Dae Jang Geum is Watching (2018)

Both series revolve around cooking and are romantic comedies. Fang Da Chu is more historical but both series go pretty deep when it comes to explaining the meals that are cooked.

Both dramas show appreciation for food.
The leads critics the food and they really enjoy the food and show others how to eat them. Both dont center on romance altho dae jang geum has more of it than lets eat.

Both have the same calm and cheerful mood focused on eating (Dae Jang Geum is watching) and drinking (Drinking Solo). Both have enjoyable romance and funny characters among the company workers.

It has the same female lead, but her ability to show enjoyment of eating food is heightened in DJGiW. Also the Male lead in DJGiW applies a rating system to restaurants he visits which is similar to GoHo's star rating for guys. Same kind of light vibe to both.

Dae Jang Geum is Watching imagines how the descendants of Joseon's first female royal doctor Jang Geum might live today; the famous historical drama classic Jewel in the Palace is the story of her life. One is a sageuk and one is a romantic comedy, but they are connected by way of the backstory.
