Interesting premise, main leads don't really have chemistry
There's a new rising genre of e-sports/gamer dramas and anime. I liked the premise and I liked the tone of the film - it was lighthearted and cute. I liked Weiwei's friends and I liked a female protagonist who was smart and competent in her own field.Unfortunately, the two main leads didn't have much chemistry and this was meant to be a romance. So by the fifth or so episode, it gets a bit boring. Both the leads, while good-looking, didn't really emote much, so it was hard to feel really attached to them or feel convinced that the two of them were falling in love.

Cute Premise, Problematic Execution
While the premise to this story was cute, I didn't love the execution. The biggest problem was the sound editing. It became increasingly obvious as the show went on that the lead actress was dubbed - the movement of her lips and the dubbed voice were just slightly off from one another. I'm uncertain if other characters were dubbed, but it was not nearly as obvious as the FM lead. I also wasn't the biggest fan of her acting. She seemed very stiff and standoffish, particularly in comparison to the ML lead's passion and adoration. It's not an issue in the earlier episodes, but I'd expect her to be less stiff the more they dated each other. All that said, it was refreshing to find a drama featuring a couple with little communication issues. Others may have attempted to come in-between them, but they were committed to each other. If you prefer a couple with drama, this may not be the show for you.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
I don't get it
Likes: Yang Yang is easy on the eyes.Dislikes: Everything else.
I don't get why this drama is so popular. I guess it's not my cup of tea because I'm not really into video games and basically from the 5 episodes that I've watched, the majority of the episodes are role playing in a video game. Where's the story and where's this amazing chemistry that I keep hearing about? Maybe I've dropped this too soon, but if a drama can't grab me by ep 5, I don't see the point to continue.
Ah well. To each his own.

Overall, I think the story is cute and simple. Like others romantic-comedy drama, this one is light. The story follows the leads' life and surprisingly it didn't make me bored at all! But it would be perfect if the ending is something bigger not just an ordinary ending. Same with Boss & Me, the ending is meh, but okay and good. Maybe they followed the novel ending, so idk, I didn't read the novel.
My only complaint is the one who played Wei Wei. I know she's beautiful, and her acting is okay. But sometimes I feel like lack of emotion, and sometimes she's just not totally deliver it. But well, I don't even know her. I never watched her in other dramas. But I still like it.
