Korean Shows + Movies Recommendations

My fave Korean movie ever. Enough said.

Thriller, Action, Mystery, Dark, Cults. A girl's attempt to escape the clutches of a cult her entire family is engulfed in. Definitely in my top 5 kdramas.  

Horror; Suspense; Thriller; Mystery. One of my all times fave!

Action, thriller, mystery, legal. A man's mission to prove his innocence when he can't remember anything at all. I love this show so much! My man goes through so much and I love Jisung's acting! He's amazing. 

Unlike the first episode and the title suggests, this drama's main focus is actually not romance. You gotta get past ep 1 to really enjoy this great drama. Some of the best character development I've seen in dramas, ever. I love it so much! My fave medical drama.

The beginning can be a little slow but after the first ep or so, it really picks up! Love this show to death! Romance is optional and definitely skippable in this one.

Still my fave Lee Jongsuk/Woobin drama. Deals with school life, bullying, friendship, teacher-student connection. The first few episodes might drag but it's a great drama. Loved it!

Very emotional and beautiful drama! Will make you cry a lot but definitely one of the best.

Mystery, Thriller, Comedy. A man thinking he's a psychopathic killer after he loses his memory and finding a diary that belonged to a serial killer. So good! 

Thriller, Mystery, Fantasy, Romance. Love the plot and all the twists! Great acting and dark, sinister story! 

Action, thriller, mystery, with the smallest hint of romance. Highly recommend.

Classic action, thriller. Must-watch!

The OG Good Doctor. A med-residency student on the spectrum. Some romance in there as well. Great show!

Rom-com that deals with multiple-personality disorder. It's honestly so great!

Historical, romance, comedy, action, mystery, gender-bender. Fun plot with lots of twists and fun characters. Definitely worth checking out~

Great action/mystery drama with some romance. Chang Jiwook's best drama imo.

Mystery, slice-of-life and ofc, romance. Pretty great!

Overall, a great drama. Romance and fantasy with great 2nd couple and side characters.

Fun and quirky coming of age drama with a bunch of college girls; romance, friendship, slice-of-life.

Season 2; I liked it better than S1 in some ways. 

Old but gold. Classic rom-com with body-swap. Fun to watch

Rom-com with great side-couples/characters. The main couple was ok but I only watched for the side couples. One of the few k-dramas that have an openly out gay character with a love-line as well. Here for the representation!

Plan to watch later; heard it was amazing tho. Super dark, creepy and no romance - at least, not in the typical sense.

Currently watching - Has North Korean dialect a lot so it might be confusing if you are trying to learn Korean.
