Ruler of Your Own World (2002)

Another strong, character driven drama. Dramas like this touch your heart and move your soul. The people in them could be you, your friend, your family member. Virtually devoid of the cliches that Kdrama is famous for, this is an adult drama for adults who have lived life and its hardships and survived. The acting and writing are spot on. It is relatable, heart warming, lovely. If you give it a chance, you might love it too.

Both are low-key dramas featuring a main character who works as a pickpocket. Ruler of Your Own World is somewhat more melodramatic while Yoona's Street has a slice-of-life vibe to it.

Both dramas have similar female/male leads. The girls are both tomboys and the boys are both childlike/innocent and harbor a deadly disease. Both dramas also have a melancholy and at times comedic atmosphere. I have little doubt that if you loved on drama, you'll love the other.
