Stop being a coward!

Dude, it took you 65 episodes, a break up and your niece to tell you to have guts to tell someone you like her before the opportunity is gone and before you regret it.

You'd better measure up, you- you torpe! >.

The red paper-clip necklace

Everything in this drama is said and done in a round-about way that it would frustrate even the most patient viewer.

But then there are times when you bear with it because you just have to find out what happens next.

The red paper-clip necklace made of very cheap metal--the kind that makes your skin red and itchy, a red paper-clip patiently bent by the hand and carefully twined by a man with sincere intentions.

Seo Ji Suk seongsaeng, who threw this cheap necklace away, picked it up and made it new. Replacing the cheap metal with white gold and spending the night shaping a paper-clip heart, he places the necklace under her table for her to find.

But the dumb fool doesn't make his intentions known.

Straight up with no sugary words

Would there be another tie-up to Soo Ha's monologue with the flashes of conversation that Do Yeon and Hye Seong are having?

Is there a deeper reason why Min Joon Gook acted the way he did 11 years ago? Why would they focus on the pictures on the angel locket that Soo Ha has on his cellphone?

Poor Do Yeon, she has long paid the consequences when she didn't open that courtroom door. So now, how come she gets to suffer for something she's innocent of or not even aware of? And she couldn't even prepare for the shock that Hye Seong gave her!

cameo moment: AGD fans will get it. :P

Incredible contradictions

You could never really guess what goes in the mind of the Fourth Prince. I previously thought Bei'le ye was a scary person for his ambition and political manipulations. But compared to the 4th Prince, the 8th Prince is tame and readable whereas the former is unpredictable and covers his actions with layers of deceit and calculated precision.

This chapter insinuates the 4th Prince's usurpation of the throne--from the faint hint at the Emperor's declining health to the men he carefully placed at the old man's side up to the controversial decree that supposedly snatched the throne from the 14th Prince.

Eeep! Wow, so fast! :O

One relationship ends and one now quickly blooming!

So how do close things with Coach Kawasaki? I hope that it's done neatly like with Natsuki. No shouting, no violence just deadly calm words that cover the emotions that are about to erupt.

That hug looked so good even if it took me by surprise~! Q__Q And then Riko gives one back! Eeep!

Ka-boom!

I enjoy the fact that this drama is fast-paced and yet still manages to keep every developing scene in place.

Again, there's the element of a chance, a coincidence so it seems but really the sequence of events feel like they have perfect timing.

The sunflower for Riko-chan's concert, her realization of her true feelings, Naoki confirming what's been bothering him and Natsuki being exposed for what she truly is...

Delicious subtlety

I am so liking the levels of subtlety at Naoki and Riko's rendezvotus point at South Park. It's so simple yet it hits home.

While Naoki is saying how she should watch the regular season of basketball because he feels he's stronger with her there, the angle steadily shows the two of them in front of the wall art of a toddler holding a bunch of balloons and at the top are the words in bold, "Love makes me strong."

From the start, they were at the periphery of each other's consciousness and now the subtleties are inching their way closer!

Ban makes a decision

Bambino finally learns how to conserve his energy and make his work around the hectic kitchen more efficient. And he learned it the hard way.

But the sooner he makes the decision to stay, his time runs short and his hands-on training at Baccanale draws to a close, forcing him to go back to Fukuoka.

Anticipating what happens next...

I'm interested--in FOOD!

I recently watched Rookies and find Sato Ryuta's Katori a 180-degree turn from his portrayal of Kawato sensei--which I think is refreshing because Kawato's ' I'm-still-smiling-even-if-you-punched-me' attitude ticked me off.

So even if I'd want to root for Ban, I find Katori's personality and actions as WYSIWYG; it gives me a better understanding of his character.

Plus: I got all hungry from all that seafood pasta they were serving~! Q___Q

Houshou-san~~noooooo!

Who stands on which side of the fence is becoming clearer now. But after the 4th episode, I can't believe how Takagi-kun is easily led on.

What? No.

Let me get this straight.

Everything was all revealed in the previous episode. It should be clear what kind of hideous creature dwells in the old woman's body and clearer still what it wants from her.

So why is Arang going to meet the hag alone? Didn't she just remember being stabbed by the lady once in her previous life? And then a second time just an episode ago!

Kiss? You can do better that. :p

Cracked wide open

The mystery that has been building up since Episode 1 finally cracks open by the end of Episode 16.

The sequence of events which led to how Arang ends up being a ghost with no recollection of her past is recounted for the benefit of the audience.

You'll find the Magistrate at the short end of the stick, finding himself in the middle of a conflict of the two most important women in his life.

How he'll manage to disentangle, I can only hope for a clean and satisfying resolution.

Lesson #15: A fictional drama scene really does happen in real life

Because art imitates life. So it is indeed true. Love can outweigh your dreams and make you sacrifice the latter for the former.

And what a great way to realize that than in front of the woman who so desperately wants to know if you still harbor any feelings of affection for her!

So how do we go from here? I wanna know, because Kim Bong Dal-sshi already grew on me. ;)

This drama is becoming a bad habit

Drama, can you not let me stay up for another episode? Honestly, it's 6am and I'm about ready to buy some New Year's fruits yet you leave me with a female lead desperately trying to cover her feelings with a new-found consciousness.

Andwae. I would have loved it more if Bong Dal ahjusshi broke his cover first. But as always, he has the upper-hand; his experience works to his advantage.
