It's split up in 17 short episodes following different girls in the class with an hour conclusive episode.
So, should you watch this drama?
For me the first few episodes I found the characters to be pretty unlikeable but getting further in I uderstood that it was the whole point. They grow more and more with each episode.
I guess this is an AKB drama for AKB fans, and it works best if you know these girls beforehand. I think though that you can come into this without knowing anything about them beforehand and still enjoy yourself.
I would recommend it for a decent school drama with a sad and inspirationl touch. It's powered up by having pre-knowledge of AKB, but can still be enjoyed.

Superb!!! The story revolves around the 2 families which under unfortunate circumstances had to try to get along with each other. Through fights and more fights they were eventually drawn closer as one real big happy family. Each family member has his/her own story to tell and you will love everyone of them. Romantic relations were comically and beautifully grown amidst the chaos in the family. The chemistry between the main couple was awesome, it felt real and not just acting. All the characters were so funny that you will burst into laughter every second of the episodes. But its not just about being funny it also has a huge amount of crying moments, laughing and crying with only minutes of interval. I even found myself laughing and crying at the same time, it was like a roller coaster ride watching this drama.
Overall I give this a rate of 10 :)
This is my favorite drama so far..
Don’t hesitate, WATCH IT! You wont have any regrets..

At the beginning of the ep I was afraid this was gonna be a Protect the Boss-wannabe drama. You know, the fussy, rich and somewhat rude boss on one hand and the poor, hard-working and vexed employee on the other.
Hyuga Toru also has an inability, the prosopagnosia (He has problems remembering faces), which draws his character closer to Cha Ji Heon in Protect the Boss, even if the latter has agoraphobia. Or fear of speaking in front of crowds, can’t remember well now. But still.
It seems to me that more and more characters, if they’re meant to be the cocky main lead, they have to have some clinical problems. I mean, LOL.
Take also Hwang Tae Kyung in You’re Beautiful: he suffers from the fear to be infected or get dirty by other people, several allergies, night blindness, problems of social relationship since he avoids physical contact and has problems dealing with feelings. Oh, and he’s obsessed with order and perfection
So.
I’d say Hyuga Toru is not the worst complexed guy in dramas :D
The only thing that disappointed me is that they keep making ARATA look like an ojisan. It really gets on my nerves, because I’ve known him with Snakes & Earrings and he was so charming back then. I liked him in Blue Automobile, too. But in Hanamizuki and Mitsu no Aji they glued to him that ojisan-feeling, as if he weren’t young and able to be cool anymore.

I preferred this Ren & Mio a lot more. the actors chemistry was good and they acted well together. I actually liked them a lot more than the Korean actors.
The music was the same as the Korean version, just in japanese & there was an added song which is probably the best song from both versions.
All in All, it's a good drama. i rewatch it again all the time (:

The acting was amazing! Especially on Ming Dao's part. He played both Junhao and Da ou so completely well that it actually made you believe they could be different people. The female lead... made me want to throw my laptop out the window and never turn on this drama again. HOWEVER, when i did warm up to her after a few episodes she became one of my favorite characters and most of the reason i continued to watch.
The music was not the best but it fit the mood. I think they had like two tracks, one sad and one happy where they would play each episode at their respected parts. I found this amusing more then anything else. reminded me of bof and 'almost paradise'.. XD
Despite there being 30 episodes to this drama, I enjoyed every single one of them. At episode 15, i remember thinking what could they possibly add to this story to fill 15 more episodes? But they somehow magically did! watching the last few episodes I felt so sad knowing it was ending and wishes there could be 15 more.
I would definitely watch this drama again. I'm not the hugest fan of Taiwanese dramas either because I don't know the language as well as Korean and Japanese but this one surprised me :) I would definitely recommend it ^^

I hesitated for one year whether I should watch this drama or not because I heard it is sad, however now that I've watched it I have to say it was very amusing and entertaining. It got a bit sad towards the end, however Lee Seung Ki's acting totally blew me away! He is one hell of an actor because he plays his role with a lot of passion and Shin Min Ah is sooo cute that I found myself repeating her lines like a lunatic while walking on the street hahaha.
This drama is a MUST watch because it is different from other dramas even though it has some bits that can be seen in every korean drama nowadays. You have to watch it!
P.s. Just a piece of advice: you will become hungry during the drama especially if you like meat because they always eat -.- so grab something to chew on while watching it.
Enjoy! :)

About the music backgrounds, it heightened the scenes and the acting as well but I haven't had any particular song that I sticks to my mind.
I definitely would watch this again in the future because of its compelling story and great actors. Overall, I recommend that you see this drama. You'll love the different historical point of view it showed and especially the main lead actor which never fails to amaze me throughout the story.

I recently finished watching Unstoppable High Kick as have started High Kick Through the Roof, also known as High Kick 2, which a second season of the High Kick sitcom series with different characters. Although some of the cast from the first season appear as cameos. The seasons are totally unrelated.I started off my love for all things Korean with Unstoppable High Kick. It was my first drama and I have to say, it is my favorite. Unstoppable High Kick has this kind of 'fun' family setting. I have thought many times that it would be so great if I could just place myself among the Lee family and live my life with them. I know, for sure I could never say life was boring.
The sitcom takes us through a joy ride of the daily lives of the Lee family and the 'psuedo-family'(what the show refers to friends of the family who are in their household most of the time- basically act like it's their house). We are shown the ups and downs in the lives of each character in the family. This is what I love the most about this drama. Each character gets the floor at a certain point and we see things in their perspective. The daily lives of this characters are hilarious. The coincidences, the situations, will make you laugh. Though, rarely will you crack your sides with laughter.
Lee Soon Jae, the head of the household (grandfather) is beating and chasing his eldest son, Lee Junha, around the house, for causing him to lose money in his stocks. Lee Junha's wife, Park Haemi is lecturing her mother-in-law, Na Munhee, about the faults she made when doing the housework. Na Munhee is extremely angry because her daughter-in-law treats her so condescending though her feelings are only expressed in her thoughts. Lee Junha and Park Haemi's youngest son, Lee Yunho, the 'bad guy', is chasing his younger brother, Lee Minho( the studious one) and Lee Minho's best friend, Kim Beom, who got the title "home-stay Beom". Lee Minyoung, who is the youngest son of Na Munhee and Lee Soon Jae, would most likely not be present, since he acts anti-social towards his family. Although, the romance part of the show includes him. Hwang Chansung, a classmate of the boys and calls himself Yunho's bestfriend, is listening to Hip-hop through his headphones and breakdancing amidst all the ruckus. Na Hyemi and Kang Yoomi are fighting with each other.
^That my friend, is the Lee Household in a nutshell.
And of course, the reason why I started watching this 167 episode drama was because of Kim Beom and Kim Hye Sung(Lee Minho)'s bromance. They displayed a deep friendship throughout the show, even hints of some yaoi- but nay. Though, they had a few fights throughtout the show. Not to mention:
Minho: Beom.
Boem: Minho.
Minho: Beom!
Minho: Minho!
[insert hug here.]
Well sorry for the long review. It's just that I really love this sitcom and would recommend it. Don't let anything deter from watching it. Overall, I enjoyed watching this show a lot. Compared to the second season, the first is superior and I enjoyed it much more.
Some quotes from the drama:
"What the...All the people in this family are crazy"~Nurse Yu
"Why does everything in this family have to be so abnormal?" ~Park Haemi
“No one in that family is normal.” ~Nurse Park

I just chose it without any thoughts. At the time, I was in "japanese dramas mood" so I watched many japanese dramas without being picky or impatient.
2) Storyline/Plot:
To start with, I am not familiar with the story since I haven't read the manga or even heard about it so this was my first time getting to know the storyline.
Positive points:
*This drama's story made me interested ever since the first 10 minutes and that's really rare to happen since I never care about first episodes because they don't make much difference yet this drama's story made me really invested in its events so waiting for the next episode was a real torture.
*Main Genres:
--->Humor: Yes, this drama was funny because it was hilarious all over, sometimes it felt like anime scenes that was funny and entertaining most of the time.
The comedy concept was present too, we get to see funny characters with funny scenes. I have to point that Nika's inside conversations were really awesome which can bring good laughter.
--->Romance: it wasn't that deep nor that light. The romance in this drama was equilibred in a way that would make you invested in the romantic development and the whole concept. The teenage love story was cool to watch since it was light enough.
--->School: The usual concept that you find in school dramas; friends, enemies, teachers, popularity, nerds and so on. I've seen many school dramas before so this wasn't something special yet Switch Girl was more enjoyable.
Negative points:
*I can't think of any, except that this drama was too damn short! They should've made it longer, it felt rushed sometimes but that didn't ruin the whole concept.
Story: 8.5/10
3) Acting/Cast:
*Nishiuchi Mariya:
I am not familiar with her as an actress, she was introduced to me through this drama and what a great introduction! I liked her acting skills and enjoyed her role in a good way. From now on, I will anticipate her new dramas.
The character was great: Nika made us sad sometimes, excited some other times and entertained most of the time.
The ON and OFF modes were really awesome, I couldn't choose since both of them were enjoyable and funny; everyone of us have that hidden side within himself yet here it was exagerated to make it look captivating and hilarious.
*Kiriyama Renn:
I only saw him in "Hana Kimi Remake" but here he was different so I didn't know what to expect yet I surprised myself by accepting his general acting and role.
The character wasn't enjoyable like Nika's but I liked it anyway. Arata's appearance was nice and great sometimes; he may sound stiff at some points but all of that was decided by the storyline so I haven't focused much on that fact.
Another point that I should mention: Arata with or without glasses didn't sound contradictory to me; it was the same character with a different look.
*Other Cast: The supporting roles were cool and well chosen even the school nerds; no complains.
*Relationships:
--->Romance : The chemistry wasn't that great because romance wasn't deep enough.
--->Nika's family: Her mother and sister were always good to look at plus their adventures as a family was always hilarious.
--->Nika's school: Friends were good and the Monkey Boss made events entertaining sometimes.
*In each episode there were new cast and that's exactly what I love about J-dramas because with different cast comes different events, there's no spinning around the same point.
Cast: 8/10
Acting: 9/10
4) The ending:
I appreciated the ending, I was glad because they haven't took it to the usual concept of hiding something yet it wasn't that special, only acceptable and cool to watch: Nice ending overall.
The ending: 8/10
5) My impression (How did it affect me):
*I realy enjoyed this drama, even the waiting for upcoming episodes was fun.
*I haven't skipped any parts and that's really rare since I am an impatient person, believe me if I don't skip parts that means there weren't any chance of getting bored (well, that could be explaned by the fact that the episode's length was only 27 minutes).
*Is this drama memorable: Yes definitely, I enjoyed it so much. Even though, I finished it weeks ago, I still remember each and every event.
My impression: 9/10
6) Overall:
*If you like funny romantic school dramas then you would like this.
*If you like girls dramas you will enjoy this.
*If you're looking for a great female lead you may actually like this.
Overall: 8.5/10.
