I feel a lot of people are being very harsh towards the series. It wasn't what we imagined but it wasn't that bad also to get anything below 4.
I will be honest this series did disappoint me as someone who waited 3 years but also read the novel (might I say just 15 chapters of the novel as Lazysheep then went on a break and said she would update only when the series was released. I waited 3 years for the series and 2 years for the novel and now both of them are complete). What won me about Win-Team was the pure relationship depicted in the book. Yes, their relationship started from a 1-night stand but after that Win rarely tries to sleep with Team unlike what is shown in the series. They don't become friends with benefits instead Win starts to take care of Team in the beginning because he feels guilty but later on because he starts caring and then falling for Team. The same goes for Team, torn between achieving his dream and his trauma. He finds peace in being with Win. Their bond is so precious in the book. The dialogues they share and the moments they have. Everything really precious.
That's the only reason why I wouldn't say I liked the plot of the series, so many precious moments and dialogues mismatched just because they needed a plot that could last for 12 episodes. I'd rather shorten the number of episodes and have them follow the novel.
Especially the pool scene and what happens after. It's a turning point in the novel. But it was very underwhelming in the series ... I'd prefer the short clip the studio released in between as a small trailer.
All in all, if you don't really know Win-Team I think you will like this series, I enjoyed it but only because of the actors. I'm being harsh but I really wouldn't be able to watch this series till the end if it wasn't for the cast. I believe both Boun-Prem as well as Win-Team deserved better. Weirdly I didn't think I would get sad when the series ended but I did, as this wasn't just a series for many of us. It was an era and it has finally come to an end.
