I had planned to review this a while ago, but totally forgot about it. Anyways, the continuation of YF and HQ's story broken down into 4 mini episodes. At first these episodes were such a great treat, because we got to see and know that they are still together and are still very much in love. I loved the way that YF just seemed so happy and relaxed, a total opposite of how he was with his previous partner---letting us the viewers know that he wasn't happy before but now with HQ he has found that happiness. Likewise, HQ also seems more cheeky and playful and not at all the depressed downtrodden mess that he was before. Alas, it is all revealed to be a dream that YF is having, a subconscious need to have HQ with him in his arms and in his life. Despite this being all a dream, this only solidified to us that they are still together and that HQ has one year left of study in America. He has also traveled back and forth to be with YF so their love seems to only grow stronger the more apart they are. I had wished that at the end we could have gotten a small snippet/scene of HQ at the airport with his luggage ready to return to YF. It would have brought everything full circle.
I particularly liked that it was just the two of them in these episodes, because they didn't have that many scenes together in DB&M so that was another treat.
I wish for more from this drama, but I know that this will probably be it for HQ and YF. DB&M is a story not for many BL lovers because it is a really messy love drama that takes realistic liberties and you have to be ready to accept that people do cheat , some stay together out of "loyalty or indebted" and that often not everyone gets a happy ending or the happy ending they had hoped for.

A for effort. Not the worst nor the greatest mini-drama-series I've watched. Definitely had some issues that triggered me in some way. I tried to put aside my personal experiences when watching this, but eeekkk not a fan of the friends and not a fan of persistent characters who can't get a clue about the person being pursued. However, I do understand that the story was rushed, the actors were not the original ones and had to learn to act as a "couple" with a short time frame and the story is supposed to be 1 of 3 so maybe this was the experimental one?
Anyways, Folk could do very well acting if he is given the right role/script. But his character was wasted in this drama. He was the only one I watched this for.
The plot is pretty basic and similar to most BLs. I find that they were trying to do their own version of the HIStory series with this. I already mentioned the friends. While we love supportive friends in a BL or Gay Drama, if they aren't utilized properly they become caricatures/cartoonish. Their actions were a put off for me. Real supportive friends would have stepped in a few times when Gun was pursuing Bar and not encourage his creepy behaviors.
Likewise, a main lead that is pushy, stalkerish will always be unlikable in my book. I tried to again see it from the point of view that this was just rushed and not given proper development, but what they did put out was not that great.
What I will say is that I didn't appreciate some comments here about Gun's appearance. It was really unfortunate to read that people didn't like him because he wasn't "good looking" or "hot" or whatever. and I think this made him more unlikable to those viewers. I understand that we can connect to people/actors on a superficial level, but some of the comments about his appearance were just out of place tbh.

This review is a personal opinion. IT is in no way intended to sway anyone from watching a drama or convincing them otherwise. We all have different tastes and are individuals so please proceed to watch or not watch a drama based on your own personal opinion/feeling.What can I say about this drama that probably hasn't already been said?
This was a surprise to me considering the let downs we have had with other BLs recently. I came into this drama not expecting much. I actually did not watch it as it was airing, but waited until at least the 12th episode was out because there were too many dramas I was overloading myself with.
I am glad I waited. I believe it helped me actually concentrate on the story and acting and not give an opinion based on the moment emotions which sometimes happens.
Lets start off with what I did like.
I loved the pacing. I think that there wasn't much rushing or slowness to this drama as we have seen in other. I also believe that because there is a rumor of a second season, that the production team took care to really try to develop the characters.
Those damn FUJOSHI characters. Can we please stop this?!!! They are annoying and just makes women characters look like obsessed hyenas. Even King's sister being such a grown a&& woman with kids and making her kids take pictures of her brother kissing another boy is some level of voyeurism that's just UGG (barf)
Speaking of character:
RAM! I truly believe that this was the most developed character in the drama aside from King. Ram had very little dialogue compare to others because his character was the introverted and guarded type. But could his eyes and smiles really deliver a scene? And when he cried after learning of his father's affair?? I really loved how much they did with this character with so little, yet his story arc was the most developed one of all (dealing with a father who cheats, dealing with his inability to open up to others, dealing with a budding crush on his senior, so much)
King!: This kid was so adorable and such an easy to like character. His love of plants allowed him to be very observant of others around him and soon Ram was another specimen he needed to dissect and study and then give care and love to. This couple had very interesting dynamics and I liked it very much.
Mek and Boss! Putting aside the horrible voice over (come on they could have found a voice actor with a more easy to digest voice tone) Mek was another "mute" character. He had very little dialogue just like Ram, but he was able to convey a lot of what he felt for Boss without saying much. Boss was a typical goofy character that you see in a lot of dramas, but honestly, there was so much to him. He had feelings for MEK for a while but was afraid to ruin it. He liked to pretend that their Husband-wife roles were real and fun as a way to stay close to him. I understand why they included Fon in their relationship, because Boss was trying to forget his feelings for Mek.
Duen/Bohn....sighs...I really want to say some nice things about this couple...I really do...but they were FRUSTRATING and just another cliche of a couple. I could put aside some of the childish and immature behaviors from Bohn, but I was not really feeling them as a couple. Honestly, they need to have more development. Bohn was such a cocky and immature punk all the way until the 13th episode and then we get some character development from him?? That was annoying to say the least. Well, if the season 2 rumors are true, then I hope this couple takes the side-pairing seat and let Ram/King be main as their story is more interesting.
Thara/Frong....I am in the minority here, but I felt zero chemistry from them, but that just means that another season will be a time to develop them.
Overall, for me the drama was good, not great. It felt like every other BL cliche drama out there, nothing we haven't seen before. What saved it for me was the characters RAM and KING...and MEK/Boss to some extent. Really without them, I would have rated this even lower.
In the end, it's a watch if you are bored and waiting for something else to drop.

A Sweet Supernatural Boyslove drama you will fall in love with.
He's Coming To Me is a supernatural drama about Mes, a young man who mysteriously died and is unable to reincarnate in a new life due to his unfinished business. As the years pass, Mes who lives in the cemetery and watches as the living visit their loved ones who have passed during the "ghost festival" celebration , meets a young boy [Thun/Than] who is able to see him. The two begin a friendship that lasts for several years, until one day Thun/Than doesn't come to see him. The two reconnect years later when Thun/Than is already in college. Thus begins an adventure in where Thun/Than is determined to find out how Mes died so he is able to reincarnate. Unbeknownst to them, the intricacies of their friendship and the mystery surrounding Mes' death, will eventually translate to them falling in love. The question then becomes: How can a ghost and living person fall in love and can they live together happily? or Will Mes be able to reincarnate? This drama brings together the lovable Singto Prachaya with Ohm Pawt Chittsawangdee. Both are very well known in the Boys Love (BL) sphere for their dramas. Singto has played many different types of characters, but his portrayal of Kongpop in Sotus/Sotus S catapulted him to the top of the most sought after actors in Thailand and I would even argue in many parts of Asia. His acting range is not limited to the gay characters he has played, but when it comes to BL, any production team that hires him will not be disappointed. Likewise, Ohm is most famously known for his role as Frame in Make it Right the series, a character that has cemented him as an actor to look out for in future dramas. As a couple in this drama, both have undeniable chemistry and somehow they bring out the best in their acting.
The Script is amazing. Not having read the novel it is based on, my critique of it is limited to the drama itself. It is quite clear that the production team spent a lot of their time and energy in creating an amazing story for the viewers. The plot which is a combination of the supernatural and romance, has been set up quite well and it is highly supported by an amazing acting cast. The meshing of two time periods is also done fluidly--with elements from the late 1980s-1990s blending with the modern era through music, it creates a nostalgic feeling. Likewise, the cinematography creates this nostalgic mood by its use of tones and colors, specially in the sepia spectrum.
Acting wise, everyone does an amazing job. Singto and Ohm showed great range in their acting abilities. Singto has an uncanny ability to make other actors bring out their best when in his presence. He is able to steal a scene with just a look or even a small gesture. He is arguably the best actor in this drama followed by Ohm. The rest of the cast does a good job supporting the leads and driving the story along, though it isn't always needed since much of the story focuses on Mes and Thun/Than. There are various scenes where the viewers feel emotionally invested and both Singto and Ohm deliver it in such a way that it is easy for the viewer to relate or try to comfort them. Thun's friends add the comedic elements that break up the more intense parts of the drama. It is a welcomed change of pace and it is placed in the right moments. They also bring more depth to the story. Through their intervention, Thun/Than is able to come to grips with his inner battle and through their support he is able to truly be himself. Everyone is needed in helping to develop the main characters's stories as well as helping the story be successful.
I highly recommend this drama, specially when you have nothing more to watch in the mean time. I would wager that this is going to be on the best BL dramas to come out in 2019 and so far is on the top of my list. I also look forward to more acting projects between Singto and Ohm. They seem to have a great chemistry.
ALSO because I know this is a common question BL fans always have,; is this a happy ending? YES it absolutely is.

Not worth watching all episodes...
This was okay. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. There were many issues such as continuity of other couples/characters as they were either hinted at or added to episodes that had nothing to do with them, leaving us, the viewers, wondering about them or their story. Some episodes felt incomplete even with the open ending, which sometimes can be annoying. If I were to rank each episode from best to worse it would go like this
6 (Boom and Peak's story was the more cohesive of them all IMO)
1 (Santa and Earth were really really good with their chemistry)
4 (Prem Boum had a nice story and I liked the dynamics of all characters)
3 (this GL could have been soooo good, but the script fell flat in most areas, still better than the last 3 on my rank)
Wow I just realized that my least favorites ones were the straight couple.
2 (I LOVE YATCH...but I didn't like their story at all. Though the "mean girl" actress was really good.)
7 (I like Perth, but this was so bland)
5 (Plan put me off and I couldn't watch this without cringing. He spoiled it for me)
Cons
Acting of some of these actors was horrible. I mean Plan has been in the acting field for years now and still he comes off as a newbie and uninterested in his roles. Doesn't appear he even has a passion for acting, so I wonder why he takes these roles. Guess cash money...
Oreo---I love Oreo he is so adorable, but his acting as a bully just seemed illogical or unconvincing. He's adorable though...
Story:
GL....This one started off strong and by the last fifteen minutes, it just fell flat. It was promising and they could have really done a great GL story if the script wasn't so weak and scared to go there!
All of the straight stories were FLAT AF...no idea why, but it was just boring and uninteresting. Those episodes could have been condensed and given that extra time to the other stories that could have used more development.
Director New sucks, there I said it. He has no rhyme or reason and probably needs to go back to film school or something. His works have always left something to be desired, but I wish he would give more care to storytelling and not to stylistic filming.
Pros
The cinematography was beautiful. That is the one thing that New knows how to do, He takes care in catching the right lighting and sounds. I wish he put more care into the script/story/acting.
5.5/10

Quaranthings of feelings
This review is intended to share a subjective opinion. In no way is this meant to sway anyone from watching it.This drama from the Philippines follows the story of two boys "quarantined" in their shared apartment becasue of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While we have been sort of saturated with multiple BL/GL stories from the Phillipines with the COVID-19 backdrop as a main story point, I am grateful that every single one I've watched has exceeded my expectations.
Quaranthings may be the one that seems to have the lowest "production budget" amongst all of the BLs that have come out recently, but that doesn't mean they suffer from bad script or story.
I personally love the complexity of Judah's character and the nuance that the actor brought to him. Many viewers may dislike Judah and dimiss him as a brat, but his range in emotions and his development throughout the story is quite refreshing and relatable.
Rocky's struggles with his sexuality is palpable through some of the scenes.
Honestly, there were some things that could have been left out (like Glenn's scene at Judah's place) to give more time to develop Rocky's story IMO.
Overall, this is a good drama to watch.
The title is aptly named Quaranthings, because these boys Quarantine more than just their bodies from the pandemic, they also Quarantine their feelings.

My review is intended as a personal opinion. In no way am I here to sway anyone. If you are looking for a movie (or series) that doesn't take itself too seriously, then this is it for you! This movie brings back the four lovable but idiotic Tootsies; Gus and his squad of queer BFFs, Natty, Golf and Kim. In the drama, we were left with the unresolved story of Gus and Top. Though Gus had moved on with his new partner Win, we (the viewers) were still hopeful that Gus and Top would end up cannon. The movie does a great job in closing their love arc and despite how they end, it was satisfying.
The movie starts with the ever clueless Natty and her intestines's impeccable timing in public situations. If you enjoy a good fart joke or two, you might die of laughter with Natty's issues. Then Kim and is ever need to be "perfect" are the recipe for disaster up in the air.
Don't let their foolishness and idiotic behaviors distract you, because this little gem has a lot of topics that many people deal with on a daily basis. We have Natty and her desperate attempt to get pregnant to secure her mother's inheritance. Then you have Gulf wanting validation for his work, specially from his idol. Gus having no desire for settling into a domestic lifestyle which includes a child--and then Kim....damn Kim always being extra.
I really enjoyed this and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good rom-com. Also, my mother enjoyed it and she's hard to please.

More of this type of BL drama please!!!
My review is a personal opinion on this drama. It is not in any way shape or form meant to sway you into either watching it or avoiding it. Please make your own personal choice on whether to watch something or not. We are all individuals and have our own likes or dislikes.I give this drama an 8.9 (thogh MDL only lets me pick wither 8.5 or 9.0...so I went for 9.0) (reason is as follows)...I got to say that Max and Tul did a better job here than in their previous works. I never really liked their other dramas. Anyways, they have improved immmensely, specially Max...that stare alone...gosh he does something to me, which is really interesting because I never cared for him before.
The story is pretty basic and formulaic, which isn't a bad thing at all if done properly. I loved the way it was told and though there was some plotholes here and there, it was enjoyable to watch. Can't denied that all of the actors had great chemistry with each other, not just Max-Tul.
My reason for the raiting is that most of the criminal justice proceedures were so badly done at times. GOSH...there was some things that made me shake my head...but again I'm sure this had more to do with the area the drama was located and the way that local police work, but it was just like...Come on Man, that's not how police proceedure works (even if you are in a different country, basic police investigative techniques are pretty much universal...)
Like no one bothered to do "latent searches" ??? on the rope, on the doors or even at Pued and the reporter's houses?
or having poor victim at the District Attorney's office to confront him about what he did to her and other young girls? No one would put a victim in the same vacinity as her abuser unless they were at trial and if she chose to take the stand...I was like...OMG that's traumatizing for her to be in front of someone so powerful who did so much to her and others. But again, this is a drama so I have to just take a step back and let it play out LOL.
It's obvious that the source material is going to lack a lot of the criminal justice perspective because the writer according to many comes from a medical background and not a police/dectective one, so I can forgive them for it.
I also didn't like that they didn't really wrap up the prostitution/trafficking/abortion arc of the story. I thought addressing this head on would have been a great opportunity to highlight the real problems that are happening not just there but in the world.
Lets talk about the CHEESY ending...sorry LOL...I'm just not a romantic person so the cheesiness was overkilled for me...from the surprise engagement to the cliff scene...BUTTTTTT, it was really fitting for them. So despite my dislike for it, I thought it worked for the story.
I do hope there is a special episode to see more of Aem/Oat and Sarawit and the other kid. I thought they were very cute.
Conclusion? I say watch it if you like mystery/crime dramas with a touch of BL. This was pretty decent and I can see myself watching it again. Minus the cheesy stuff... ^_^

ACTING: Spot on. The chemistry between EVERY SINGLE character was great.
The Senior and the Junior were amazing in the push/pull and they had me confused throughout the entire 8 episodes as to who was the top or bottom, which, meant the directors and actors did a GREAT job showing viewers that in gay relationships you don't always have to have SET ROLES. These two very well seem to be the type that switches and that's so refreshing to see in a BL drama. Can we talk about THOSE KISSES? Whoah, they give Bernard and Teddy a run for their money (though Bernard and Teddy are still the top couple to beat in the HIStory series in terms of chemistry and kissing...IMO)
The Senior and his sister: Super cute and I can relate as an older sibling myself. We would do anything for our little sisters/brothers even when they are annoying or impossible. However, it was also nice to see the sister support her brother in the end and actually go and talk to the junior.
The step-brothers: Although I am tired of the step-brother trope in mangas, I wasn't too put off by these brothers here. They were adorable and they had great facial expressions and played off each other's characters really well.
The team captain: MY GOSH what a great comedic best friend. He was sooooo hilarious and totally a character that people probably have in their lives.
The opposing team twins: Brief introduction to the series, but their antics were quite memorable. Kudos to the production team for playing with viewers when they had one of the twins take an eyelash from the other.
STORY: I have watched several dramas where sports are the main them, and I liked that Volleyball was the one they picked here. I used to play in a team as a kid so it was nostalgic for me. However, it was a backdrop for the romance, so it wasn't too central, which is okay. I also loved that it was a junior after a senior, usually we have the senior going after the junior.
Music: Both OSt were okay, not that memorable like the other HIStory stories, but it was still enjoyable.
Re-watch value: Easily see myself watching these episodes again. There was some things I missed due to some videos not being fully translated, so I'm going to repeat them after I find all of the subbed episodes and not just scenes of the episode.
Overall: really glad that this story was made and I hope that the HIStory team is able to produce more.
My top 3 HIStory stories
1) Obsessed
2) Right or wrong
3)Boundary Crossing

Lets talk about the couple! Can we get an -AMEN! Finally a top/lead who is straight (no pun intended) forward about his feelings, his actions and doesn't give two Fs about society or what others think? Like seriously, this was a total turn on! Finally, someone who understands the pressure society can have on your choice of partner, but who was willing to say "screw you society and your societal norms, I love this man and I want him!" Often I watch BLs where the so called straight person who suddenly turns gay is not willing to admit their feelings much less fight for their relationship and wants to keep it a secret. However, in this series we have the opposite and it was refreshing to say the least.
Love the second lead (I'm horrible with names, I'll come back to edit this later when I finally learn them all) specially when he declared to the ex-wife that Shi Jie(??) was his and that Yo Yo though technically hers, was still his too. I liked that he had doubts about his relationship because we got to see a more complex character. Usually characters like him in BLs are depicted as one-dimensional and I'm glad we got to see more about his motives for what he does or say!
Also, supporting characters-the friends. They were what you hope real friends are. Supportive, understanding, knock you on the head when you need it, give you advice you may not want to hear but really need to know...Etc. Best friend was amazingly supportive and no longer the side-girl who somehow in most BL dramas end up being the "other love interest" or the one plotting to sabotage the relationship. She was refreshing and sweet and cheered on her friend from a place of true support for him.
The ex-wife--The trope of all tropes when it comes to Straight men falling for gay men, and their straight female exes being the crutch to their happiness. Loved that her role was brief and that her own brother called her out on how manipulative she was being and unfair to her child and herself. As fast as she came, she was gone and that made me give this drama higher points, because I'm truly sick of dramas where they drag this scene out.
Music--Top notch, but I didn't find myself liking the choices as much as I did for the first season. Easy Chen truly ruined it for me because now I expect him to sing for every BL Taiwanese drama (LOL)
Setting/Directing/etc...everything was actually good

While there is no shortage of rom-coms out there, Hello Stranger brings something fresh to the cliche "jock falls for the nerd" plot. With the COVID-19 pandemic as the backdrop of this drama, we get two opposites who are forced by their teacher to work on a project through remote learning. The classic enemies to lovers-though overplayed in both Het and Gay dramas-still feels nuanced in this drama. None of the characters are unlikable. The chemistry is really palpable and the friendships of the main cast is so rewarding to watch. Most people watching BLs tend to do so because they want to escape from the depressive gay dramas out there, with equally depressing/sad endings. However, that is not to say that these BL dramas are only rainbows and unicorns. They have their fair share of angts/drama/melancholy, but where some Gay films/dramas tend to end in tragedy, majority of BLs end in happy endings. Sometimes, the script ends up suffering because a lot of BLs tend to pander to their base, which is okay, but it may leave some of us who are looking for a good plot feeling decieved.
Hello Stranger feels a lot like "normal life" and by that I mean that the charactes are relatable as is the story; as we (the audience watching this) are also experiencing the COVID-19 pandemic along with the cast. IT feels like "oh that could totally be me right now" It makes the story interesting. It has no frills or real big drama. The "villain" who is the girlfriend ends up being one of the most healthy ex-girfriends in any BL out there. We know how a lot of the time women are used as plot devices to create drama between the gay couple, but her character was handled with such care. I applaud the director and script writer for giving us such a healthy represenation of this type of woman.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend watching it.

This is a subjective review. It is my opinion on what I thought about this piece of work. You may agree or disagree with my opinion. I am not here to discourage anyone from watching anything, please follow your own instincts about what you would like to see. Finally decided to watch the last episode. I was scared too after some of the warnings people were writing, but I was able to just suck it up (buttercup) and watch it. I'm glad I did.
If Rape, Bullying, Cyber-Bullying, gossip, rumors aren't your thing, then this drama isn't going to be on your list of must watch. This drama also deals with societal and family pressures (especially in Asian culture) I will say prepare yourself mentally to watch some scenes that might trigger something.
This was an emotional filled roller-coaster of a mini-drama. It was a bittersweet reality check that often doesn't get told in the BL world. Statistically, women and girls are abused and raped at an alarming rate, however, for men and boys those numbers are not a clear-cut because majority of them do not report their abuse and rape. The ramifications of such violence against a person, be a woman or a man, is so far reaching that it doesn't end just when the act is done, but the effects are felt for years. This drama touched on some of the traumas that victims go through, such as; shame; guilty, depressions, suicidal ideations; isolation, anxiety, PTSD etc. It also showed how some people still view rape as "business as usual" when Keng's parents believed that the offense could easily be fixed with money. Now, while some may frown upon Shin's acceptance of the money, I believe that him the victim, should get to decide how he wants to cope with his victimization.
Characters were well portrayed by the actors. The story itself was really good and I was pleasantly surprised when finally a heavy topic such as rape and assault was not glamorize or romanticized as a trope. It was handled very well. I felt despair for these characters.
I also loved that the directors and writers highlighted without putting in our face, what a healthy relationship could be...Pramote and Bright were the opposite of Shin and Keng. Though we didn't see their development, there were subtle hints that they cared for each other and Bright's personality and how he put Keng on notice about his sick behavior showed that Bright would always have Pramote's well-being in mind, unlike Keng. We get caught up with the violent and psychotic nature of Keng and Shin's story that we almost missed the point that there are healthy same sex relationships as well.
I really feel that this drama wrapped up what can happen with people in such situations in a realistic way. Though the ending is not what I had hoped for, not having clarity as to what happens is better than what the books this is based on tells us.
I don't see myself watching this again. Once is enough for me, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good series...it was and that the actors and the team behind it really did their best to give us an in your face not glamorized series about topics that are often taboo or brushed under the rug.

I'm a big fan of this type of silly everyday comedic story involving BL. IT isn't the greatest dramedy (Drama+Comedy) out there, but it's something that helps entertain you when you have nothing to do or watch. Cast: For the most part, everyone was attractive, funny and actually looked their age. Often, I watch BLs where the actors are extremely young playing older characters or the other way around. Though it is clear these boys are new to the acting world, they weren't too bad. Like someone else mentioned, lots of awkward acting/pauses.
one thing for sure, they were not shy at all to do play or pretend for the sex rated parts.
Story:
I liked that they touched on various subject matters such as; cheating, jealousy, trust and loyalty. I liked that there was something for everyone, from switching roles in the bedroom, to crushes and naive clueless characters. I was one of those people who was rooting so much to T and G from the start and was quite surprised when he ended up with B-whom was the least mature of the three amigos. It was also refreshing to see a Top (T) who could put aside his ego to please his love B though B was an A*hole for pulling the tricks he pulled.
Overall, it's an okay silly drama. Lots of eye candy for sure and lots of moments when you have to cackle out loud with how ridiculous the situations these boys find themselves in. Some of it is outrageous but totally believable. It reminds me a lot of Diary of a Toosie with how silly they are, but they also can handle serious subjects well. I also love the friendship between the boys and how they look out for each other.
I say watch it if you want a good laugh and want to look at hot men.

MDL says that my review must contain at least 500 words! I can't even begin to describe how this drama disappointed me. So I'm going to ramble and ramble and ramble and ramble....Don't get me wrong, I wish these kids the best, but this drama was a CASH-COW scheme. MDL please let me just leave a ONE word review. Really that's all I'm asking you to let me do. I haven't been this disappointed in a drama since WTD 2 and TT...but even those dramas at least elicited more out of me than this.
ONE WORD IS ENOUGH

A waste of actors
This review is intended to offer you my opinion of the series. It is not intended to sway you from watching it as I believe that we all have different tastes and opinions. I personally like to review stories to give people a different perspective. The story was the continuation of Kiss Me again the Series. I don't think for a minute this followed Kiss Me universe and I say this because the main couple, Pete and Kao, are totally different from Kiss Me. So personally, I wouldn't count them in the same world.
The acting was sub-par to what I know some of these actors are capable of doing. Tay Tawan, who I find to be one of the most adorable Thai Actors out there, was the only one to give his character some nuance and development, but even so, in the end, the script fell flat. Newwie, who I found so cute in Kiss Me again and in Sotus, lacked so much acting in DBK. The whole puppy/doe eyed and sometimes flat facial expressions distracted me from the drama. Initially I could empathize with his character, but after a while I just couldn't connect with him and it had a lot to do with his acting.
For the second couple, I wasn't really into their story, but it was watchable. Again, this was due to a very juvenile script and the Telenovela treatment they got.
The supporting actors were honestly great. Even Non (AJ) was so good at being the "villain" that some people really hated him, so I say great job to AJ for being good. I mentioned in the comments before that the real MVPs in this drama were Rain, Kao's mother and Pete's father. I found them to be really well casted and I liked that they supported each boy.
Music was bad. And I mean, really bad...and it's a shame because I learned a few episodes back that the director was the same from He's coming to me (an amazing BL drama and I highly recommend it) and in that drama he and his team picked the best and most nostalgic music to go with the script/story. I would have loved better music for DBK.
Look the drama wasn't horrible, but it really lacked a lot. It could have been a great BL if they had left out at least 70% of the Non drama and focused on Kao's coming out. I find that would have been a better story-line. I still say it's watchable if you have nothing going on and want to waste some time for a new BL, but it was disappointing to me considering how much hype it was getting.
