its my first review writing!! so please ignore my mistakes
okay ! HUA JAI SILA OR HEART OF STONE is my second Thai drama as I prefer action , suspense over a typical romance and torture that can be often seen in THAI DRAMA , but you know this made 'an exception' for me [even with presence of slap and kiss] because of following reasons-1. ACTING- wow bang !!! everyone did a great job especially Thanapob Leeluttanakajorn (P'TOR) and his step mother , Ann Siriam Pakdeedumrongri . At least i feel so.
2. SUSPENSE- you won't believe me every episode feel like a new world with new suspense. Each episode makes you carve for another episode.
3. ROMANCE- its sad to know that at least till 16th episode you will find less scenes of MIN and SILA/P'TOR . Its surprising to know that in between [from 1st to 16th] i found minimum 20 scenes of them together . I CAN't tell for further episode as while i'm writing the review , drama is still airing
*EDIT-IN FURTHER EPISODES YOU GUYS WILL EXPERIENCE MORE SCENES OF THEM TOGETHER*
ROMANCE BETWEEN THEM IS SO SWEET!! good chemistry between actors !
4.REVENGE- way of revenge will be the main attraction of this drama. I literally jumped many times on my sofa when p'tor took revenge from his step relatives [mom n brother]
5. MALE LEAD- yes you read correctly! actually i became so much attracted by Thanapob's [ P,'TOR] sarcastic smile. Well i know it won't be a reason to watch for almost everyone but if you are looking a drama with an actor having great personality and acting skills , you should prefer this.
6. THRILL-omg I just can't explain this point .This one you will find in later episodes but it would compensate for earlier ones.
7. RE-WATCH VALUE- its 10 on 10 from my side (*_*)
8. Music- OPENING SONG (ost) is very nice..
9. ENDING-its most important thing for some people (for me too)...its of course a happy ending we all expect for [marriage n all] but the main thing is it will taught u A GREAT LESSON ABOUT LIFE. I'M REALLY INSPIRED WITH 3-4 LINES SAID BY ML ....[U SHOULD CHECK OUT IT ON UR OWN]
At first i had also prefered a TYPICAL ROMANCE BUT NOW I PREFER ACTION MORE AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A TYPICAL ROMANCE OR FANTASIES THEN DON'T GO FOR THIS , I REPEAT DON'T WATCH THIS .
By typical romance i mean- a genius boy or rich boy with clingy or naive or poor girl

Good, Could Be Better
I expected a little more from this highly recommended lakorn but was a bit disappointed. The biggest disappointment was the female lead. Honestly, she felt like an unnecessary character. For the first half of the drama none of her actions contributed to the plot in any way. I nearly forgot she was the female lead at one point. She just kept hating on the ML for questionable reasons. I get that she was trying to “protect” her sister...but her ways of going about it are really pathetic, especially after all the beatings she got from her sis. She’s unreasonably judgmental. Right from the get-go she assumed the ML was a bad guy because he took a pregnant woman to the hospital. She also kept bringing up his profession as an insult. Not to mention she has no backbone at all. Her sister did all sorts of horrible things to her and she never stood up for herself. There’s minimal character development for her. I did enjoy the interactions between the FL and the ML though. They have good chemistry. Also the actress playing FL is beautiful. The ML was also disappointing when he slept with the FL’s sister. I was pissed off when he did. His character carried the show though. The villains were good but generic. You have the evil, stuck-up rich madam and the conceited bitches you typically see in a lot of dramas.
The ending was good. It is a happy ending for anyone wanting to know. Ultimately I wouldn’t rate this higher than a 7. Maybe it’s because I came in with high expectations. I really did love the main couple’s relationship, just wished the FL had more development.
The acting was great. The actors and actresses fit into their role nicely. The cast is full of beautiful people (*ahem* ML *ahem*). The FL did good despite the character. The ML was awesome and had good facial expressions. Aunt Mam was probably one of my favorite characters and the actress playing her was phenomenal. The villains were also good. All in all the acting was superb.
The music was alright.
I do recommend this show, as a lot of people like it. But go in with less expectations. I would rewatch out of boredom. Otherwise I would rewatch for the moments the main couple had.

Like it yet dislike it ?!
So I've seen tons of Asian shows from many years, but this is my first Thai Lakorn. If I'm not wrong, Thai Lakorn are basically Thai soap operas (please correct me if I'm wrong). I've not seen many soap operas, so maybe my opinions would be directed to the genre itself rather than this specific show. But I've tried to be as reasonable as possible in my review.I never thought I'll watch a show which will be liked and disliked by me at the same time. But Hua Jai Sila proved me wrong....turns out I can have this conflicting feeling for a show. There are so many things to like about this and so many things to dislike....so without further adieu lets jump into it.
Likes !
1. It’s a very fast paced story. In every episode there is so much happening, you can’t skip episodes. The narration is pretty consistent (thanks to good screenplay). Even though the core elements of the story aren’t new, its tight execution makes it interesting to watch. You won’t know what to expect next, there is a surprise element.
2. Superb acting! Every single person in the cast did a great job. I cannot fault anyone. This is the first Thai show I watched which gave a memorable performance (according to me). Definitely impressed. Special shout out to Wattanajinda Sirapan, this woman is breathtaking. If she’s onscreen, you can’t dare to look anywhere else. I’m her new fan.
3. The main lead, Thanapob Leeluttanakajorn is mind blowing. His character not only demanded intense emotions and acting skills, but also charisma and an overall majestic aura. I have seen few clips from Project S (one of his earlier work), and man it took me some time to figure out that it’s the same person! He has transformed himself in every possible way to get inside the skin of his character in HJS, and kudos to him for that. I’ve got my eyes on him, will definitely be keeping track of his future projects. Hands down the next big thing in the Thai entertainment industry.
4. The Romance. Where do I begin? If you want to watch a couple which gives you the vibe of Romeo-Juliet; the couple that’s only made for each other and no one else; the couple that can die for each other and will die without each other…..then you have to watch this show. There is something extremely special about Thanapob Leeluttanakajorn and Fern Nopjira Lerkkajornamkul. Their chemistry is something which very few artists are able to create. The onscreen ease, sexual tension, passion, and melt worthy emotional moments between them is quite a spectacle to witness. I won’t be surprised if I get to know that these actors dated or are dating in real life….they are that good.
Dislikes!
1. SERIOUS TRIGGER POINTS ! If you are someone who is sensitive to violence of any kind, especially against woman or feels personally about injustices/discrimination of all types….then please either avoid this show or watch cautiously. There were many moments that made me pause this show so that I can watch a cartoon to divert my mind from this insanity. It’s not that I’ve not seen more mature content in the past, but there is something very icky about some aspects of the story. I won’t say much otherwise it’ll be considered a spoiler.
2. Please divorce logic when you start watching this show. There will be gazillion moments in the show that will make you go what the hell….I’m not kidding. If I start dissecting this show purely on logical terms then it won’t get more than 4 from me. Some moments are bizarre, random and completely unnecessary…..and some downright stupid. So if you decide to watch this one then forget logic and try enjoying it for what it is.
3. The characters are either one dimensional or at the most two dimensional. If you expect to see complex characters that have layered reasoning behind their actions….or a story that relishes character development then this one isn’t for you. The characters are either good or bad….they change from good to bad and vice versa overnight without much development so please don’t feel frustrated if you see that.
P.S- The OST by Yes’Sir Days is a complete earworm….I’ve been listening it on Youtube constantly.

This lakorn is about a boy who gets revenge on his stepmother who abused him and killed his mom. The story is actually pretty good and I liked the overall message the lakorn was saying. It was clearly seen how revenge just ebbed on more revenge until someone dies. It also hurts everyone in the process. We see how Tor successfully gets his revenge on Sida, who is a terrible person, and it's quite satisfying to watch. We also get to see how he outwits Sida's dumbass son who is also just a garbage person. The drama actually does a good job setting up these characters, especially the 2ndry ones, in a way where we may not disagree with their actions, but we understand why. I'd actually like to give a mini character review on some of them:Sida: She has an extreme superiority complex and it's easy to see why she did the terrible things she did. Her husband had a mistress of low origins and had a child with her, effectively slapping Sida in the face. She's honestly the cruelest character I've ever watched and a smart villain. However I feel like with how resourceful she is, she should've been able to find out who Sila was a lot sooner. I was surprised they left it to near the end and honestly it would've been more interesting and less one-sided.
Sawit: A good for nothing son. I would've thought with how often he gambled that he would've noticed how Sila rigged the games. But I guess it's just showing how dumb he is. I kinda get why he is the way he is; his father never loved him and he's constantly talked down by Sida, who doesn't trust or have any confidence in him. I wasn't sad to see him go but I did pity him when he died.
Mam: I really liked her character a lot. She had Tor's best interests at heart and is overall a good person. However if she had been smarter then she wouldn't have died so pointlessly. Her first mistake was giving the cuff links to her lover when his wife had already seen them with her. Her second mistake, which was the biggest, was going to meet Sida without any backup. She underestimated her and it costed her life in the end.
Now let's talk about Tor and Min. I didn't have any problems with Tor (he's a great character, complex and fleshed out). but boy did I have a lot of problems with Min. She is the epitome of a character who's only purpose is to retain humanity in the male lead. Min was quite annoying in the beginning when she was nosing into her sister and Tor's business and it was frustrating to watch her get beaten down by her step-mom and sister. I can at least admit that she was consistent in her character and was aware of her low origins but chose to be strong and move on. Her character does get better in the end. But I always felt like she wasn't her own person; instead she was just this character that was there to remind us that Tor has a soft side and isn't a revenge crazed monster.
I'm sorry to say the romance left little to be desired. I felt like I was watching two teens act out what their idea of romance was. Sure they're childhood friends but nothing in their childhood suggested anything romantic. Also I didn't really see why Tor would need to be with Min; there was a point where he was like "Forget about me, I came too far to be your man" then in the next episode he can't live without her and gets possessive. Like...wtf? At least build it up and show why he needs her. It wasn't very nuanced and I really wasn't invested into their relationship.
I think a lot of people will disagree with my opinions and that's fine. This is just what I felt while watching the lakorn. I would say to give watching this a shot and see how you'd like it. The music is not bad either. Would not rewatch this though.

Hua Jai Sila was a phenomenal drama, riveting from beginning to end and that’s due to:
1) the script. It was extremely well written and visually accomplished on screen:
A man who was physically abused by his step-mother and brother as a child and was believed to be dead comes back years later as an adult under a different name to dispense revenge on those that hurt him. What he didn’t count on was meeting his childhood sweetheart and falling in love with her all over again, making him dwell between his feelings of revenge and the love he feels for her throughout his path to vengeance.
2) The choice of leads was spot on.
Tor as Sila was outstanding. It’s rare to see an actor portray an array of 3 or more distinctive emotions within 6 seconds. He went from aloof to kind to furious in a blink of an eye.
Fern was a good match for him as Min. Their chemistry worked and their push-pull game of love added spice and sweetness to what would have been just another revenge drama and it showed the human side of Sila.
3) The supporting cast raised the drama’s bar with equally mesmerizing performances making Hua Jai Sila a solid drama throughout its 27 episode run.
4) The OST added depth to the already a great story.
Rewatch value: 10 out of 10 when it should actually be an 11.

The lakorn is about Sila ,who wants to get back at his stepmother and stepbrother .But He forgott that he has to meet also his chilhood best Feind Mintra ,a Girl who always was there for him.Mintra is suspecting that he is Tor ( Tor is Sila but he changed his name because of revange) and try to get close to him but Sila tell her every time they meet he is not Tor.Sila is in love with Mintra since they was children, but he can‘t tell her that because he doesn‘t want to get her involved in his revange.

A hot mess in the best way possible.
This is my second Lakorn and if you've never seen this genre before, you should try it, just for the fun of it. From the acting to the music, the story, the makeup and wardrobe, they tend to get very dramatic, very fast, which makes for an entertaining watch. In Hua Jai Sila, they've got everything but the kitchen sink to amp up the story; kidnappings, bombs, sword fights, cat fights, gun fights. You name it, they'll work it into the story. If this were a kdrama, I would describe it as makjang. I had plenty of laughs watching the show, just because of the constant barrage of bizarre, WTF moments. There is no logic whatsoever. But the amazing thing is, I couldn't keep my eyes away. I got caught up in all the drama thanks to the actors who bring their characters to life. The standout of the show, hands down, is the male lead (Thor Thanapob Leeluttanakajorn). He gives a mesmerizing performance; one of the best I've ever seen. And that, comes from someone who has seen a lot of dramas; I mean, A LOT. Thanks in large part to him, I now consider this drama one of the best and one of my all time favorites. His embodiment of the role of Sila is exceptional. I do believe he carried the show to another level.Sila is a man on a mission to mete out his revenge on those who left him for dead as a child. Now the head of several businesses, including casino and nightclub, he is charismatic, formidable, and incredibly hot. I recalled watching the beginning of the first episode and was getting ready to drop, until I saw him deliver a scathing remark and then walk off like he doesn't give a fudge, that I had to continue. He was so intriguing I wanted to see more and ended up staying for the whole drama.
Sila's romance with Min (Fern Nopjira Lerkkajornnamkul) is, of course, the most engaging part of the drama (besides him). I wasn't as bothered by Min as much as other viewers. I attributed her initial character flaw to the weak writing and looked past it; so it didn't distract me from the story. Her stupid assumptions about Sila creates conflicts as she would often seek him out to confront him, leading to intense arguments that are very compelling to witness. Their chemistry is fantastic. I felt like there were fireworks going off every time they are on screen together. The power dynamic always skew towards Sila but I did not find it aggravating. He is aggressive at times but never cruel, and their push and pull creates electrifying moments between them that made for an engrossing watch. It is the same reason why the rewatch value is so high for me. With the eagerness to know what would happen next out of the way, I was able to slowly appreciate Sila and Min's convincing portrayal of their complicated love and all the emotion, tension, and intensity that comes with it. The more I rewatched, the more I loved that it took me some time before I could move on to the next drama.
I'll say that there will be numerous occasions where you'll find yourself utilizing the skip button as you dive into this drama. It'll also require a good suspension of disbelief. But I assure you that what matters most will give you all that you need to stay with no regrets.

The story can be viewed as a fable about the futility of revenge and the path to forgiveness. Tor/Sila played by Tor was amazing as the abused and tortured pra'ek that wanted to seek revenge for what was done to him as a child. Sweet baby Jesus, Sila was definitely sweet on the eyes but his charisma and on-screen presence was unbelievable. He honestly carried the drama for me, along Aunt Mam (badass strong woman) and Sida (who was soo good at playing nang’rai, I actually felt sorry for her at the end). You can see his inner pain and turmoil over exacting this revenge, which he has been planning since he was a child. It was interesting to see how he masterminded the revenge, it was thrilling and even though I was vouching for him to win at every turn, the question remained.... is it worth it?
Mintra played by Fern is a new face for me, and I've been in this lakorn game for a long time. Min was the classic, self-sacrificial, kind and hard-working nang’ek; albeit some parts were frustrating especially when she was literally getting berated by her sister/mother and also misunderstanding Sila, but the latter did make for some good slap/kiss scenes! Min and Sila's chemistry was amazing, I think they're my new favourite koo jin! The height difference was swoon worthy, but I love how they "feed off" each other's emotions and make it electrifying. Min is the flower needed for Sila's stone heart; to make him realise that we should not let our past define us, because it can lead to the destruction of our present and future.
Overall, it is a good drama to watch! Don't feel bad when you find yourself hitting the fast forward button, sometimes lakorn have TOO MUCH prolonged dramatic scenes involving close up shots of the characters face! Also I LOVE the ending!

Summary of what i like
*MAM!MAM!MAM! I really love her character and how bad ass she was taking out those men in her dress. She was no damsel in distress and I wish more female characters were like her.
* sida’s acting was spot on
*Tor/sila his revenge was well played out. I liked how smart he is and how handsome / sexy he is.
*sila’s employees loyalty to him was bomb. All the ladies and the guards too
* the chemistry of the leads was good in the later episodes. I love their cute lil dance in the last episode.
Summary of things I hate
* Female leads character was such a waste. She is really pretty but for the first 16 episodes she only made this drama worse trying to prove ****.repeating a cycle of cat chase and fight with the male lead. I waited for her redemption, character development, anything that could make me like her but not one reasonable decision was made by her till the last episode.
*some scenes were dragged out so much, I would skip 20 secs and still be at the same scene of tor staring or something lol
*the prostitution part was not cool to me because of my morals
*overacting of many characters
In conclusion watch it but the skip button will be your friend.

-Charming male lead who respects female due to his work with them. It was so nice seeing that he has some female accomplice helping him in his revenge and all of them are soo nice
-story with a high binge watch value
- Great cast of characters who creates strong emotions in you ( Good & Bad)
-slow burn relation of M.L & F.L
WHAT I DISLIKED
-female lead, her personality and the action she takes also feels so flat. All in all my dislike towards her is balanced by the male lead. So i cant complain
- the last few episode were a struggle to get through.
I have to say as much as i loved watching it, i probably wont remember it much and the after feeling is not too good as well. which is why i gave it only 7

For 15 years our Male Hero, the night-club owner Sila Wisaetworawade have waited for a right time to start out his quest for revenge. He is respected and feared by everyone underneath and over his status, and has come to be a mastermind in both business and crime. He makes a deal with his aunt Mam, that if the villains still doesn`t get their karma and continues to murder people,he will wait no longer to take a step to create that karma against them himself. Its his step-mother and half-brother he wants to punish...and in turn that quest for revenge also turns into an obsession. The only one who stands in his way, is his reunion with his child-hood friend and the only human being who always treated him with kindness, the now bold and bright architect Mintra Kanaseegoon who finds his very resemblance to her once a dear child-hood friend Tor. Sure they are the same persons she is stubborn with insisting that its the same Tor who drowned to death that same horrific night. But in this journey of wills and fights...the bond between Sila and Mintra surfaces into a blooming love neither of them could ever resist.
Every episode meant a lot to me, and to watch the character developements of Sila is a trip i could never get tired of. Tor`s performance as the cold-hearted,ambitious,deceptive seducer and a gamer as Sila is sexy, charismatic and beautiful all at the same time. After seeing Tor`s performance in the romantic fanatsy comedy "Leh Lub Salub Rarng" in a supporting role, a saw a lots of potential from him as a actor and entertainer...and damn how happy i was for him to prove that potential in a as complex Anti-hero role as Sila in "Hua Jai Sila". He carried on a weight of pain and loneliness that showed in Sila`s eyes. He had lost everything because of his step-mother...even his own identity after she tried to kill him. He is like a hell-bent bitter man that are suffocated in this world of principles and glamour he now lives in. I love that his aunt Mam was the one who could bring true warmth to this cold-hearted young man...and as he said:she was the reason he could live on and not get full head mad and self-destructive. But in the mean time his beloved soulmate Mintra is the only one who could distract him, capture his mind in a sense no one else could, fill him with real happiness and make him open his heart for the whole world to see. She became his heart, and without her he would never be able to live.
Ferny`s acting as Mintra is honest. She showed how naive and selfless Mintra are, and how supportive and protective she is of her family. Her devotion to her evil half-sister despite the abusiveness and harsh bullying she receives from her, Mintra never wavered in her love for her. She is indeed a curious creature who takes decisions without thinking, which always gets her in trouble...but that`s the idea of giving more drama to the whole story i guess. She spends many episodes of hating Sila, because he is the result of her unhappiness, but i am glad that when she fully understands him..she stick to his side and never leaves him no matter what. These two people comes from the same backgrounds, both being born because of an affair. The bond is there the second they reunites many years later...and the undenyable amazing chemistry between Ferny and Tor is also one of the reasons this show has come to be such a fascinating experience. Every dialuge, touch, kiss and glance between them as Sila and Mintra are gold to the extreme. I am NOT kidding about that!
As for the villians...OH MY GOD what a despicable psychopaths the step-mother and the half-brother was! No wonder Sila hated them to the death and wanted to make them suffer blood! Both mother and son were heartless, narcissistic, black-hearted murderers who looked down on everyone. While i also think the son deserved his ending 100 %, i found the character of the evil step-mother Sida (played by Siriam Pakdeedumrongrit) was really well-developed and had a depth as she indeed in a way was a unique sort of villian. I also have to mention what a powerful Siriam acted as Sida and how perfectly she showed the mightyness and evilness of Sida. She is a pride and strong woman who is a surviver and fighter in her heart. All for wrong reasons of course, but she is a woman who however evil...do appreciate goodness. She herself admits that she lost her heart the moment she found out that her husband had an affair and has a bastard child with that mistress. She points out that Sila`s mother and aunt both are dead peacefully, while she still has gone on living with a dying soul and tormented heart. Sida herself is a well-made villain herself too, and while i do not condone her for what she has done...she does indeed get the punishment she fully deserves. I just have to mention again how wonderfully the actress acted as Sida- a worthy villain indeed.
Great acting by everyone in the whole cast, skill-ful directing and wonderful story-line that develops in a different way than how the older version did.I also love the background music, especially "I need to get you out of my head" and the old song (that is from the older version that also shows in this 2019 version sung by Tor) " Hua Jai Kong Ter".This is a slap-kiss romantic thriller drama...so expect lots of forced kissess, burning chemistry, sexy romance, murder, games of win or take, jealousy, heart-break, badass sexy hero...and a brave heroine who dares to love him.!

I just want to say that if you are looking for really good chemistry between the leads and a lot of wrist grabbing, my friends this drama is it. While the storyline itself is not so unique or complex as it is a typical revenge plot drama, the chemistry and acting between the characters make it really great. The romance in this story is what kept me watching this show in one sitting.
The chemistry between the two leads Sila (P'Tor) and Mingtra are intense and sensual every single time when they meet. While Sila is that typical cold guy being mean to everyone, he is sweet to Min as he always teases and finds a way to kiss her (which he mostly ends up getting a slap from her lol). What I want to mention is the dedication and loyalty he has towards Mingtra is what captures your heart instantly. Even though he owns a prostitute night club and comes off as a player type, his eyes are only set for her. As he has a revenge plan set in place, he cannot reveal his true identity as P'Tor and hence keeps on denying his identity to Min even though she knows in her heart it's him. This can cause him to be blunt and intimidating towards her, however, his attitude to her is never once abusive.
Now on to Mingtra. While she is the typical miss goody two shoes, what I loved about her character is that she was always assertive and making the best of her current situation while dealing with hardships. Her belief in Sila really being P'Tor is unwavering and she always stands her ground to Sila, always challenging on his true identity and whether his quest for revenge is truly necessary. In addition, she is headstrong and plays a huge support system for Sila. She is an example of how you can be nice and intelligent without being foolishly naive as this is a typical trait of many "good girls". She is very much admirable and as I said before, she stands her ground. She makes her own choices and is not that typical needy FL (its rather the other way around)!
Sila and Mingtra together, have a solid understanding towards one another and never once do their feelings towards each other falter. If you guys are into slow romances, this drama is it. Although Sila is pretty much in love with Mingtra the minute he recognizes her, it does take time for Mingtra to admit her feelings for Sila. Mingtra is shy about intimate contact, something that Sila does a lot to her, hence why he teases her alot. But that's what makes their interactions cute. The ML's facial expressions in reaction to her are priceless.
Watch this show guys! The plot's good and the romance is even better!!! There are no bs love triangles in this show. The main leads are loyal, and consistent to one another and their bond is truly heart warming. I would say their romance is comparable to that of the lead couple in Healer (also another similar, really good show).
