Gomen, Aishiteru is the Japanese version of I'm Sorry, I Love You. In my opinion the Japanese version is better. And Nagase Tomoya is great!
they are both very sad and emotional and when i watched both these dramas i cried like a baby but they are full of love and sadness.
I'm Sorry, I Love You (Korean: ????, ????; RR: Mianhada, Saranghanda) is a 2004 South Korean television drama series starring So Ji-sub and Im Soo-jung. It aired on KBS2 from November 8 to December 28, 2004, on Mondays and Tuesdays for 16 episodes.[1]
the third movie for the same writer of love to kill and will it snow for Christmas.. it contains the same great entwined stories that reflects the emotions of love hate , revenge, and, passion. it's really masterpiece with the soundtrack too
Both of the shows main characters learn and have to deal with their impending death. It's an interesting comparison to see the two different approach each character takes before dying.
-Both REVENGE ROMANCE MELODRAMAS, where male lead takes revenge on family (direct family & family-in-law respectively)
- Both have a leading male actor whose acting is AMAZING! (Green Rose: Go Soo. ISILY: So Ji Sub)
-I'm Sorry I Love You is better (10/10!) , so it's better to watch Green Rose first, other way around may feel like a step-down, especially GR male lead's trauma might seem very light in comparison to the trauma of ISILY male lead's.
-ISILY has a more sympathetic/tragic male lead than GR
-ISILY is more romance-focused & the love story MUCH better
-GR is slow-paced, while ISILY has a much better pace/doesn't drag or bore you
