If only the writer put in a little bit more effort...
At first glance it seemed interesting with the impulse control disorder which quickly turned out to be a very poorly written plot device. Around mid way the disorder became whatever the writer wish it to be then it completely disappeared without any mention or cure as if it never happened despite being a major plot point at the beginning and part of the drama's dvertisement. Apparently it's easier to write a generic story-line instead of attempting something slightly different. Anyway, the drama had also an awful love story-line, both were mostly awkward and had no chemistry or whatsoever. The romance was only included out of obligation, might as well remove it.The drama also had pacing issues whether it's regarding the main story or any of the side ones. The main story felt limited in the number of characters it involved, there were mainly 6 characters it was cycling through. There was a desperate need to include more characters to contribute to the main story. The support characters weren't given enough attention and most of their stories were cut short anyway. I low-key wanted to see more of the erratic behavior of Se Yeon's sister. Aside from the earlier parts, the drama didn't have anything interesting.

A big no....
The drama was shot nicely and had a great cast behind it but my god it was utterly boring, brain-dead and uninspired. The writing/dialogue is just too lame as it is, you can feel the cast was struggling to work with it. How the ML behaved was comical and people call it realistic! This is both the director's and writer's first project but it's hard to over look these things. Hope to see Jang Na Ra in better projects.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Disappointing...
Not a fan of the ending, in fact, the entire last 2 episodes were straight up disappointing. Seriously, what did the ML accomplish or gain at the end? Almost nothing. It's like he tricked his mind to think he finished his revenge. The cast was good but I ended up disliking everything else. The drama is a waste of time if you aren't a fan of the cast.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Maybe....
The comedy felt forced sometimes and took away from some serious/casual moments. About 2/3 of the jokes were lame, bland and weren't even suppose to be "jokes" but the background music/sound effects indicated otherwise. At least it was shot nice and the cast was decent.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Ahh.....
Oh god this was awful! Once it finished I double checked if I was missing any more episodes beyond 122 because the drama just ended?! What! I read that the drama was meant to be 120 eps so they probably went over budget. Don't expect anything from this drama, and I mean absolutely NOTHING! Weirdly enough, the antagonist "Hwa Kyung" is treated like a main character and got 75% of the screen-time to herself, meanwhile the main female lead "Woo Jung" treated less of than a support character.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Meh...
Poor directing that reflected on the cast middling performance, especially Joo Ji Hoon who was barely acting maybe because this was his second project. The thriller aspect was weak and the mystery didn't exist, the "baddies" were known too early, like in the first few episodes. Don't even get me started on the supernatural element, total flop. Some may watch it for Shin Min Ah but this is her weakest project imo.The ending was extremely over dramatic that it straight up made it bad. It's okay to have the same "outcome" but what led to it "the final 2 scenes" needed a re-write as it is completely nonsensical in its current state.

Not good...
Well, it's obvious for everyone that Do Jin Woo is the worst part about this drama, every second Jin Woo appeared on screen it felt revolting. In fact, you may include Jin Woo and Seol Ah plot line as a whole in general. I highly doubt anyway would like Seol Ah ending. Looking at what the writer did to Jin Woo and Seol Ah plot line and looking at her previous works, I'm starting to see a pattern. Is it safe to assume it's a reflection of her own life? It's not like the drama didn't have other problems. The drama was interesting for the first few episodes prior to the 9-years time skip, it gave off promising vibes with good build up then became utterly soulless, monotone and even got hit with a massive downgrade in overall quality. Maybe about 90% of the drama was uneventful, things kept going in circles with little to zero progression.
The writing was straight up bad and inconsistent. Some parts you can notice the writer is trying to create some logic but most of the time the writer end up doing the exact opposite. Most of the side stories were weak due to the lack of investment in liking any character, since none of them stands out anyway. This also made the size of the cast feel smaller than it is.
The ending as well was flat, lukewarm and lacked a meaningful conclusion to any character.
Chung Ah and Joon Hwi ending was too quick, while the other characters got a "whatever bs" kind of ending. It's really a shame what this drama ended up being since the beginning was too good, a massive bait and switch tactic.
If you can't stand single digit IQ characters then you should avoid this drama.

Great first half, abhorrent second half!
First half (1-28): Great Glorious Golden Gloria! Lively characters that flow and bounce off each others very nicely. Doesn't look or feel like other generic long running format dramas. Jazzy with a style and a spoken personality. The first half was destined for greatness. No triangle/square? I was jazzing! Amazing performance by Bae Doo Na, I've seen most of her movies but this is the first time seeing her in a drama. I couldn't get the song out my head!Second half (29-50): sucked ass royally!! The biggest flippity flop out there. They sucked the life out of the drama and killed any potentials. No more music, characters got dull and one dimensional, turned to a tasteless washed up melodrama. Bae Doo Na became a one-facial expression actress whispering into the mic barely audible, any personality she had before is now gone. The events such as the retaliation and both couples' relationships issues kept going in a repeating cycle until the last episode. There was some serious insane stretch for the last 10 episodes, almost zero content. I refuse to believe it's the same writer.
Lee Jong Won, a despicable looking actor playing a despicable character in a despicable role. It's even the same case with his other roles, playing as the despicable man. Hard to stomach his presence and this drama is no exception.

Fairies, innit?
For 100 episodes sitcom, it needed a bit larger cast with a few more plotlines. This is why there was some irrelevant guests episodes in the middle parts. After these parts, there was also a weird shift happening. They removed the canned laughter and promptly replaced the mother fairy with a grandmother with no valid explanation. The character replacement wasn't good and messed up the dynamic with the fairies since the grandmother had the opposite personality. Some other characters also promptly disappeared but with no replacement. Most of the material involving the younger cast members was mostly bad, however, the rest managed to make up for that. On the bright side, the twin brothers, fairies and Tae Hee had a good dynamic going on. Some running jokes were pretty decent. Cha In Pyo and Hwang Woo Seul Hye were a great choice to play their respective characters. The wrap up could've been better but it was decent as is.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Too Sexy to Stop
Sexy, unique, provocative and silly. It's quite rare to have a drama with adult rating let alone a long running sitcom. What makes matter ever rarer than it already is, the consistency of the adult theming in a long running format. Usually, these type of shows drop the rating to +15 or something after a few episodes. Basically, the typical bait and switch tactic. The current video quality is super scuffed, unfortunately, I don't see this show getting a proper quality release as it was even neglected by its broadcasting network. Although it had a decent variety in stories and characters but it needed more consistent plotlines running from start to finish. It also needed a better introduction because it threw us right in with barely any introduction of the characters and setting. Anyway, while it had a handful of shortcomings but it offered something new and entertaining.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

Too Poor to Love
The endless chase of money. It started off with a catching premise with some predictable routes that didn't seem to be enough for a full story in 11 episodes package, which is why they had episodes dedicated to some cases at work. These cases affected the story negativity and caused delays that pushed the main story as far as the last 20 minutes. As you may read from the synopsis, her ex began working at the same company but he has a girlfriend who wouldn't reject his poor status which caused a lot of pointless back and forth. His girlfriend didn't offer something worthy to the dynamic of the trio. Instead of some of the cases, I wanted to see better side characters with stories integrated into the main theme. It was an okay drama but it doesn't have much to offer.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Would Rather Be Homeless
It was really not good. The extreme hyper reactions, interactions and acting were unsettling. I'm familiar with this style from Japanese movies/series themed around life/family but they went totally overboard in this one. It was just too forced and fake at every step of the way, even for a theatrical play. The synopsis talked about entrance exams but that was mostly just for the setup and setting while the rest was about some family problems and cheap affairs baits which all were poorly written from start to finish. Due to the lack of any interesting merits, I found myself examining the 90s set design more often than not.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
