My ID is Gangnam Beauty Episode 3 Reacties
At first it was still weighing on me that Mi Rae seemed more concerned with the Dog Senior (now the Mop!) telling her she was plastic. I suppose if I looked at the actress I think maybe she's had work done, and it would be smart for this role to pick an actress who has had work done. It doens't look terrible or anything, and quite honest I could care less. I would think in Korea it would be pretty normal, but I think in general looks are picked on period. Back on track. It bothered me that she wasn't more worried about her father's reaction. Though later in the episode it is addressed. I think his father is more shocked than anything. Maybe he couldn't see the bullying and it's affect on his daughter. He just saw the studious student. As a father how could he ever see is daughter as ugly. It's sweet, but also telling. He went through school too and had to have a clue to how cruel the boys can be. I think it was finally addressed though. Also through her mother's eyes as she comforts Mi Rae. Letting her know that no one is just breezing through life. We all have our worries.
We see Kyung Suk mom has popped up and we get to see into his father's life a bit. I like that both leads are getting rich stories and we get an extra peek not only into their lives, but family members. Someone who is clearly on getting some basic setup is Woo Young. He's the TA. Clearly has enough at this point that we know he's nice and interested in Mi Rae. I hope that's not all the second lead is getting.
It's also clear Kyung Suk and Mi Rae are good for each other. Why questioning Mi Rae about why she got surgery he relaizes that she's judging other women's faces. He points it out. Maybe in a way that makes it seem like she's shallow. He reflects on it and maybe realizes that she thinks that way because of the way she was treated. I clung to Mi Rae being bullied, but on reflection judging the other women on their looks and not their personalities is what lead to Me Rae being bullied. It was nice seeing both Kyung Suk and Mi Rae grow from each other and become better. It's refreshing. I really enjoyed their lunchtime together.
"Overly self-conscious type."
Kyung Suk also points out how self conscious and cautious she's being. When the real Mi Rae has always been tough and bold. She's still getting used to the "new" her. I can't wait until the new and old Mi Rae merge together!
It's weird how careless Mi Rae was made. So she could give Soo Ah the idea to self hurt herself for attention. Which seems to kind of be backfiring. It's interesting seeing Soo Ah work. It's calculated. Clearly there's more to her, I'm guessing poor or something. Judging from her faking where she lives. I just hope Mi Rae can start seeing through Soo Ah. Especially realizing how contrived the whole flask drop was. (Looks more like a beaker to me.) Clearly Hyun Jung can see through Soo Ah easily, and some other people are commenting on certain things, so it's not to hard to go from there. After all Hyun Jung is her best friend! I hope she takes Hyun Jung on this perfume thing and not Soo Ah. (That would be so annoying!)
Side notes: The whole thing with the TA, Kyung Suk, and Me Rae was some epic arm grabbing. An arm grab triangle! Also, those lab classes ALWAYS have safety glasses. ALWAYS.
