You think you know where the story is going, but then they throw a few "huh!?" moments at you. It keeps you on your seat, eagerly waiting to find out what happens next.
It's a very dramatic yet touching story and something I would recommend to those who enjoy a good plot filled with the twists and turns we all know and love from dramas.
(Though a warning to those with triggers, as there are some light ones)

So I decided to rewatch this drama from start & finished the ending! Yeah:)
Story: I haven't seen a lot of melodramas in Japan when I first watched it, so it was my first Japanese melodrama. The plot drove me to tears! Some parts of this dramas actually creeped me out(in a suspenseful way).
Acting: I loved the main leads together. They had pretty good chemistry together. I loved Narimiya Horiki in this drama. He was endearing to watch & so was Fukushi Seiji who plays Kanon's brother.
Music: Some were great. One song was played over & over during the drama. I like the main theme song & one other song that you have to listen to youself(watch the drama).
Rewatch: I put low because I was crying so much by the end of this drama & I don't want to have to cry all over again. But I'll rewatch it if I'm in for some melodrama

A Brothers Love
This story is so complex, it's hard to say how I came out of this feeling. There were some positives to this as well as negatives, but I just couldn't seem to connect with the characters on the screen enough to want anything for them. Except for Kanon. She and her brother were shining lights in this drama, and I wanted it to focus all on them. The story revolves around the FL lead, Kanon, who's brother was convicted of the murder of their parents. She is shunned in society for parricide and treasures the happy moments of the people she passes by as she is alone. She ends up falling in love with a man who is still in love with his comatose fiancé. Although it was only two episodes, it felt MUCH longer. They packed a lot of elements in this, and the storyline deals with several different characters throughout. That might be why I had trouble caring. There was so much going on, but not in the right places in my opinion. The romance line fell flat for me as, even though I cheered Kanon on for her happiness, I couldn't make myself like the male love interest. His character came off as severally one-dimensional, oblivious, and just plain undeserving.
Anywho, that isn't to say Innocent Love is all bad. It deals with some very heavy issues including child abuse and the affect the press has on certain events. There were ups and downs, but ultimately it was about sacrifice, unconditional love, and moving on to make yourself happy. The OST is actually quite pretty and I enjoyed the music. The plot-line was the most wavering factor for me, with too much and not enough going on simultaneously. The love is very bittersweet, and takes most of the drama to develop, but it did left me with a nice feeling by the end.
All in all, would I watch again? Probably not. Am I upset I watched it? No, not really. I would recommend if you're looking for something short, but a little content heavy.
