Pepsi Banchorn Vorasataree
Thais
Favorite Works: Kinnporsche, My Stand In
Pepzi's work is outstanding every time. I absolutely love being invited into her worlds, which are dramatic, stylish, and full of heartfelt larger-than-life characters. Pepzi's team always delivers gorgeous design and thoughtful cinematography that heightens an already exceptional talent. I particularly enjoy the way her direction navigates the line between BL stylings and subgenre choices to create something unique and distinct.

New Siwaj Sawatmaneekul
Thais
Favorite Works: Until We Meet Again, We Are
New is not a director that I trust implicitly, but he's got an absolute mastery of the coming of age BL. Giving New a script where the weight and gentleness of true love is only outweighed by the importance of genuine friendship is like spinning gold. His ensemble casts always feel vital, unique, and fun. His work is touched with a very sweet, idyllic nostalgia for youth.

Tee Bundit Sintanaparadee
Thais
Favorite Works: Tharntype, Jack & Joker
Tee is not an especially famous director in the fandom community, but has a wildly strong resume. For me, his strength lies in the dynamics and chemistry between the couple, and staging scenes that truly highlight that energy. The tone of his shows always lands firmly on the right side of "Very BL" and promises a very fun, energetic time with loads of heart.

Golf Tanwarin Sukkhapisit
Thais
Favorite Works: 609 Bedtime Story, The Rebound
I absolutely love the worlds Golf creates. Each series they do is full of light and life and color that brings such a unique tone to the work. While many directors have a signature style, Golf has succeeded in crafting styles that suit the world being explored--from the 2000s style teen sports movie vibes of The Rebound, to the neon noir sci-fi of 609 Bedtime Story, to the bright-and-branded world of Wandee Goodday each world feels right for its characters. I just need them to stick the landing.

Cheewin Thanamin Wongskulphat
Thais
Favorite Works: Playboyy, Bed Friend
Literally stay with me here, because I know. I know. Believe me, no one knows more than me. But I think with a bit more discipline on some of the stylistic choices, Cheewin could truly be great. He has a wonderful sense of character connection and sexuality that repeatedly pushes his works to the top. I think what we have here, more than a lack of talent, is a budget issue. Seated for Playboyy S2.

Worawit Khuttiyayothin
Thais
Favorite Works: Century of Love, Laws of Attraction
Look. I know he's controversial--but I survived theatre school, so you have to forgive me for having a poorly calibrated sense of "directors that are too mean." He directs a damn funny lakorn with some genuinely beautiful shots and spot on usage of tropes. The pacing is brisk in a way that perfectly compliments the dynamics of the actors. And he would be farther up this list if he could do it nicely.
