I MISJUDGED THIS SO BAD
First of all: I think the title, trailer and synopsis of the series lead people to misunderstand what the series is about. It's more about coping with trauma and having someone help you heal than about them being friends with Benefits.When I watched the first episode I the first time I fully stopped watching because of their first time since Uea was drunk and I thought this bl was just gonna be like others, I thought they'd just ignore the fact that it was a relation without consent (since drunk people CAN'T give any form of consent). HOWEVER after a couple months I went back to watch it because I saw a lot of people saying how good the series is, and I finished it in roughly 2 days, so here's a list to why this series was so amazing for me and thing I think they did REALLY well (slight spoilers ahead, nothing that I think it's major):
- Uea feeling guilty about their first night (since he was drunk and was thinking that he should've controlled himself when it happened) and King telling him that it wasn't his fault.
- (this refers more from the middle to end of the series, after King's character development) EVERY time King reassured Uea with words and respected his time and decisions, not asking why Uea didn't feel comfortable in certain situations. Also loved every time time King made sure to let Uea know that if he doesn't want/feel comfortable in trying some things he's fine with it and it's okay, cuz it was really important for Uea to not feel pressured to accept things.
- Depict how trauma always affects us. I think Uea's trauma with sa was really well depicted, specially when he was sometimes triggered by King's actions. It didn't matter that he trusted King, people with sa traumas can be triggered by anyone, even if it is their lover, best friend or family.
Now some things that I disliked:
- Every time they communicated like shit, since up to this point they always seemed to try and communicate.
Final Note: Loved how after they start dating we didn't have NSFW scenes as graphic as when they were just friends with benefits, that goes to show that now it is a meaningful and private thing between the couple and not just something periodic that they were doing just because.

Comfort.
I love this. First and Khaotung are such an amazing pair and the whole Suppalo situation is really good. I love the OST too, it's so good and relaxing to hear. There's not much to say, I just really love this, and I love the way they wrote Akk's character so you can really feel like he's trying to find comfot and acceptance in his sexuality and the fact that Aye realizes it and doesn't rush things is just comforting to watch.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

I don't even know what to say
I mean, the rich boy has daddy issues and is dumb and the poor boy doesn't have parents and is a really good student, four clichès in one. I love Perths acting, it really reminds me of Khaotung, but Chimon on the other hand starts to feel forced at some point, like he didn't want to be there. They're chemistry is fine, but again Chimon's acting feels forced. I feel like this could have more potential.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

BEST BL I'VE WATCHED
I love this. Jimmy and Sea's acting was so perfect, and the whole cast is amazing. Also, why is Mark everywhere? I love the story and the chemistry but I gotta admit, the last 2 episodes were kinda desappointing, I feel like Day and Mhock would've talked more instead of just breaking up and completely breaking they're connection after all they had been through together. After the timeskip I only have like, one question, we saw Mhock doing the check in at the aeroport and when Night asked if anyone lost the flight he was told that no one lost it, so how was Mhock at the wedding place? Anyway It was really cute and I was hopping me would get Mlock and Day getting married cuz I'm sure they'd slay the outfis.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Jay's the best
Watched almost 10 episodes of this just because of ZeeNunew and NuerSyn but I got tired, this relationships just look so toxic, like Nuea doesn't even feel safe to tell his lover about his interests. And it also looks like these people can't kiss without having sex, like chill bro the world ain't ending. Anyways I've watched worse things so... Cute but wtf happened to my boy Aye? Akk telling him how he feels unhappy and he tells him to stfu cuz he can't resist when he's angry (?) My boy Aye would never do that when his lover is trying to simply COMMUNICATE. It's simple, Aye would listen to Akk and comfort him. Nhe I don't like it
When I first watched I thought it was really good, now that I think of it, it's not that good. It's just one deceiving the other. I get that it was supposed to show how hard it can be for a person to accept themselves when they're in the LGBTQ+ community, but jesus Christ where's the fucking communication? If I was Oh-aew I'd NEVER go back to Teh, specially after the scene where they were pretty much almost fucking and Teh just got out of the room they were in. Ai Di and Chen Yi have my heart
I'm obcessed with Ai Di. He's amazing. Both couples have great chemistry (specially Ai Do and Chen Yi). Cried a lot with this show and Zong Yi is a cutie for the Strawberry Day. I love them and need more NatLouies series.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

I don't know how they came up with such an amazing show, but they did. I thought I wouldn't like cause it just looked so cliché but this is amazing. HEAR ME OUT
This might be a little biased BUT for the way people talked about their acting I thought it was gonna be trash and awful to watch. It was actually kinda good considering that they're NOT professional actors. I love how they depict the guilt of lgbt love and how the industry works. People need to understand that lots of things that happen (mostly in bg) is just fanservice. I'm not saying it's all the groups but some of them are. There's also that thing in the kpop or bl industry where it's okay to act gay but BEING gay is considered wrong, as if it should be hidden. I'd honestly say that KB did an amazing job cuz I was getting pissed at his character. I really liked it and was invested to find out what had really happened between Hyubin and Jihoon. Yes, it was rushed and I almost had a heart attack thinking they'd be separated but overall it was kinda good. Also if you like ooo I'd recommend it, just to support our boys, cuz even tho the show isn't one of the bests I really think this type of stories are important to be depicted.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

The main couple is perfect, no flaws at all BounPrem did an amazing job. HOWEVER I didn't really pay attention to the secondary couples, only Bee and Prince. This is so cute
I never thought I'd love to watch gays playing basketball this much. Dong Wook is so fucking handsome. If I were Dong Hyun I'd be head over heels for him too. I absolutely love the simple storyline and the flashbacks. While watching the flashbacks I created so many theories about their past so I really loved it and it kept me a lot more entertained to know what had happened between them. The female lead is the exact type of annoying person that I hate but I'm glad she was annoying like that, we gotta admit that if she wasn't that annoying they wouldn't be together.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

I cried. I loved them. The ending feels a bit rushed but hear me out it wasn't. If u understand both Hiro and Kai properly it makes a lot of sense even if it feels rushed. The main acting was good but the kids acting on the flashbacks just wasn't it. But I won't judge that much cause the kids were really well casted so the acting wasn't bothering me much since they're just kids. Overall I love how sweet and lovable this is, I love their romance and how things flow.
