Very nice but not the wuxia drama one will expect
One reason why this show got criticisms despite it's marvelous plot is that they promote this to be a drama with lots of martial arts. I mean, people have different likes. There are people whose only after the fight scenes. So when they watch this, they're like -wtf little to no fight scenes. The martial artist just stands there then boogsh. Its focused more on the political stuffs and schemes. Safe to say more similar to Nirvana in Fire than Word of Honor. You get what I mean haha.Well for me, I give importance to plot. The fight scenes just adds color. This made me love this series so much. There are also a bit of humour.
What I don't like though is the acting of Jiang Ni. Very weird especially in the first episode. Like she's forced to be funny but it's not. She's okay at the later episode though.

It is actually very nice. Not what I expected from the reviews.
Eyyy just wanna recommend "No Boundary". I wonder why the dramalist review said that the story is messy. Like I delayed watching this because of the reviews. It is really really really nice* FL and ML is strong. No females are damsel in distress (sorry i dont like this trope especially for the leads)
* the story started with solving cases which is engaging.
* Minimal draggy scenes. Forgivable.
* The plot is really really nice as a whole ??. Though it has illogical storyline and loopholes.
*Some characters are complex.
I was only confuse with Wengu's character at the middle of watching and he is the weirdest one. Like his decision and way of thinking just doesn't makes sense at the middle eps. Maybe bec he is a demon and he thinks differently?
But the write ups isn't as bad as the ratings. For me.
Also the FL isn't familiar/popular but she did justice to the role. She is badass and amazing ? The actress for Hongluan btw is from Ashes of love. But in this drama, she is good. I even cried for her.

A bit of spoiler alertIts overall nice. I cried in the Qingmu and Houchi arc. They did nothing wrong but their story is very tragic. I somewhat hate Bai Jue in here but the reasons were explained in future eps so thats not considered a plothole. Thank God. First few episodes are boring. Bai Jue fall in love with Shanggu too quickly thinking that he was the distant handsome guy trope hahaha. I love Shanggu but her hairstyle in the latter eps doesnt really looks nice. I mean, there's room for improvement. Houchi and Bai Jue's son really has a nice attitude. Love him ahahah.
I love the cgi nd vfx! Very surreal.
Its nice all in all.

Sorry im honestly biased with this review because I like Math and was really very amaze how the probability of rock paper scissors was explained here. Like, wow!! It is rare to find drama that incorporate such script. It open my mind that rock paper scissors can be played that way (Ehhe thanks to rewind feauture of netflix. I wont understand this whole thing when watched continously). ( I suck in probability so I hope I had even 10% or 20% of Kai Si`s intelligence. That will help me a lot I swear)Ahha sorry I dont care about the other flaws of this movie except for the the part wherein the clown is killing aliens like huh?? It look gross and it is frustrating. I understand it symbolize the stress the main character is going through but it actually made the movie worse.

Started promising. Ended meh
It started promising. Like the costume, and intro was good. But then as the story progress, the chemistry between leads are somewhat lost? Also dont judge me please but I think there is something lacking about the female lead, the male lead became not stoic too quickly and um "im not sure about this" ah but I think they change feng wu`s personality. Based on my glimpse, feng wu in the novel is supposed to have a somewhat reserved and quiet personality and she is supposed to be a very bright student which was not really emphasized in the drama. It is hard to explain what is lacking because I havent read the whole novel. Cant make an accurate comparison. Or Probably, the phasing was too quick and a lot of parts were too implied that when viewers havent read the novel, they will really get confused with the plot. Very good. But can be better
This drama is almost perfect- from visuals, cast, acting, story. What I dont like in this drama is that they give too much emphasis to Yu Si Feng. What I mean is that they make the side characters too dumb especially those seniors of the sect. Like isn`t it obvious that though si feng is a demon, he meant no harm? Well that is my only complaint. Everything else is okay. The best part of the story in this drama for me is the revelation of who really is Rahu Ketu. Very unexpected. Love the plot twist. Second favourite part of the drama is when si feng got a view of his previous nine lives. Aww cried a lot. Want someone like him ahahha.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Honestly I love the visuals, effects, and hair style of Yang Mi more than the story itself ahahaha. I mean, the story is good, but then I have watched better dramas or known stories that will rip your heart more so yeah (BL stories). Also, I ship Bai Qian and Mo Yuan more than Ye Hua because I think Mo Yuan is more capable of protecting amd more matured. Plus his personality is cute wahahha. Shy type. (respect)Everyone did a good job though. Love all of them.
Another strong point of this drama is that Side stories dont overcome the main story while at the same time, the side story is anticipating to watch.
Music was very pleasing to the ears.
Totally worth watching.

Sorry. Not my cup of tea. Really.
Idk but I find this very overrated. I think its because Yang2x and Lusi are famous that's why this became a hit. Otherwise its ...1. Ok so here are reasons why I dropped it.
Lusi is pretty good at comedy. I also love her as princess Leyan but not here. I just can't vibe with her character. Like acting is okay but she doesn't have the "aura" I'm looking for in a strong badass FL. Some examples of FL with this so-called aura is YangMi, Li Qin, Zhao LiYing. Dilireba and Rachel Wang is also not bad. I hope you get what I mean.
2. Fight scenes are not engaging. They're just edited with no physical combat. Sword snow even did better even if it has also minimal physical combat. It would be better if the fight scenes where somewhere like Heroes or better if similar to Princess Agents.
3. The cloth swishing is so weirdd. Yeah this is a petty reason but it really bothers me.
4. Lusi's ponytail too high. But still pretty.
Nevertheless I still love it's OSTs and Posters. I also love YangYang. I love Lusi too but not here. Sorry.
