BL Series and Movies

I'm currently really enjoying this, my only complaint is that it is airing too slowly. It's nice to have two adult MLs with full-time jobs, and I must admit I love the friends-to-lovers trope so it doesn't make me mad. The second couple is cute too, although they definitely seem to have just fallen together somehow- not complaining though.

Definitely worth a watch at the moment, will update when the series has ended.

I think you should realize from the title that this is an 18+ NSFW show, but if you don't here is your warning. This was interesting and honestly not bad, but it was definitely a Japanese show in that they like to mess with your emotions a fair amount. I would classify it as being bittersweet, but I wasn't mad at the end. There is both a prequel and a sequel that I have not seen, and I don't know if I will watch them TBH, but for a movie, it wasn't bad.

Watch it if you want something a little bit funny, a little bit spicy and a little bit melancholy. If you are around sensitive company, wear headphones.

It's quite good for a high school BL tbh- I really enjoyed this one. It had a bit more depth to it than I was expecting, but it wasn't hitting you over the head with anything. You become quite invested in the characters. There is a love triangle, but it is handled really well IMO. It was a small production but done well.

Worth a watch, one of the nice newer KBLs that has come out recently.

Wow, this is a great show. I've watched it twice in less than a month, once by myself and then again with a friend. It is sweet and the chemistry is great (especially considering one of the MLs is somewhat emotionally stunted) and the ending was all warm fuzzies. Another newer show that gives me a lot of hope for future Korean BLs.

If you haven't heard of this- how? If you haven't watched it yet- do.

I skipped the main couple and watched this just for OffGun tbh. It's okay and cute, but if you want OffGun you're better off watching Theory of Love or Not Me.

It's a classic- can you really say that you watch BL if you haven't watched SOTUS?

I'm not going to lie, I haven't watched this yet. As much as SOTUS is one of the granddaddies of BL shows, KristSingto have not been one of my favourite couplings as I don't always feel their chemistry. I also have some issues with Krist as he made some remarks regarding homosexuality that left a bad taste in my mouth- unfortunately I have a hard time separating the art from the artist when it comes to LGBT+ issues, so if I find out that an actor disparages the community after directly benefitting from a role in a BL, I just don't want to watch them anymore.

This is on my Not Interested list, but I have heard from some SOTUS fans that they enjoyed it.

I'll watch it one day, when I do my rewatch of 2gether- I just was too mad to watch it when it first came out. Stupid high-five.

Yes, it has problematic elements. Yes, I still love it. The first 3 to 4 episodes are always a bit cringey and difficult to get through but the chemistry and everything beyond that makes up for it.

I love Tharntype, I need to watch this- I will watch it. I just have to prepare my heart for it.

This was good and a little heartwrenching- the acting was quite well done and I hope for once that there will be a second season. 

This is an amazing BL story that was hampered by the Chinese censorship laws, but I still think that the crew and actors behind the series did amazingly well. The MLs are just... amazing. I do think that the passionate fandom behind this series ended up saving it because at one point they were going to give one of the ML's a female love interest, but the fandom rallied hard against that. Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo are both amazing actors, and the story is great. My only complaint is that it is FIFTY episodes long, which isn't unusual for a Chinese show but is still a lot, and that the flashback was just so so long when I really wanted to get to the current relationship between Wei Ying and Lan Zhan.

Definitely a must-watch IMO, I've watched the donghua and read the books as well and it's just wonderful.

Another classic, and a much-needed full series for OffGun. A little cheesy at some points and funny at others, definitely worth a watch IMO.

Okay so despite everything, KornKnock fights constantly to be my OTP. I love this couple, or maybe I just love MaxTul- either way, this show will drive you crazy. The first scene is- ahem- a little racy so consider it NSFW. There is a girl in this show that you will want to murder, just a warning. Yes it's tropey, yes it's annoying, yes you will want to knock Knock's head into a wall several times, but it's so worth it.

I know, I have said that I love KornKnock- but I haven't watched this yet. I have an issue with cheating storylines, so I have avoided it so far (actually this is an issue with many BL sequels I find.) I will watch it eventually because I love MaxTul, I just haven't gotten there yet.
