For people who don't want less-story-more-cuteness, I'd highly recommend you to pass by. But for people who want a "cheerful-day-out" give it a one time watch. :)
If I'm asked to vote for the best version, I'd definitely vote for the Japanese one as it had all the elements to satisfy me.
I was in a very bad mood when I started this drama and to make it a little better I gave it a try. Otherwise I was never planning on watching TTBY ever! Because it made me smile when I desperately wanted to, I rate it a good drama.
The story wasn't too much of a hype because if you've watched the other two versions, you're bound to know "what-is-what" and "how-it-is-going-to-be-like" and also you know a lot about the characters already.
Acting? Lee Hyun Woo. Cutest performance as Cha Eun Gyeol :) He is the one that set my mood to watch TTBY! MinHo and Sulli were just fine. For me they didn't really work out that well. A special mention to Ha Seung Ri Sunbae and Seol Ha Na's "laugh-attitude" relation.
Music? I used to put all my attention to Onew's "In Your Eyes". His voice just made the scene look the way it should! Also J-Min's "Stand Up" is a quirky song that suited well for ending credits.
Rewatch Value? Oh well, I'd rather rewatch "Hana Kimi" than the other two versions. I give it a decent rewatch thought as there are not many memorable scenes that made me go gaga in my head. But who knows, I might stumble back upon only a few moments because of Lee Hyun Woo. :P

Overall it was good. But draggy and sloppy at times. For me it was just one time watch. P.S - Jung Il Woo fans would watch it over and over again as his acting was fine as heaven. Plus, the story's great too! :)

The story was a typical one, I feel. Its a true fact that girls ultimately fall in love with the bad guys and the bad guys are bad on the outside but really warm and lovable from the heart. That is the basis of the story, and for me its nothing new. What new was and is still going strong among drama addicts, is the Mike He and Rainie Yang pairing and the supposed "brother-sister" relation. That was the dangerous element everywhere through out the drama when they realized their love knowing that their parents were in a relationship and if the parents got married, they'd probably become "Siblings in Love". And due to this pairing, the Taiwanese teased us with "Why Why love!". :P
The music by Rainie Yang - "Ai mei" is a sweet song and also its Piano version switches on this kind of electricity in your body when it plays through a scene! It has been one year since I watched it and some times I found myself landing upon all the interesting scenes in this drama. So my re-watch value keeps flickering. I did not quite like the acting of Tsai Pei Lin as Qing Zi. Instead, Fan Ivy (Li Xiang) was amazing as a supporting role.
Overall, its good. I watched it to study more about Taiwanese dramas, looking at the rank this drama had on the drama sites. You'll be touched by Ah Mon's heart as he slowly is shown through the drama. :)

Re watch Value's high because I really like the Comedy-more, Romance-medium genre.
Overall, the story's not so high notched but its definitely not the end of the world if you watch it ;)
P.S - Wanna have a laugh, go watch it, lighten your heart. It'll make you smile! :)

Overall, the drama has done excellent due to the cast. Even though the story is somewhat fussy, what makes you watch till the last episode is the acting and the comedy! Yoon Shi Yoon has done an incredible job by feeling his character and portraying it amazingly. The "Ajumma!!!" call out was a bliss! His acting is the best part. The second lead is quite good too doing all the serious and comedy scene side by side. Dong Hoon, is tall with right amount of height and style statement. And well Watanabe Sir is a great cook by which people in the neighborhood got along.
Coming to Park Shin Hye, I have always liked her. Apart from her child actor roles, she's been doing this cheerful roles but in this she comes out very differently by acting like a girl who is traumatized by her past and is scared to face the world. Doing the right amount of actions, the actress surely challenges her profession.
The comical acting of the cast makes this serial light and fun loving. Atleast watch it once. Because its medium. Not that serious, not that funny. Just medium, meaning a safe journey.

Favourite OST has to be Hong Dae Kwang's - It Shows and Dear Cloud's - I Remember You (this song will give you the jerks, literally!). I don't usually re-watch dramas as such but because this will probably continue to be the best drama in summer 2015, I'd rewatch it anytime I'd feel like. But what's true is that this is definitely worth a rewatch. This drama, is a keeper. Trust me.

If you are still reading upto this point, I'd like to be very honest and say that this is the FIRST time I started a drama that stars Seo In Guk, Jung Nara and Lee Chun Hee. And I'm proud to say that all three of these actors/actress have gained one new fan. In fact, after watching this, I started watching dramas that starred Seo In Guk! This drama gave me a sudden boost to do so! Park Go Bum is someone I'm happy to have come across as I'd like to support him in his career and cheer him on for main leads.

The story at first seemed like a normal love triangle but the development of characters was really nice. I know, this is a fictional plot of Empress Ki's lifestory and I don't think its written that worse. The cleverness of the writers about Ha Ji Won's character is just fantastic and the political plot of the drama is not too bad, by putting in the betrayal/non-betrayal portion a lot.
Acting and Cast, as everyone applauds loudly to, was amazing and I actually had to give Ji Chang Wook's character and acting a bow when I finished the whole series (Last Episode, blew me off. It was so over the edge emotional and touching, that I was crying the whole midnight!). Actually, I also appreciated the acting by Baek Jin Hee. Though, I loved to hate Jung Woong In's character ( his acting in "I Hear Your Voice" has still not washed down on me yet ).
I loved the Original Soundtrack too, and I was just in the mood for some Historical themed genre (second reason why I gave this drama a "never turn back" go!).
Re-watch Value is 3 for me because all the plot's been revealed and the curtains have been lifted off the suspense now and maybe because re-watching 51 episodes again will wipe out my Internet bytes, but I do watch some clips that I miss from the drama and believe me, such clips are many!! Also, if I stumble upon it years and years later, probably when I'll forget the plot almost completely and I'll have unlimited Internet bytes, I'd definitely watch it again.
Overall, it was a good drama and I'm missing it as much as I'm happy I watched it and not just let it be there sitting on my Plan To Watch List. Enjoy! :)
