Rewatchable Romance
All the romance shows I liked enough to watch again. A scarily difficult list to be placed in; I'm quite picky.

1. Xing Han Can Lan
Chinese Drama - 2022, 27 episodes
Best emperor I've ever seen put to screen, best FL's family, too. Fluffy and yet dark. Many, many shades of gray. Most realistic show I've seen--while still being watchable. Main couple is adorable, but it does behoove one to keep in mind that the FL is only fifteen. Beware the completely unnecessary breakup of the two in the last few EP's, it's hair-tearingly stupid.

2. Di Jia Qian Jin
Chinese Drama - 2024, 40 episodes
The cinematography of this show is breathtaking; the chemistry of the main leads to die for. The story too, is better than most all shows past and present. Truly the best revenge plot I've ever watched. It even has a happy ending!

3. Jin Xin Si Yu
Chinese Drama - 2021, 45 episodes
Complex, but cute. Deals with some real problems while still being entertainingly unrealistic. A Cinderella story. Only con: her excessive maidenly shyness. I mean, come on, you're married to him.

4. Encounter
Korean Drama - 2018, 16 episodes
Cute and totally unrealistic. Fluffier than an unsheared alpaca. Makes me grin like a loon and melt inside. Favorite character: Manager Nam; bless his scheming heart.

5. Monarch Industry
Chinese Drama - 2021, 68 episodes
More mature than most. FL is gorgeous, and allowed to be strong and intelligent. Beware the ending if you like the ML's 2nd in command, however. Stop at EP 33 for happy ending.

6. Bian Liang Meng Hua Tu
Chinese Drama - 2022, 40 episodes
A more mature romance with great chemistry between the main leads. Does have a totally unnecessary misunderstanding/breakup arc that made me want to pitch it into the sea, but I still have a soft spot for this one.

7. Love in the Desert
Chinese Drama - 2024, 26 episodes
A feast for the eyes. Beautiful people and places. SML is a glamorized rapist, just FYI, I simply started skipping every scene he was in. But I enjoyed the rest of the drama a surprising amount. This is not a sophisticated story by any means, and it is a bit spicier than I prefer, but I still have a soft spot for this one.
