Great heroine, she's really good-hearted and has a quiet strength about her that I think Halu really needs. I love the supporting characters, esp Yamato, the adorable dumb jock who's trying to win over the girl he likes even though she's only into him because she thinks he's rich. I'm very happy with this show so far, and can only hope it gets better and better.

Autumn's Concerto Episode 5

I would have actually liked to SEE them falling in love before we're served the main course. Damn those K-dramas that kill you with sexual tension for several episodes before bringing the leads together. I usually hate when you have to wait 10+ episodes for what usually turns out to be a mediocre kiss in k-dramas, but in AC everything happens lightning fast. Ideally I'd like to see some middle ground.
Anyway, that aside this episode was great! This show seems to be getting better and better with each episode. I hope it continues the trend!

Giang Xi ... this character is so mercurial he's starting to come across a little psychopathic. He's not a very well crafted character, I feel. His character, and indeed this entire episode, is suffering from bad writing. I don't think the writers handled the aftermath of Giang Xi's surgery very well.
It would have been better, I feel, if they'd SHOWN us the events that took place after Giang Xi woke up from surgery and then roll 6 yrs in the future. Instead they jump 6 years ahead and then have secondary characters TELL us what happened in the last 6 years. All the flashbacks and telling just made everything seem jumbled and uninteresting. It didn't work for me & it's the most basic of mistakes any writer can make. The # 1 rule in writing 101 is SHOW, dont TELL, and film especially is a visual medium.
I also find myself liking Tuo Ye a lot more than Giang Xi. This of course is due to very poor character development. This never happens to me! I mean NEVER. I've never been in a situation where I thought the second male lead, no matter how great he is, was more suitable for our heroine than the leading male. But in AC I really think he is. Tuo Ye has loved Mu Cheng from day one -- I'm a sucker for guys/characters like this (he reminds me of Do Jin in A Gentleman's Dignity). He's sweet, he's gentle, he's cute, he takes care of her, he protects her, he watches over her, he provides for her ... AND most importantly he loves her kid. He's just what she needs: stable, he doesn't slip in and out of character (one minute hot, another minute cold like Giang Xi) kind ... overall just a very great guy.
I didn't care for the scenes with Yi Qian and Giang Xi. Not when Mu Cheng is getting old, letting a good man pass her by while she pines over Giang Xi.
Anyway, not everything is bad about Giang Xi. I wasn't attracted to him on sight like I was to Halu in Pride, but if you show me some skin I'm gonna look! That shower scene was some proper eye candy! Not gonna lie ...

This episode kept me guessing right up to the last 5 minutes or so about what would become of Halu and Aki. I thought I was gonna have a coronary. Was it really necessary to put viewers through all that stress? I'm not convinced. I'm happy Halu made it big, he deserved it, but I wish things had played out differently.
All in all, though, I'm content, if not totally happy, with how everything went. I'm off to write my review and it's gonna be very good.

I don't really care for Hæ Lin, but I felt a little bad for her in that bedroom scene. Just goes to show that money can't buy you everything.
Now as for our leading couple, lord have mercy ... Tæ Joo is super hot. But the way he pounced on her?! What's up with Asian men and their pouncing on a woman like that? Passionate, but perhaps a bit too much. Western viewers who are not used to seeing this sh-- can misconstrue events.
Anyway, now that the hat's outta bag I hope things don't get more twisted & screwed up!!!

As a side note, now that what's her face has expired, I hope something happens between Doctor's Son & that little girl from the drugstore! Will I get my wish or will I not? Guess I need to keep watching to find out!

Loving You a Thousand Times Episode 30

So Seon Young finally found out about that dog Sae Hun! I love how she's dealing with it so far. But I want Sae Hun to know she knows ... I want to see him hurt & hurt real bad for what he's done.
How could he do this Seon Young. Seon Young who has shown him nothing but love?
OMFG, that Yoean Hee has no shame! She's satisfied being Sae Hun's weekend bitch. What a woman! I hope Seon Young kills the two of them.
On a lighter note I'm loving a thousand times the way Kang Ho loves Eun Nim. I love that Kang Ho is his own man. He's strong willed & doesn't allow those blasted elders to dictate his life. He doesn't stand for their mistreatment of his wife and I absolutely love him for it.
Having said that this shit with Sae Hun is like a cloud over my enjoyment of their happiness because there was a time when Sae Hun was just as loving & protective of Seon Young ... but look at them now. Aigoo...
Things are heating up with Chul & Nan Jung. I have a sneaking suspicion this girl is pregnant. I'm glad though that Chul is giving her the cold shoulder after she was such a complete bitch toward him. She doesn't deserve such a good guy like Chul.
Overall this was a very exciting episode. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Anyway, I liked the chance meeting of the leads at the end. It was really nice. They provided encouragement for each other when they really needed it most. I'm not much of sports fan outside of European football and maybe a little cricket ... but I like romantic sports dramas. To me incorporating competitive sports heightens the overall drama because conflict occurs both within and outside the game. Curious to see how this will progress.

I like that Boong Don feels torn between the two worlds. It's realistic. Jesoen is all he knows and aside from Hui Jin he has no one in the modern world. It would weigh heavily on me too. I'm extremely ... extremely glad though that he decided to stay. He and Hui Jin should not be a part!
Having said that I can't rest easy! I have a premonition that something bad's about to happen. I don't like it at all!

Boong Do suffers a serious injury and has lost his short term memory. The talisman is now in the hands of the enemy and everything's turned upside down. Damn, this was a really great episode! Had me so on the edge of my seat especially the ending. I'm dying to know how Boong Do is going to solve this dilemma he's found himself in. What about Hue Jin, how will she react to these new circumstances now that the seeds of love have been planted? So many questions! Off to find the answers in the next episodes ... boy, they better be good!
