funny rom com ? ....... ughh ...
PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS DRAMA TO HEAVILY. TOO BE HONEST DIDN'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF DRAMA ILL BE GETTING INTO ... this is suppose to be a rom com set in the older days? TO BE QUIET HONEST I CAN'T STAND THIS DRAMA... like some parts are funny but the rest is just kinda stupid and naive no offense ( to people who actually like)The male lead's acting /character is way too cringy to a point i cannot stand. He is so overly narcissistic and loves himself and thinks his maid ( the female lead) should love him too ). I seriously cant even take him seriously lol. btw he also has kung fu abilities/ martial arts which they drastically exaggerate .
The female lead however is really repulsed by him... doesnt like the fact hes so narcissistic. She has been his maid for ten years. Her backstory is that she tries to find her " elder bother" not actually related by blood but who she grew up with, but she loses her memory , so she's trying to find him.
I've watch 12 episodes, there is no plot development or romantic development. The master forces like two kisses between them, which is really weird. feels to pushy... I would think maybe he would finally realize that he needs to respect and listen to her? treat her like a person and not just like a slave/servant?
maybe this genre of ancient rom com isnt for me?

A girl who can recognize people's face
this drama is wayy too boring, there is nothing really interesting about this drama. The leads dont have much chemistry.The female lead has a syndrome where she cant recognize people's face, because of this she was bullied from when she was young. When she was young a little boy help saved her and she has always remember that person despite remembering his face.
Fast forward she is now in college.. She wins an award for a photography contest. She is accused of copying someone elses photo, this is when the male lead come and saves her. I dont like the fact that in college there were people trying to bully her and make fun of her... The female lead doesnt have much development....
nothing particular stands out... and i dont even ship their romance...

NOT AS GOOD AS YOU THINK IT IS
AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT THINKS THIS DRAMA IS OVERRATED? i was really excited to see the chinese version but this drama is just so boring.1) The leads romantic development is soooooo slow , they got a kiss around the ep 12-13? bear in mind this drama only has 24 ep.
2) the leads have zero chemistry like zero. It took so long for the emperor to realized the female lead is a woman lol
3) The female lead doesnt show too much emotions( the emperor displays more emotions than the female lead)
4) the plot isnt plotting lol... just kinda flat... its pretty cliche that the female lead uses her knowledge to make modern day products in ancient times...
5) unnecessary characters added around ep 14... like she is trying to find her way home and ends up in another city...

Time traveling meets deity meets chinese harry potter?
To be honest the story was like a 7/ 10. The story is too complicated and doesn't explain itself well.. Its too busy1) female lead time travels or her soul gets transfered into Feng Wu 's body. She holds phoenix powers but lost the phoenix blood because the evil girl in the story took it from her. ( but theres no showing of the soul transfer)
2) Female lead has a master who has been in slumber, due to the fact that he tried to save feng wu when she lost her phoenix blood ... So feng wu mission becomes finding the broken spirit/soul pieces of her master, to awaken him., all while she is attending an academy ( kinda like the ones of harry potter)
3) The "supposely" heaven queen.. Her story is kinda complicated too.. she isnt a pure character but also one who is evil. She tries to over throw the heaven king which is her husband. She holds hatred for feng wu's master, because when the queen was young , she like the master, but the master didn't like her.... so hence she doesnt want feng wu to find the other parts of his soul.
4) Other parts of the story involves battling mythical creatures. ( which was interesting)
5) At the academy there is a master who ends up turning evil ? His character story line was awkward and weird.
6) some of the effects were way to fake.... like the thunder/lighting part... sighs..
Onto some of the parts i liked...
1) Male lead is handsome and definitely the driver of this drama. Female lead just didnt stand out enough.
2) Male lead's love for female lead. He really liked her and showed his affection for her. For her she did too but it didn't feel the same. Some are saying that they have no chemistry, which i agree and disgree on. The scenes of them being together is sweet tho !!!! it doesnt involve kissing . But for the kissing scenes it was not the greatest and no chemistry. I feel like a lot of them just lock lips and then don't move, lol that really isnt a kiss. They just hold it there, or another famous one is the spontaneous kiss which catches the female lead by surprise. haha maybe i'm too picky about the kissing scenes.
3) second male lead is also cute and caring towards the female lead. I didn't like his ending/ what happened to him
4)I liked how the female lead was a really kind character and innocent character.
It started off pretty solid, but after 20 something episodes , everything unravels and becomes kinda blunt and doesnt explain itself well. :( its not a bad watch, but got tired of it ...

Female lead chases male lead!
For a school romance drama it wasnt the best but wasnt the worse! It a decent watch until towards the end! Starts off pretty similar in the sense. that the male lead is an intelligent guy. His family and female lead family are neighbors. Female lead is not as smart as male lead, but she is talented in the arts, She is desk mates with the male lead. She is constantly chasing after him in studies and interest. The development of their relationship is quite cute. Even though they didnt get together until the very end. I liked their everyday interactions between them and that made them not being together more bearable, I can't stand slow burning romances!It was towards the end where i got kinda bored, It started of with the female leading chasing the male lead to the college campus. Even her major is science. ( thats the male lead's major. She chose this major to be close to him. The male lead doesnt want her to waste her talent in the arts! She discovers herself and pursues her true passion. Towards the last few episodes,i thought they were together like after their kiss but they werent.
It was strange for her senior brother from college to re-enter the story, that just created unnecessary drama.

Sweet romance of the leads all at the same time with evil dude who's trying to get a pearl
I was pretty darn excited to see a season 2. Would I say its better than Season 1? nope... To be honest some parts of the story was a let down. The first season was more acceptable to me because it was more of a fresh concept. With it being a season two its hard to make it even better... In terms of romance its definitely very sweet, not the most appealing story.You kinda have to watch the first one to understand the second, but at the same time not really. I mean all characters are basically the same. In this season the main different is the second lead , Liu Xiu Wen becomes a prince in another country. The two leads are as sweet as ever, constantly bickering! It's cool that this dramas revolves around the female lead being in Xr game, where she is the lead. She meets 4 handsome men. The crowned prince, a bodyguard turned prince, a rich guy and a guy dressed in white from the Hua Ying sect. She is supposedly tries to find true love to beat the game, not sure about this season.
The male lead who is the crown prince has this relative/brother ? ( honestly forgot how he was related to male lead) who tries to plots to get a pearl from the family. The pearl is said to have power and bring people back to live. He works with Liu Xiu Wen to try to get it from the crown prince. Liu Xiu wen is filled with jealous and hatred. That evil relative is actually the reincarnation or descendant of the Hua ying sect. ( to be honest I had no idea of how this sect is related to the story) Other than one of the four men the female lead meets is from that sect and protects her when she is in danger.
The storyline isnt develop well, and when it almost comes to an end, she gets to choose again because its a game. The bad guy is a little too sucessful >_< and also there are some really dumb characters. I'm only here for the romance!!! lol I liked first season story more than the second.
The romance tho is very passionate and kisses are full of chemistry. haha my only complaint is the angle of the kisses. Can only see from afar what happening, and also due to the height different, its hard to see. They are such a cute couple. I hope they can have more dramas together. However I did like the end's round up of all that happened! it made me want to see a modern day version of their story.

Melt my heart away , cute and simple love story
This drama is amazing !! AGAIN !!! I HAVE TO SAY 24 episodes is the perfect amount!!! This drama was so cute and sweet, I might get diabetes lol jk.. but definitely a joy to watch. I remember the male lead as Hua ze lei, that character is so different. Fell in love with the male lead after this drama lol. He's cute when he smiles1) the chemistry was phenomenal!!! like even though many kissing scenes were just a peck on the lip, it was super cute and you get the tingly feeling. haha maybe because they are roommates and always spending time together, so its believeable !! lol within 4 episodes they peck on the lips twice :)
2) Storyline is kinda cliche but its light hearted and sweet. Female lead Sang tian some how gets into her mother's alta mater but not through the major of ice skating. She instead gets into the male ice hockey team. This is where she meets the male lead Wen Bing. Wen Bing from day one already knew that she's a girl. ( I cant stand gender benders when the male lead is dumb af,, like doesnt know she a girl until like later episodes, but this one is good because he knows from the start). Sang tian basically is Wen bing's only cure for being able to see faces clearly. They kiss and he sees clearly for a bit. The story revolves around them in the hockey team how they first when from bickering to falling in love and helping and supporting each other, and also developing friendships from the team and having competitions. Every bit of the story fit and flowed perfectly.
3) second male lead is cute too hopefully he will be a main lead in a drama someday >_<
I give it a 10/10 !! can't wait to watch maiden holmes

Typical soul swap drama that fizzes out.. nothing special
I have to disagree with the other two reviews! This drama started out ok but really didnt develop a thing and went no where....The male lead is the OCD prince , but his OCD kinda disappears and it not really focused anymore . He is a little moody at times.
Female lead bandit soul swap with the prime minister daughter, thus beginning a funny encounter with the male lead and they go to school together.
The script is poorly written and there is not much interesting content, for the female lead she is trying to get by in her studies to make sure no on doubt who she is. Her soul swapping counter part becomes her maid The story become more complicated when the female lead is actually a princess from a defeated kingdom....
The prophecy of how if the prince falls in love with the defeated kingdom princess it will be his downfall.
The female lead ends up being depressed and sad and no longer quirky.
They dont develop the story of how they can swap their souls( maybe I just havent got there yet but its like ep 20 and it aint happen)
The romance seems very dull and no chemistry. I tried to give this drama a chance but its too boring!

A cliche high school drama about first love
Sorry I couln't stand it any more! This drama's genre is very similar because its basically the same type of school drama. Your female lead is a shy, naive. Male lead is the bad boy type , looks cool and cold but is warm at heart.Nothing about this drama wows me. Its pretty average to the characters and whats happening. It does flash backs from high school to the modern day, but the their modern day is like 2015 lol. The flashbacks and the switching back and forth doesnt do anything to add to the story. You can most definitive tell the male lead likes the female lead but at 14 episodes you still dont know why he mysteriously left and didnt contact anyone for like 5 years. During the school years the male lead likes to pick on the female lead.
I though it would be more cute, sweet puppy dog romance but its pretty slow. Female lead is very young (real age lol) when she dresses a little mature to represent the older self, its not very convincing. Maybe because its her first drama? Male lead on the other hand is younger than female lead , I feel like her can act better !Like him more than the female lead

Princess who have an identity disorder?
This drama wasn't very interested, i'm sorry! Storyline was kinda dull and slow and kinda weird. I mean some parts were funny and some parts didnt really add up.The female lead is a princess but she doesnt have much status due to her mom being sent to the cold palace ( aka when the concubine loses favor from the king).Despite her setbacks she is a very smart gal, who sells makeup and other stuff on the side to her her mother have a better life. She knows a little about medicine. The princess actually has a illness, which is basically have two identity. This other identity who lives inside of her is a wolf. The wolf knows how to kung fu and is able to protect Ling long when she is in trouble. The male lead is the 2nd son of the Yan family. He is arrogant, bold and loud but is really good at fighting/kung fu. The leads are always at each others throats. The male lead eventually falls in love with her. Together the stories are revolved around solving crimes that happen. The female lead slowly starts to fall in love with the male lead.
There are some other characters like the second female lead who is sassy, arrogant and kinda bitchy, She has a arranged marriage with the male lead. I couldn't make of her character because initally she was rude and bullying the female lead and then suddenly she changes her attitude.
The crimes solving honestly wasnt very interesting and didnt do much to make the story more interesting. The male lead exaggerated his character maybe too much... Also the story of the two idenitities didnt make the story more interesting. Like they tried to start to explain how she got her second personality but then its so slow to reveal! The romance is kinda a backburner romance. I mean they did have some kissing scenes like in the first couple ep but no feeling to it. Not much chemistry.

Dumbest female lead ever.....
Man i give up , too unbearable to watch. This drama is literally how many times can the female lead stab the male lead. Seriously this female lead has no brains whatsoever. She is so easily persuaded and manipulated. All she does is not trust the male lead and tries to kill him . Yet the male lead doesnt want to tell her anything and believes that by pushing her away thats the best. One is super physical the other no. communication. The storyline is all over the place. Beautiful music but twisted minds?
Miles Wei drama sign me up! plus the female lead actress is gorgeous but this story kinda flops for me.In some sense I really wanted to like the drama, if it were only about making music and forming a band but they had to add all this dark stuff of politics, mental illness, scheming. This drama is anything but light hearted.
Male lead is a famous musician ? also the son of leader of a city. He is portayed as flirt, slacking off, lazy. When he was young he got poisoned and from then on was deaf, but he hide this as his secret. He can't let anyone find out.
Female lead is trying to restore credentials so she can perform at the City leader's wife big performance and also become the top musician. Long story short the female lead becomes the male lead's ear and someone how he can only hear the sound of her drums.
The evil uncle tries to kill the male lead time after time but fails. The female lead sister is probably one of the annoyest character anf gave her so much screen time. There wasnt much consquences for what she had done and kept giving her the green light to be a villian up until the end. I get that she has a bad childhood and was scarred for being poor. She is schizophrenic and often sees an image of herself in the mirror telling her to best the first and eventually hurting/sabotaging her sister.
The leads romance is cute! Wish there was a little more . I dont like how the front credits already show all the kissing scenes, basically spoling it. I'm here for the romance and nothing more. The other parts are too cliche and dark....

I would be tired if i was the male lead .
this isnt a bad drama but its a tiring drama lol literally.The male lead is a security guard for the female lead corporation. His identity turns out to me something more than just a security. He saves the female lead time and time again.
I would summary this drama as the male lead trying to save the female lead in repeat, countless bad guys. Like literally from the beginning to the end is filled with bad guys trying to steal the female lead company info.
The male lead is almost fighting someone in every episode,
The leads have chemistry but its so late in the drama ,even their kisses are so late....
Seriously are there so many bad people after the technology she has? if she has such important technology they failed at the protecting it. They are always having security breaches , and lo and behold the male lead comes to the rescue.
The female lead is pretty much a vase in this drama, adds no worth. I was daydreaming for just a second that she could be this bad ass that kicks people butt when the male lead gets caught, haha nope! she just is a damsel in distress

STICK WITH S1!!! season 2... just mehhh
I have a different opinion than the ones who rate a 9 or 10 and say its really good fluffy rom com. There are definitely parts where its super funny and sweet.This drama is pretty predictable, the the plot being very choppy. This one really didnt have much of a storyline besides trying to get the pheromones perfume. Its basically the female lead chasing the male lead ( who didnt like her at first), then eventually falling in love, some sweet moments, seperation, third male lead trying to interrupt, memory loss for the female, male chasing the female, more seperation...
points i liked
1) The factor that the female lead is attracted to the male lead by the phermones and she collects them in her ring, which is cute :)
2) the two lead's relationship. they are a cute couple and have decent chemistry. Also like the 2nd leads, they are also super cute!
3) the songs were really good! love Bie's singing <3
things that were iffy
1) it was sorta cute that the female lead kept squeezing the male lead's chest muscles ( but at the same time isnt that like sexual harassment lol )
2) that they always split and come back

a love's game of tag , chasing the wrong person...
this drama didn't fail to meet my expectation but didn't wow me. This drama is a literally a chase between all the characters. Female lead's unrequited love for the male lead vice versa. The second leads love's chase/tag... ughhhhIm surprise that I finish all the episodes. Female lead has had a one sided crush for the male lead for 15 years. They were childhood friends but the male lead kinda forgot about her, but she never did. She basically observed him from when they were in school together to make it seem like they had a lot in common. The female lead has a deep love for the male lead, that she doesnt say, The whole drama is her one sided love, the things she faces and how there are others in the school who also has a crush on the male lead too. The male lead liked a girl from high school ( which that girl is the female lead) but he accidentally mistaken and thinks its the third female lead. They end up being together for like a year.
The third female lead is a xiao hua, aka pretty girl at school. The male lead slowly start to discover his love for the female lead but stopped because of what his ex girlfriend said to him...
I didnt like the male lead's ex gf. She is so annoying and always bothering him. Then comes the second pairing - female lead's best friend and this guy who is an asshole. The guy actually liked another girl before the female lead's best friend. The guy tries to get back with the previous girl and breaks up with the fl's best friend. But the girl he likes is too high maintenance and doesnt like him enough..... so the relationship is also one that is back and forth , like a game of chase or tag.
The male and female lead finally get together and then his father's company has problems! They end up separating again .... ridiculous. This drama is obviously not a smooth cute lovey dovey drama.
Hu bing qing acts very well for the female lead. a cold, smart, logistically character.
