I've tried my best for 12 episodes. I'm really sorry for the actors in this series, they tried their best. How is this level if writing even got the passed to be made into a series, total waste of money. Was the writers drunk? or was it written by a 6 yo? The story was so consistently bad from the beginning. Main Characters were shallow, unlikable, undeveloped. Not even a single character was properly written. The storyline is crap. Watch this drama, if your purpose is only to see the actor's pretty faces, there're plenty of beautiful people in it. I'm dropping it, and really regret wasting my time on the 12 episodes I've watched.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

The Devil is actually the victim
This is one drama that have all the characters are evil. All of them are abusive, vindictive, manipulative and cold to the ML. Everyone contributed in creating the "Devil". ML was deemed a monster since birth, just because his mother died during childbirth. And growing up in a very harsh environment, surrounded by very cruel people. No one had ever showed him sincere care and love. So how can he understand love if he never experienced it? All ML do was trying to survive using his logic, the logic of a person that knows only suffering, cruelty and pain.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

One of the best idol drama of 2024
At last 2024 put out a good idol fantasy Drama... The story is interesting, the pace is really good, great acting from all the actors, and most importantly good characters writing. So far I've watched half way through all the episodes, and haven't stump on one boring episode. Thoroughly enjoying each episode. Truly recommended. Please give it a try... I've read the novel many months ago, and this drama is a rare good adaption, kudos to the writer ?Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
inconsistent + poor writing
as expected from Ji Sung, his acting never disappoint, top notch. Kim Min Jeong is also amazing and showed the same level acting as Ji Sung. The interaction between their character really captivating. The concept of the story is actually intriguing with a good dose of mystery and suspense added in it. Unfortunately not executed very well by the writer. The writing of the character is inconsistent. Especially the character Ga On, who supposed to be a smart capable judge. Why the writer decide to write Ga On character as a fool? He is a judge, how can a judge make assumptions and bluntly believe a hearsay (from the crazy secretary that he doesn't even know well) without any evidence or thorough investigation? The writing is not intended to make a good story. Clearly the intention is to stir up as much emotion from the audience and make money. To me, it's watchable only because of Ji Sung & Kim Min Jeong acting. I'll just skip other scenesVond je deze recentie nuttig?

the writing of this drama is so so bad.... Obviously it's only relying on selling romantic slow motion scenes between main couple. Story wise, it's just a mess, unnecessarily drag the storyline just to make the drama longer, characters written so inconsistent. Financial journalist, acting so clueless and made very stupid choices all through the episodes. FL and her friends were all like high schoolers with googly eyes trying too hard to act as an adult. Why can't writers just write a normal independent modern woman that knows what they want and mature enough to make their own choices. disappointed
I really like Seo Yea Ji in IOTNBO, so I really excited for her next drama. Especially having Park Byeoung Eun as the ML, acting wise it's a sure guarantee that it's gonna be good. I had high expectations. But after watching 6 episodes, I'm really disappointed. The acting were great, all the actors/actresses were really good, but I don't enjoy watching it. I don't know if the director intended to film it this way, or if it's the editing problem, I just can't stand all the unnecessary extremely slow motion and blurry scenes, especially during the steamy scenes and scenes that focused solely to capture SYJ's impeccable beauty. I get that she's very very beautiful, but please enough with the blurry very extreme slow motion. Already watched 6 episodes so far, still going no where, not much story development, a lot was still in wraps. With this kind of storyline, either it's gonna have second season or it's gonna have a very rushed finish in a few last episodes. just another costume drama
I've tried my best to finish this drama to no avail. I gave up after 12 episodes. The cast's acting are actually quite good, especially the two female lead. They have a good chemistry. But a good acting is not enough to carry a drama. The script is not well written. I think the costumes and the styling a bit weird. Storyline a bit draggy and boring. And lots of the character's logic and actions, i'm sorry, are just simply stupid and illogical.This is just another c-drama that captivate the audience with the exceptionally beautiful faces of the main cast and their love story. I'm really tired of these FLs with inadequate brain cells. For a person who lived for 3000 years, she's as stupid as a rock. Having to lived for so long, how can she's not able to have a bit of wisdom? just a tiny bit would suffice. Why does Chinese writer love these dumb FL? To made it worse, they cast YCY, she's never been good in acting, just pouting most of the time, and open her eyes as big as possible. She does this in this one too. Aiyaa... I feel so bad for Ryan Ding, his performance is good, but an actor can't carry the whole drama by him self. I hope he can get better project in the future, with better script and better partner.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Female Lead is OOC
Female Lead is supposed to be an Anti Terrorist Senior Officer. But, based on the episodes I've watched, all her actions were just careless, irrational and stupid. All she did was being reckless and putting everyone around her at risk. Is that how SOU acted during a crisis? I don't want to live in a country with SOU like that for sure. This alone, makes me don't want to continue watching. She is the focus of the drama, she should be written well. Male Lead however, is written very well, acted careful and smart. Another character, Mr. Han, is also very well portrayed by the actor. DROPPED!!!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
well paced, good story, beautiful acting
This drama just recently caught my eyes, and immediately I'm hooked. Watched all episodes 1 to 6 in a day. Don't know how to put it, is it a love story? a mystery/thriller? But one thing for sure, so far, everything are just beautifully done. The story, the paced, the characters. There's a good mix of things that make it kinda special. The characters have a good backstory that really can justify the way they response in each situation, something that a lot of drama don't have. Hopefully the writer and director can maintain the quality of this drama till the very end. Based on 6 episodes that I've watched, this is a really good drama. Oh.. and the reason i'm giving this only an 8, is because it only has 6 episodes aired when i write this review. Looking forward for new episodes to air.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Another Disappointment
I thought I'd give this series another try, hoping that the team would do a better job this time. Episode 1 & 2 got me quite excited. I dropped this series after Episode 3. What's wrong with writers these days... Please don't insult your viewer intelligence time and times again. Would any sane person willing to make an appointment with an unknown sadistic serial killer in a desolate place without bringing any kind of weapon or camera to take footage for evidence? Also the said police that tailing them, where were they? Or does the writer thinks that South Korea have such an incompetent police department? Really writer? Really?Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Drop after 5 episode
Overall after 5 episodes I found the plot is quite interesting, it's good with hiw the flow of the story goes. I also really like how the second FL written, really smart and calculating. What make me drop this drama is the FL, why her character written so bad. She's supposed to be a person that grow up in the palace or at least very close to the palace, educated to become a guardian with the purpose solely to protect the emperor. But.. FL in these 5 episodes I watched so far, was a very spoiled sheltered girl that doesn't have any basic understanding of what's going on in the palace, like how to behave as an official, who's who in the palace, hell.. she doesn't even know who's the real boss in the palace.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Bad Bad Writing
It's a bunch of high schooler pretending to be treasure hunters/archeologist. If you're willing to lower your logic as low as possible, then it's watchable. If you can't, then don't waste your time. All the characters action and logic are inconsistent to their supposed "jobs". Well, another good reason to watch this series is, if you want to have a good laugh watching all the moronic behavior of the characters. That's all I can say, and this will be the last "Lost Tomb" series I'll be watching. If you like this kind of genre, "Candle in The Tomb" is a much better option.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Over the top characters
I understand that it's supposed to be an adaptation from some comics.. But a good adaptation must have some adjustments to be a good drama, it's a drama afterall not a comic book. I've watched other adaptations, not one as bad as this. The main characters were so over the top cringy. It's like watching 10 yos wearing adult body and playing roles. The show was trying too hard to be funny, well it's not. Every scene that were supposed to be funny, just felt cringy and sad. 2 episodes was enough for me to drop this.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

The writing is bad! The drama only focused on creating drama and more drama, without any regards of the characters personality and development. Although I really like the main actors, I can't continue watching because of the poor writing. This drama has the worst FL. As a mother she's never there for her daughter, and she's even worst as a wife. As an absent mother, she desperately holding on to her daughter, without caring about how her actions hurt her daughter. As an absent wife, she demand her husband to be as loyal as a dog and accommodate her every needs. She also cheat on her husband emotionally ( cheating is cheating, wether emotionally or physically ). And despite all of that, the drama portray FL as a victim, the purest, most pitiful angel. FL is supposed to be a very well accomplished person, smart, successful, resourceful, and yet she doesn't show any bit of rational or logical thinking in any of her actions.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
