Jung Yup is unlike the usual "heroes" in a story like this, he was sloppy, he was worried about his own life, at 1st he didn't think about the kids but just his job, so that kinda gave it a nice approach. he wasn't a hotshot smart capable lawyer everyone listened to.
he was so sloppy he was the easiest adult the kids could approach ;(

everyone thinks "it's non of my business" or "someone else will interfere" and honestly that's the most heartbreaking part ;(
I thought if child services got involved they'd have the full authority to take the kids away from abusive parents.. if neighbors don't talk, if cops can't arrest abusers, if there's no punishment by law, then who protects those kids!
at the end of the movie they wrote "usually they get off with a warning or a fine", so unless kids DIE, NO ONE helps them!

and honestly only 16 years.. how was that ruled accidental death? it wasn't planned murder, but an adult hitting a 6 year old that severely is a murderer!

if dabinie was younger she'd have died too, her parents were worst than serial killers.. I'm glad they didn't charge Jung Yup with kidnapping ;(
it makes you wonder though, they found evidence, they got lucky, but what if they couldn't prove it? "she's lying", "there's no eyewitnesses", or even worse if the parents were rich or with a psychopathic lawyer, they'd have walked free..

I wish they showed the neighbors stepping in, or anything to say those people were responsible too. sure cops wouldn't do anything, but atleast just call...

what a cruel world we live in.. even if we see parents spanking their kids in public or yell at them we think "it's their kid, we can't do anything"

when I read the synopsis, and saw how her brother was supposedly a "ill-mannered" kid, I thought the sister was going to kill him so the step mom stops getting angry, tbh that'd have been scarier/more heartbreaking.
so even if this was based on a true story, it has been done before but it still made me cry. the directing though felt off.

I wonder what happened though, was she adopted by the lawyer? by his sister? or was she in an orphanage?

oh yeah, Jang Ho was such a charming little boy and a total scene stealer. he looked like any other happy kid but he was really caring, he worried for dabin and he was a big help in everything! such a precious baby!

I watched this as part of my yooteo week and I have to say I had zero expectations but I was so pleasantly surprised, I'm not sure if they were supposedly highschoolers or college kids though, because if it was the 1st then non of them looked their age and that makes things super awkward xD

the story revolves around a camp made for koreans who grew up outside of korea so they could learn about their heritage and so at the start we just had a bunch of rebels who wanted to party and have fun, ie they were nothing like what "normal" korean kids were.

they wore weird clothes, they talked weird, they didn't respect the rules but as the story went by it was like layer after layer of emotional revelations and honestly the bonds and friendships that came out of this was so pure I kinda wish they made a drama out of this.

for "koreans" the kids were weird, but for those kids they had to adapt to their new homes to survive those cultures and now they were thrown back to yet another culture they didn't understand but the catch was this one is their supposed "real" home

I actually laughed several times and I teared up a few times too overall I think for relatively "unknown" actors and actresses they did really well

I never rewatch stuff and they used several 80s classics so the ost was nice too

this was kinda a mix of My Fellow Citizens and Liar Liar. the 1st half of the story was slightly boring and the overall plot was basic, but their comedy sense was gold and they got a brownie point when they showed "Ju Sang Suk" being brutally honest doesn't mean she's a heartless person, that tub scene was both sweet and hilarious xD

speaking of Ra Mi Ran she was basically the heart and soul of this I can't imagine a better actress that could've pulled both a heartless sweet and hilarious personality.
I've never seen Kim Mu Yeol in a comedic role before and he also did a great job, plus the son was a nice character too.

the music is basic, and I never rewatch stuff though I would recommend it to people who look for a fun easy watch

I'm really not used to jdrama formats, and faces, so it took me a while to invested in this. by eps4 or 5 I realized that this is more than just "Kokoro Kurosawa changing her life's path and going through a new foreign one"..

usually in kdramas they'd focus on the main lead and the romance, so this was a nice fresh outlook. it was about more than just Kokoro Kurosawa and the mains, it was about more than just one mangaka and yet it was not episodic.

Kokoro Kurosawa is the only bright bubbly character that's acceptable! she was a ray of sunshine, a force to be reckoned with, she set her goals and worked hard to achieve them, she was clueless but she was not afraid to ask for help and though her coworkers started off rough around the edges they soon became her colleagues she could depend on while they also admired and acknowledged her presence.
I honestly think a kdrama can never achieve this..
also, I adore her, but her outfits were so awful! they were like an old kindergarten teacher's outfits xD also the guys' hairs were a disaster xD

Iokibe Kei was cold but he was a great character and a great mentor and I shipped him with the restaurant owner xD. Koizumi Jun;s growth was so admirable and he matched so well with Kokoro Kurosawa, tbh the only acceptable partner for a cute sunshine should be a cute sunshine and not the cold jerk xD

I found the stories and their connections really heartwarming and well made, but the delivery kinda felt lacking. they had too many character and too little time, tbh I want a 2nd season ;(

p.s I never rewatch stuff, and I don't think jdrama OSTs are as extravagant as kdramas..

sure the plot is not extraordinary, but they did really well with what they got. the writers knew what they wanted to say and they didn't just throw in one random event after another like the usual "corruption" movies.
Lee Chan Woo was a really interesting male lead, he had a nice backstory of working his way from an uneducated bouncer till he became a ceo(?), and that kinda gave more depth to him. it was also interesting to see yet another side of Park Hae Soo "the actor".
Sung Eun Young was a beautiful smart independent elegant character~ again they gave her a nice backstory to build up the character's actions and I just love when writers/directors actually use the female lead as something more than just a side kick, and Seo Ye Ji is just so beautiful and a great actress (and the reason I watched this)~

I also loved the side characters Kim Sang Soo and Kim Kwan Chul were such SRS..

basically after LCW opened his club he only wanted to live as a happy honest business owner but his righteousness involves him in a big mess that turns into another mess which in turn ends up making a big pile of events, and the movie had a nice pace revolving around this.

I kinda want to compare this to prison playbook or live, not in plot or quality, but like it was a nice outlook to the usual crime/corruptions and the pace was nice too.

also, the cinematography was so pretty, they had this nice purplish undertone how could I not love it~
sometimes I just need movies like this that are not too complicated or too dark but it was not comedic, just fun..
the romance was barely nonexistent but it was such a sweet touch, I kinda shipped them, alot~

I rarely rewatch anything so my values are either a 1 or 10, though this was fun enough for another rewatch~

pre big mouse

1st off I'll say this only "worked" cuz of the actors, mainly lee jong suk. I am a LJS fan, I adore the dude but I'm unbiased when I say his acting improved so much and he carried this on his own
unlike Eve tho where SYJ and the ridiculous makjang were entertaining, this got boring after ep7ish

for acting and character I'll rate them as such

Lee Jong Suk(Park Chang Ho): 10/10, legit carried the show, went from UWU to believable mob boss in 1seconds
Im Yoon Ah(Mi Ho): 8/10 but I enjoyed her time as "minnie mouse". I wish this show was more of a power couple
Kim Joo Heon(Choi Do Ha): 5/10. he was bland the 1st half, unsurprising reveal, over estimated himself and boom he was dead in 1 second
Kwak Dong Yeon(Jerry): 7/10, he was better as the bromance cellmate, got super boring when he was revealed to be a big mouse lanky
Yang Kyung Won(Gong Ji Hoon): 8/10, better psycho villain than doha, 2 overexaggerating psychos in 1 drama gets bland, and he was the crazy one 1st so doha just felt like a copy cat
Ok Ja Yeon(Hyun Joo Hee ): 6/10 seemed more villianis but like miho, the women here were an after thought
Jung Jae Sun(Park Yoon Gab): 8/10, I know the actor as the jijjiri type of evil, so I liked how he got a bigger role and the actor tbh would've been better as real big mouse, he switched between petty villain to power boss well
Real Big Mouse: 3/10, the actor felt bland, his character twist even blander, 99% of the people didn't believe it was him xD
3 VIPs: 1/10. they were a 3in1, they dragged one side kick villain into 3 and made them 3 whiny losers

this show was a fun underdog forced to be the big dog, the prison scenes were fun, but then it all lasted so long that their main fight was just an echo "loooook for pappppeerrrr"
everything was resolved way too quickly, doha big villain that ruined water supply, miho gets sick/dies just as a pawn in the revelation and booooooooooooom, doha is killed

the best parts for me were actually the fact that they were married, but I guess like every other "marriage" in "crime" genres, the wife must die so the husband takes action ;/
this overall felt like a prequel to the story of Park Chang Ho as a real badass big mouse, in a way real big mouse was better off as an organization with no leader, or 1 guy that manipulated ppl, having 1 guy with his own set of organization just for him to die so Park Chang Ho could take over the crown on a silver platter, was all just too simple

tried too hard

this drama tried too hard on three aspects, one it wanted to be "mature", two it wanted a cute "fluffy" romance and three it wanted to pull a move I actually like so I didn't mind xD

one; it's as if cheating and complicated romance makes it more mature. on the other hand this also wanted to show that 30 year olds are still clueless and naive
the thing is, the ML was toxic from the start, he played push and pull with the FL while he was in a relationship. so not only did he keep confusing the FL, he then proceeds to blame her for everything
after she took courage to confess and they spend a night together, he doesn't call! then he goes to her house unannounced and yells at HER for not calling! but even worse after he made her insecure, taken aback, he proceeds to tell her I like you.
that's legit toxic behavior, the problem didn't even start with the fact that he was already dating, he never respected women

after a while they show how all his life girls confessed to him 1st, then he only dated his gf just becasue she was yet another fangirl, so even if their relationship was never serious, it was not an excuse to pursue the FL and confuse her even more while they were "dating"

here the writer wanted that "1st loves don't work out" with a touch of makjang so I actually liked that message xD

the 2nd problem was the second couple, that dude was 21 pretending to be 24 but acted like a 15 year old! I have nothing against age gaps, hani's character too needed a cutie more than a controlling "oppa", but this was a severe case of miscast, I could take his actions, but I could not take the aegyo or the way he talked, I could not believe a 30 year old wants that... there's a difference between age gap and mental gap, they could have a 10 year gap and still match intellectually

the 3rd part was the "2nd lead gets the girl", it's a thing with song jaerim xD I actually not only preferred him, but I'm all on board the "get rid of the jerk ML and choose the sweetie 2ML" :)

a good point would be that this was short but the bad point would be this show repeated scenes way too much ;)

When the writer makes the main female lead faint in EVERY SINGLE ep, you know there's something wrong here.. for one she's a COP, so one would assume she could atleast try to take cover but nope, she's the target of any and all "accidents"
I am dropping this at ep4 but even after ep6's teaser I saw yet another pic of Ha Neul Ae Gu Reum with closed eyes...

now people could make up all the excuses they want but the ML is miscast, or horribly written. we can assume he's in his mid 30s to early 40s, and since the younger vr seemed to be kinda in a similar age group as the fl, 35 is as young as he could pretend to be.
but imagine, a grown man is so incompetent, the way he reacts to things makes it seem like he's in his teens. he's confused, lost, brooding and worse he loses his temper and storms out like a kid.. ooh yeah the WORST part was when he pushed the fl then also broke the bus station's glass that cut her face and neck.......
I have seen many many "supernatural" themed shows and movies, maybe I even watched teen focused superpower genres even more and non of them act as childish as this 40 year old man
I won't say he's not acting it right, he is pulling off that horrible character but they don't fit each other. if they casted a teen or someone in their early 20s then maayyybe, but I hate that type of character it's just a cheap out of a real in depth struggle

on the other hand I don't get the obsession the FL has with the ML. sure she wants to know about her parents, but he's practically a dead end, there's no need for her to risk her life for him when she could try to arrest him.. he's acting too pitiful and she's way too invested

I actually enjoyed the "evil minions" story more, Choi Yoo Na and Lee Son's convo in ep4 was more interesting than anything else, granted though everything from ep1 till ep4 was a boring repetitive circle.
the evil guys find zio, they have an over exaggerated fight and then they run and run and run, then the fl faints while the ml pouts..

Lee Da Hee, Jung Da Eun and the OST were the best part, though at some points the OST is too flashy as if they're trying to say "look at us, we're a fancy fantasy"

now I'm only dropping this for 2 reasons, one I can't take dahee fainting one more time and two I now have 5 better ongoing shows so I don't need to waste my time on this, though I might pick it up after it ends and skip all the running and whining ;D

I technically dropped this at ep4 (lucky me) but I had my eyes on the ending and they killed both FL and SFL?! WOW, did the writer hate female characters? tbh the FL was so badly written that I new this writer can't write female characters, it's surprising to see that they also wrote the Pirates, but anyway...
what's worse they killed her off by taking a bullet for the ML? that's legit my most hated trope...

Best dystopian teen flick

Back when I was a teen, not long ago, dystopian genres were a thing. Practically every book after the "vampire/werewolf" urban fantasies became a dystopian teen flick.
And as a bookwarm I've read alot of them and this, does fall well into it's own identity.
A world that is attacked by alien zombies. A world that lost a big majority of their soldiers so they had to recruit kids. A world were adults hid behind those soldier kids.
Sure it's unbelievable, but that was established pretty early on xD

The plot holes in my opinion started from "recruiting kids", especially since their parents, their fathers, as per korean law are obligated to be redrafted into the military in case of wars. And the drama didn't really address that or the idea that the parents would actually agree to such a thing.
The kids were easily manipulated with the exam points, and there was no real need like saying "the aliens can effect the adult brains" or some excuse like "The Fifth Wave" or "enders game"(?).
I mean the whole existence of "the hunger game" relies on "drafting kids to murder each other for world peace"

So yeah the unbelievability of recruiting kids for the military can be easily excused..

And yes, I'm calling them kids cuz teenagers are still kids. Idk where I heard this a few days ago but kids/teens aren't emotionally or mentally fully developed to process and actively live by adult rules.
So these kids were indeed brats, selfish, self centered, whiny, naggy, brats that bullied others for being different or "less"
Just like any other highschool drama.. but I did really appreciate the kids that not only stood up but also comforted the outcasts. They weren't responsible for them, but they also didn't tolerate sht.
Especially Nara my precious ♡♡♡

Now throughout the story, even te selfish bullies, or the self centered naggers did contribute to the survival of their friends and that was emotionally satisfying. Tho I'd have also loved to punch Bora and Ilha.. or sacrifice them :D

For me Lee Chun Ho, Park Eun Young and Won Bin were the MVP adults. And Nara, class prez, Jangsoo were the MVP kids

I really loved the ost as well. The emotional journey was moving, the survival steps were believable for kids better than All Of Us Are Dead. Also I appreciate the lack of real full focus Main characters as apposed to the cheap love square and selfish jealousy of AOURD kids. And yes I'm only comparing them as they're both teen dystopian survival shows

I laughed when they laughed, I was bored in the early els and couldn't connect with any characters until the teacher, I cried when they laughed and I CREID on the last ep. I do hate the cut into 2 parts tho if we had gotten the normal 2eps per week, it'd have lasted around a month before eps 9-12(?) Were out anyway, instead we got to binge 6eps in less than a week. Unless pt2 isn't in April and SOON, I don't mind it as I do with the other cuts

Why, me

Too dragged out, scared of the powerful FL that they not only had to bring in younger guys that loved and helped her, but her whole enemies were men and naturally she kept falling until boom everything was resolved because ppl helped her

• Seo Hyun Jin's acting = 100/10. She simply carried the show
• Soo Jae character = 9/10. Strong, jaded, from a weakling to the girl boss, too many ppl hated her which was ridiculous
• Gong Chan = 1/10. Kdramas can't handle a power couple. They think if the ML is strong as well it'd take away from the FLs power but I hated how he had no presence yet he always ran to save the fl or said things like "I'll be here for you" as if he was her strength
• Choi Tae Gook = 3/10 he's a great actor, but too plain and convenient as a villain
• Choi Yoon Sang = 1/10 he was there again as the ML to make the FL more "appealing", and as a plot device for the ending

Story = 6/10. Too many things were connected. Everything was connected and resolved in the last ep. It was one giant circle with the FL being the center just because.
Development = 1/10. 16 hours of drama just for it all to be solved in 1 hour. That makes 15 hours of dragged out plot, with maybe 1 hour of cheap romance to make the FL look soft

Revenge wise it was as bad as Eve but idk Eve had more crazy, seo yeji was allowed to go all out psycho, here they feared the FL being so self dependent and unafraid of the big guys that they actually spent more time making her look "feminine" by adding romance, making her desirable rather lusted for, and adding the ML to show her vulnerability. Eunpyung was Rael's pillar of support not the force that kept her going

By "help" I mean how every evidence was recorded. Not because she gathered them but they were just there.. ceo pushing that girl? Recorded.. ceo killing that other girl? Recorded. Ceo being the villain that killed everyone? Recorded.. everything revolved around him, everything was solved in one ep. Since it was a her vs him, she couldn't fight back with power but rather, things came to her and suddenly everyone wanted to help

uneventful but cute

the story was about 2 people in same yet different struggles, Woo Ram lost his mentor so he lost his hold on his dream, Hyun Ji as a normal graduate was trying to fight against the other candidates to get a job

and in that moment they met, awkwardly yet naturally interacted, he kept going to her workplace and she kept looking forward to his visits and with that love bloomed

I think both did a great job with their characters, they were both soft and careful, as a girl with only a father and as a maknae in a 5 child house hold they both just naturally felt timid

now though if they gave them more depth and time to develop the romance I think Hyun Ji would've shown a cute cheeky side and soon Woo Ram would've lightened up and they'd have had more potential at a sweet romance

now the drawback was the unevenfulness. nothing much happened and soon they were super comfortable with each other and that lost their biggest asset which was the sweetness and the youthfulness of the 2 mains.
the struggles were shallow and the sadness was fleeting but overall for a 1 hour 40min it was a nice breezy watch

After The Happily Ever After

the charming point of this drama was that it was it's own behind the scenes.. it was as if the characters were making their own drama..

this drama starts off with the aftermath of everyone's 1st love and the truth that not all 1st loves work out...
I've been complementing this drama ever since the 1st ep in the comment section, and now I'm kinda out of words ;)
basically this was a great slice of life with so many useful interesting side characters and a healthy dash of "love triangles" in each relationship...

I added lot of this drama's characters to my favorite lists, they are all so diverse❤ and the girls (+ Hyo Bong)! it was as if I was living with them, as if I was a part of that beautifully knitted friendship.. I'll sincerely miss them...

The ost of this drama was another charming point, they really did a great job fitting each scene. and I think overall the ending was done well, in a world where I hate almost all endings, it was satisfying...
and I really highly recommend this, it's fresh and different with ALOT of beautifully hilarious comedic scenes! tbh, now that I remembered that point I think that was the best thing about this! this literally had THE best "laugh out loud until you cry comedy" and I LOVED that!

my rewatch values are 1 or 10, and I already want to revisit my girls❤

basically great acting, mediocre directing and horrible writing ;)

since the start I was really "confused" about what happened in 1997, why did that guy kill everyone? what did they want with that "mysterious" box, what was the point with everything? and they only answered it in the last few minutes of the final ep when they showed a recap from someone's pov so basically no one really "knew" what happened till the end.

I still don't get why that dude not only killed everyone but also came back to kill everyone, even his own son ;/ and then he cried about it... and yoon park was so obsessed with the "object" that he went off to a hole and died too..... basically cheap deaths for a final blow...

so to recap what I did get, a group of SK soldiers went to look for a box of "mysterious" object. they discovered a NK female holding a baby and a male holding the box. the NK's wanted to go to SK (presumably with that box) but one SK soldier suddenly massacred them? and he killed his team becasue they wanted to save the baby? and he shot his friend in the back for reporting him.. (and miraculously the baby became the fl)
then box NK guy becomes a nuclear zombie and drags "one" of the guys (who turned out to be the ml's dad) because box guy was angry and he causes an accident that killed him and turned that SK guy into a radio active zombie. later on a dog bites him, turns into a dog zombie and infects two more people.
and this is where the story starts, the group hunts the "target", the psycho SK guy comes back to kill more people (like how did anyone even follow his lead) and people died while nuclear zombie dad blows up the place which leads the normal SK people wondering where more than 10 people disappeared too... and no one but the mains knew the truth.. like the "government" didn't care they were like here's your secret records deal with it yourself?

yes, to summarize it it did not need 10 eps at all! it only needed 2, 5 max.. like nothing happened in those long long eps. there was not enough character growth, there was not enough character base tbh they really wasted the actors potential..

also the director was not any better, the recaps drove me crazy, 1- I do not need to be reminded of what happened 5mins ago and 2- the back and froth between the time lines and the overall feel of the drama felt flat.

I do love the actors though, especially JDY and he did an AMAZING job, the rest also did great. for ost tbh I don't think they even had any beside JDY singing ;) and I never rewatch stuff, I hope this opened up more doors for the cast though

In 10mins I wrote a better EVE

The problem wasn't the romance, it wasn't the age gap, it wasn't even the fact that ceo was trash. But the problem was the execution. Ceo had 0 sympathy, 0 chemistry, 0 personality,, and 0 common ground with rael
They never had proper conversations, they never connected on anything (beside ceo projecting his mom being treated like trash to having his own mistress he didn't treat like trash)
He saw her pain, he never pushed her to explain, but he never tried to comfort her. He never tried to get to know her.
This is a bit of spoiler from Misty, but there they start off as a married couple losing touch, and the ml makes so much effort, they connected again and build a relationship. Then the spoiler part, then the writer snatched our hearts and stabbed us right in the feels and showed the ML was the murderer.. so he was "the bad guy", but he had depth, he had a backstory, he had a connection with the fl, he had a relationship and they took us on that journey with them then broke our hearts

Here, sure I was team eunpyung (and I'll talk more about him later), but here the ML starts off by lusting over the FL. He pushes her down and tells her to be his dog. He then becomes the dog because he wants to have her. He starts doing things he was missing in his marriage and projecting it on rael. The rose house with the kids, the laughter. It was all his playbook of a happy life. Then he gets angry at her for ignoring him.. then he hits her, pushes her badly and hurts her while she runs away scared and he doesn't stop, he continuedchasing her and hurting her.. until she pushes him once and he falls like the fragile old man he is..
Non of those are love. And his redemption? "Whoops, the company I wanted, and the guy that died, was your dad? Oh no..."
It didn't matter he killed. It didn't matter he killed her dad.. he was "sad" he was the reason her life fell apart.. and his solution? Pretend to run away to die.. and he just goes to his favorite church looking perfectly ok. No pain. No drinking to ease his pain. No regret. No tears. He was jut walking in to throw a pity party but rael was already there..

SHE had so MUCH more emotion. He didn't return or deserve.
Though her emotions are wrong too. His greed was the reason her dad died. He wasn't innocent. He didn't care he killed. He never treated her right. She was practically his victim, the victim he mentally kidnapped, until she thought he was showing her kindness and love

It's not even toxic love. It's a cheap attempt at makjang that failed miserably cuz the ML horribly portrayed his flat character

And what the writer didn't realize. The real HOT painful healing torturous love and chemistry could've come from eunpyung

He was the only person she showed her true face, her true heart. But she didn't think she deserved happiness or love so she'd run away from him. but once she wavers for 1 second eunpyung would've embraced her for a passionate kiss. Then she'd again feel guilty cuz all she wants is revenge. She doesn't think she can survive and her only goal is to break them all down and possibly kill/die. So she pushes him away. But his love would be too much for her so she'd cave, and they'd have had all the sweet scenes in the beach and church, but he gets hurt so she pushes him away again. And then that church scene at the end would've been them. With the people out for bloody murder being sora, and ceo who like his scene when he found out the truth, couldn't live with the idea that rael actually loved eunpyung and never him

In both vrs, the perfect ending is bloody murder. With ceo of course being the one dying
and updating this as the drama ended but, I'm satisfied with the bloody murder🤣 I've been bamboozled by drama endings before, a happy romance ends up a tragedy, a makjnag ends up a romcom with a wedding scene ending, and many many dead leads come back at the end, I didn't trust them one bit
but this is the best option, he never repented or even acknowledged his wrongdoings, but atleast with his death rael could move on from all her pain, and with eunpyeong going to her, I can happily imagine their reunion. though no one mentioned the poor kids at the end🤣

▪︎Acting:
• Rael = 100/10. She carried the whole show with her expressions and emotions
• Sora = 8/10. She was a bit penthouse dramatic, but she was also all talk and not much bite. For someone who has killed before she was intimidated by Rael too much
• Ceo = 1/10. The only time he showed character and passion was when he tried to steal his father's company. Almost all of his other scenes were 👁👄👁
• Eunpyung = 8.5/10. He did have a bit of 🥺 face too much

▪︎Character:
• Rael = 8/10. She was crazy, not afraid, diabolical, tempting, captivating and dangerous. But her suckup persona was too unbelievable, if a person tells you what you want to hear in that low voice it's clear they're lying. Her passion and love for ceo made no sense even as someone who lacked love and couldn't differentiate between love and toxicity
• Sora = 6/10. She did all she wanted but she feared her dad. I'd have assume she'd have done more to Rael, fought back more and spread rumors instead of crying and screaming 90% of her time
• Ceo = 1/10. Zero personality, zero passion, zero drive. All lust, cheap traumatic past. Had no sense of responsibility, only cared for his child when he opposed his wife. Wanted a mistress to treat her like his toy. A murder but also a pity party thrower.
• eunpyung = 7/10. He had more potential, he ruined his character when he asked her if she liked ceo, then dug his own grave when he kept telling her she can't then put the final nail in his coffin when he told her to go after ceo..
His slow love, his care and passion for her though were beautiful, he ruined it when he became too devoted to her. But that scene when he cooked for her, and his confessions were my favorite scenes

▪︎Plot = 6/10. It was just another revenge drama, the cheating was supposed to make it different and it had potential
▪︎Plot development = 1/10. By ep 12 I just thought to myself, what did I watch for 12+ hours? Basically nothing. No character development, no move in revenge plot, and the cheating scandal became so flat and stale. The biggest tension was the kid's birthday party but it never went anyway

▪︎Romance = -100/10. I'm not a romance fanatic, I never supported the normal jerk ml/naive fl plot move. But this was even worse than that. There was no reason, no passion, no connection, no use. This should've 100% been Rael using him till the end, and then the Ceo losing his sht and showing his trash personality, which he did in ep, 12? But then they did a 180, with no real redemption and just went back to acting he was hurt. And then he would see how he was just as trashy as Sora.

▪︎OST = I love the main song so much, the whole ost was on par to seo yeji's mood and acting

▪︎Rewatch = I actually never Rewatch tho I did Rewatch some scenes to make edits and I wish I was a bit better at editing so I could take all of this and make it about Rael and Eunpyung

I don't know if watching s1 so recently was a good move or a bad one.. it was really nice to see the character's growth, like kim sabu had a more gentle fatherly figure as opposed to the mentor vibe in s1 and it was sure nice to see familiar faces again, but the worst thing was seeing the weak plot line related to the female lead again.

both seasons female leads were unreasonably forced to be weak and unable to perform surgery until the middle part of the drama, and they were given a sudden "you are healed now" and everything was ok again..

the overall plot was kinda weak and I didn't care for the repetitive politics here, I honestly hope there's no s3, and
I usually hate medical dramas so the fact that I got through this means it's the best of the worst? xD

this is the best performance out of Ahn Hyo Seop, he was the highlight of the drama~

the ost for this is gold, it has great singers like baekhyun, chanyeol, punch, gummy, changha, heize, mamamoo among others~

my rewatch values are either a 1 or a 10, so~
