Netflix series Melo Movie has confirmed its release date for February 14, and has unveiled a teaser poster and trailer.

Melo Movie is about young people who want to dream, inspire and rely on one another, and overcome their traumas.

Director Oh Choong Hwan (Castaway DivaBig MouthStart-UpHotel del LunaWhile You Were SleepingDoctorsMy Love from the Star) takes the helm. The script is written by Our Beloved Summer's Lee Na Eun

Choi Woo Shik plays the role of Go Gyeom, a self-proclaimed cinephile who goes from being a supporting actor to a film critic, while Park Bo Young takes on the role of Kim Moo Bi, a woman who once despised films but ends up becoming a film director.

Lee Jun Young portrays Hong Si Joon, who prides himself on being a genius but is actually an unknown composer, and Jeon So Nee plays Son Joo Ah, his ex who returns as a screenwriter.

The teaser captures the journey of Go Gyeom and Kim Moo Bi. Go Gyeom, a film enthusiast, finds Kim Moo Bi really interesting because her name rhymes with "movie". When he asks, "Why is your name Moo Bi?", Kim responds, "Do you think I got to choose my own name?"

Just as they get to know each other better, Go Gyeom vanishes just as suddenly, and re-enters Kim Moo Bi's life when she has become a director and he a film critic. As the two reunite, audiences are left wondering: Will Go Gyeom and Kim Moo Bi's story end with a happy ending?

Writer Lee Na Eun said, "Melo Movie grew from the love and care given to my first project, and it's a story I poured my heart into."

"I aimed to depict the reality that youth, dreaming of movie-like lives, must face, and the future they move toward. Everyone experiences moments of movie-like romance or hardship in their lives, and through this story, I wanted to convey encouragement and comfort to both myself and those around me who felt lost in such times."

Melo Movie is set to premiere globally on February 14, exclusively on Netflix. Watch the teaser here
