this one is less faithful to the source material and the story suffers for it but the male leads compensate for it more than enough and their insane chemistry
again beware: very low budget and this one had even less money than Untamed to make do but they managed and worked hard to make the best of it
no fantasy or cultivators, just fight scenes and spies and some low magic stuff, soulmates, fateful meeting, dads have a son and daughter

around first 4 episodes it's a bit silly and the FL is annoying but then the plot turns really good and she is basically saving his boy all the time from being hurt and without spoilers she is the man in this couple lol

the source material is a japanese novel series Onmyoji which China made a mobile game for and this is the adaptation of the game I believe
this movie is a typical cinematic fantasy with magic and creatures and the lead actor is beyond gorgeous

gay novel adaptation, one of the first after the start of censorship and I'm putting it on the list only because it paved the way so Untamed could run
this one is a mess honestly and around the end of production they even lost all the budget and had to finance it out of their own pockets
but all the mess is compensated by the main leads who are incredible together and now became huge stars in the industry
This drama was the first one to get extremely popular that it was taken down from platforms for a while
if nothing else it deserves a try
modern fantasy with gods, supernatural police and some ghosts but not really scary

this is a odd one on the list, a movie with the actor from YYM, modern drama comedy movie situated in Chongqing, I like the plot and atmosphere of the city and the native dialect along with the great cast and bromance chemistry
