I just finished watching this drama and of course it made me cry. I loved their chemistry and how their romance grew slowly. I didn't really like how the first main character image are portrayed because I feel like there's no point for the main character to have that certain look because they didn't even use him in the end. We can still call ourselves ugly even though we may be beautiful on the inside or outside. But idkk. The song is AMAZING. Especially Fallin by Kim Feel. Hopefully I don't cry randomly whenever I hear that song. I also like how its a two kind of romance-ce. The romance between the detective/policeguy (forgot his name) (FROM REPLY 1997<3) AND the real min-do this drama wasn't the best but was a good choice watching it. Learned life lessons and consequences. Hope to see more of Ahn so yeop drama and OFcourse my Park BO YOUNG♥️♥️ THe second episode truly made my cry because of the preview. Like, they really gave us that preview to have a cliff in our mind. That we need to watch it ASAP to understand why seyeon is crying and why he ---spoiler----Died. His death is truly devastating but the thing that I really don't understand is him coming back. I wanna know more how he came back. They showed but it doesn't make sense. That old man.. Need more part so the viewer can understand his point. But overall, I like it. 7/4/19 2:42am <3

save me from misery park boyoung
my GOODNESS am I disappointed,,I have a small goal to watch most of park boyoung's works so that was why I started this, and I will say that the premise did intrigue me, and the first 3 or so episodes were good, but it lost its charm very quickly
and the acting is atrocious,, I don't know what it is but the two leads really do carry the show,, I don't often drop shows, I don't want to make that a thing I do but it's been almost 3 months and I only just finished episode 7...
all I have to say is that I do love park boyoung, her work is some of my favorite, but sadly not this time,, I do not have the time to care about or put myself through an "old" serial killer with long hair, no thanks

Some may like it, others may not.
I thought the beginning of this drama was very original and worth checking out. However, I just felt like the acting kept disappointing. I'm not sure why but half way through and Park Bo Young has gotten annoying with how she portrays her character. In some scenes she does okay. Others might disagree and that's fine. I enjoyed her acting in other works but not this one. The plot is good and I wish I could enjoy it more. However, I find myself wanting to stop watching. I've never given up on a kdrama before but this might be the first one. I want to give it a fighting chance so I'll try to hold out and see if my thoughts change.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Boring storyline
"Abyss" had an interesting concept, but I found it quite boring overall. while the actors did a great job, the storyline didn't grab my attention and felt too slow. It lacked the excitement and spark I was hoping for. I eventually stopped watching because it just wasn't interesting enough to keep me invested.Vond je deze recentie nuttig?
Must watch very well written
I was about to drop it because of reviews but then i gave it a try. And i am amazed this is such a well writte drama and very interesting.. loved it.. but i have only one issue why would they call a goddess like pby ugly? She is the most beautiful woman. Plus han sohee also god ugly when she was awake from death. She just showed her ugly face for 2 mins and after that she was same again lol. Only pby has confidence to present herself according to the script. That lady is a legend love her. Plus ahn hyo seop is hansome. Resenha “O abismo mágico”Tava de ressaca de dorama e fazia tempo que não terminava um drama (desde dezembro) e o abismo mágico foi um ótimo cura ressaca.
O dorama em si tem uma trama bem única com o chamado “abismo mágico” que o protagonista Cha Min recebe após ter sido morto acidentalmente por dois alienígenas. Com esse abismo mágico, o protagonista consegue ressuscitar qualquer pessoa, e ela terá a aparência de sua alma. No caso de Cha Min, Go Seyeon e Oh Yeongcheol, suas almas divergiam de suas respectivas aparências, ou seja, de primeira não os reconheceram. Uma pena que não explicaram esse lance das almas diferentes dos corpos no drama, tava querendo muito saber o porquê :(
A trama principal do drama gira em torno do assassinato de Go Seyeon (a qual é ressuscitada por Cha Min) e os protas investigando a causa de sua morte. Com o desenrolar do drama somos apresentados a diversos personagens secundários super interessantes como o detetive Park Dongcheol, sua ex-namorada e que apresenta a mesma aparência da alma de Seyeon, Lee Mido, a ex-noiva de Cha Min, Jang Heejin e ex-colega de Seyeon e cúmplice (que descobrimos no meio para o final do drama) do assassino Oh Yeongcheol, Seo Jiuk/Oh taejin.
O drama é super bem construindo e não deixa nenhuma ponta solta, com personagens carismáticos e que você se apega rapidamente. O abismo mágico me fez sentir diferentes emoções, raiva de personagens (como os assassinos de Go Seyeon), altas risadas porque a comédia está na medida certa, e confesso que também derramei algumas lágrimas no último episódio.
No casal principal o que não falta é química. Me apeguei demais a Seyeon e Min e torci demais para esse casal - que se tornou um dos meus favoritos dos doramas - para ficarem juntos.
Com isso, concluo que “O abismo mágico” se tornou um dos meus dramas favoritos, com personagens carismáticos e um plot maravilhoso.

the production was good, I can't complain .I also say that the performance was incredible, it would be a sin if I complained.
I love the actors, I loved the characters.
Of course, not everything is perfect, I can't lie, but what a drama that doesn't have a single flaw.
So in conclusion, I recommend...
I say it's worth watching, maybe it's bad for some, but for me it was good.
This is just my opinion, you better watch it and have your own opinion.
I don't know what to say, because I think everyone has their own opinion.

Poderia ter sido melhor
Abyss foi o meu primeiro drama e eu gostei muito! Mas agora olhando para trás, eu percebo que a história poderia ter sido desenvolvida melhor, havia peças que não se encaixavam. A trama também era enrolada e demorada, o vilão vivia fugindo e isso já tava me cansando, quando eu achava que ele ia ser pego, ela fugia novamente, era um loop.A química dos atores era boa, eles formavam um bom par! O final foi legal e apesar de tudo, eu gostei da experiência de assitir o drama.
Recomendo, mas não é um dos melhores da minha lista.

Te prende do incio até final, não consegui parar de assistir , história muito boa , diferente das demais, porque mistura fantasia , e um pouco de tudo , pra quem gosta de um dorama misto vai curtir bastante esse , com muita reviravolta do inicio até o final e um misterio muito gostosin de assistir que te prende a cada episódio. super recomendo. atuação dos atores não deixa a desejar , a protagonista e super fofa, não tem como não gostar. super recomendo , tem na Netflix , apenas legendado.!!!!Vond je deze recentie nuttig?

I mean, at first it looks like it's gonna be a fresh start and a new drama that you will love (like every drama you start lol), but when you keep going and going it just gets boring. It's not a bad story at all, actually i think that if they pulled it better it could have been a great show but i guess it just didn't full my expectatives? idk.sorry for my english skills lmaoo

I watched the first two episodes of Abyss but I became tired of the almost constant harping about the leads’ physical attractiveness or lack thereof. It makes them, as well as the people around them, seem boringly shallow. Yes, I know that it’s supposed to be funny: They died and got another chance at life and instead of being in awe of their second chance, they dwell on their looks. But that joke gets tiresome and I don’t think it works as a satire of Korea’s obsession with physical attractiveness. Because neither leads’ personality seems particularly winning up to this point (Park Bo Young’s character is smug while Ahn Hyo Seop’s character is just stupid), it makes this a hard watch despite the interesting setupThis doesn’t always bother me; I like watching pretty people as much as everybody else. But I wish the leads in Abyss could just get over themselves and move on. I probably will stop following this and watch the last episode just to see who the killer is. If I can drum up enough interest.

This show is a hot mess
Aside from the repulsiveness of using external beauty as an absolute metaphor for internal beauty, the questionable standards and moral relativism of that standard's application gave me whiplash.STORY
ML, who is absolutely every bit as obsessed with beauty in seeking a romantic partner as FL lead, is given a free pass on his shallowness, and even gets to lecture FL about it. Naturally, he is rewarded with a near flawless new appearance.
Apparently, it's right and normal for a man to choose a partner based on physical appearance, but a woman with the same propensity must be punished. Theoretically, anyway, since despite the script telling us FL came back as unattractive, she actually came back as equally pretty, only shorter and with glasses. Huh. That's it, I suppose a teeny bit shorter than average height, nearsighted woman is the absolute standard for "not attractive". Now we know. Meanwhile, an indisputably evil serial killer is revived with no defects that some push-ups, a shampoo, and a haircut wouldn't overcome.
All that not withstanding, the reason I dropped the show after episode 5 is that the producers/writers randomly and mid episode changed an established plot/script point with no explanation and then gas-lighted. What the heck? Formerly Dead Girl 2's appearance had changed after revival, as per usual, in this case coming back with freckles and thinner eyebrows seems to be the giveaway to her flawed nature, but in her next scene, with no explanation, she's back to her formerly lovely appearance. How does that make sense? She's an habitual fraudster and liar who just framed her ex for murder.
What makes even less sense is that FL, aka Formerly Dead Girl 1, acts like it never happened, even says it never happened(!), and we're clearly supposed to forget it, also. Nope. Nope-a-dope nope.
I started watching episode 6, but it only got more non-sensical, so I threw in the towel. A plot that relies on the assumed stupidity of the viewers (including me, how dare they!?) is an absolute deal breaker for me
[Side note: the script included the obligatory evil mother and I am truly baffled why mothers of adult children in Korean drama are near universally appalling characters who need to either be bitch-slapped HARD or arrested for assault/child abuse. That can't be true, right? Right?]
ACTING:
The many, many flaws in this production weren't due to the acting. The performances were decent enough for what they had to work with. I was especially impressed with Park Bo Young's range, even given the limitations of her character. Overall, the only thing the cast can be faulted for is still taking the jobs after they saw the script.
MUSIC:
Honestly, I didn't notice it.
REWATCH VALUE:
I hate that I was not allowed to rate it less than 1.0.
IMO this show is a waste of time, and a waste of a truly interesting premise, but it's your time, so yours to waste, if you wish.
