Ep. 10 - Somewhere along the episode, I learned that Minchul (22 years of prison) has never had one visit up to date. Then later on, security guard, who is as surprised as Minchul, let him know he has his first visit ever. His visit turned to be Joohyung (Seungyoon), who was like a son to him during his prison service. Joohyung got discharged a few months back and promised to come and visit Minchul. I was touched that the boy actually kept his promised and came to visit. I love the friendship symbolism in this drama.
Ep. 15 - When Minchul found out that the young girl who always came to visit him was in fact, his daughter. I cried because the daughter loved his father, even though they only met in prison. Cried again when they announced that Kim Minchul would be released from prison before Christmas. This man has been through a lot and has been nothing but an exemplar inmate. He deserved this opportunity.

I laughed and cried with the people of this small village. I felt their pain when one left, I felt their warmth when one was consoling another. It was a very realistic story. Life never goes as planned, but we can't be stuck in the past.

19. Noodlanding op jou

The North Korean ahjummas! I wish there was a spin-off about just them. They were the reason I cried in this show. Seeing how they were caring and taking risks for one another really moved me.
