And the costumes were not pleasant. It had potential, but it dragged and the male lead was an _______. I heard he gets better, but I just couldn't continue. There was also something up with the audio file, very windy(?) throughout.
-
13. Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain
Chinese Drama - 2019, 37 episodes
19/37. So stupid. I can't.
-
14. Prince of Wolf
Taiwanese Drama - 2016, 18 episodes
The most wasted two hours of my life. 2/18. I was fascinated by how bad it was.
-
15. Qing Luo
Chinese Drama - 2021, 24 episodes
13/24. It was fluff. Not bad, but I started watching something else and I will honestly never go back and finish this.
-
16. Su Yu
Chinese Drama - 2020, 24 episodes
4/24. Predictable fluff.
-
17. Ouran Chuang Ru De Shijie
Chinese Drama - 2021, 12 episodes
1/12. It was...interesting. I was watching as it aired so only made it through the first episode and it just failed to grab me, ergo I didn't continue. I didn't hate it though, and it looked like it might be good.
-
18. The Bride of Habaek
Korean Drama - 2017, 16 episodes
8/16. So boring. I've tried watching it twice. I just can't make it through.
The male lead look so pretty in his god costume though. ^_^ Probably one of the prettiest god costumes I've seen.
-
19. The Legends
Chinese Drama - 2019, 56 episodes
14/56. I never got invested. I wasn't a fan of the costumes, etc. It looked low budget. And, while this might agitate her fans, I'm not so keen on Bai Lu as an actress. She's okay, but for some reason, her character just never sat right for me in this one.
-
20. The Great Ruler
Chinese Drama - 2020, 48 episodes
Dropped 19/48. It actually wasn't bad. It got soiled for me though. Also, I'm 25 years old, okay. The male lead actor is 20 years old, but he looks so young that I felt old. Ergo, I was never invested in him, but rather a few of the side characters, one of which dies. So yeah...I'm not going to finish this.
-
21. The Lost Tomb
Chinese Drama - 2015, 10 episodes
6/10. Skip this and watch Ultimate Note and Tomb of the Sea. This first adaptation is a waste of time.
-
22. Spirit Realm
Chinese Drama - 2021, 36 episodes
I was actually into it, but found out she sacrifices herself in the end. 8/36. Still, I may go back and finish it eventually, The male lead's costume and makeup was so pretty in both iterations of him.
-
23. Triad Princess
Taiwanese Drama - 2019, 6 episodes
1/6. It was eh.
